That's 50% more chicken than I expected

Kind of a half-cocked response by Subway if you ask me.

“The accusations made by CBC Marketplace about the content of our chicken are absolutely false and misleading. Our chicken is 100 percent white meat with seasonings, marinated and delivered to our stores as a finished, cooked product,” the company said.

but

In the company’s initial response to the findings, they stated that they “cannot confirm the veracity of the results” and they were “concerned.”

what

So you expected around 33% chicken?

Decades after the war, Hitler's right hand man sent a letter to a South African court with several PAGES of reasons that the holocaust had indeed happened. He was the only Nazi not to die or be executed, and personally ran the slave program which took people from the concentration camps.

But if you read Wikipedia, this is completely absent. The rifhtvwing members delete the information and claim it's "not relevant".

In fact, they also deleted several entries where Speer talks about how technology and the mass media allowed Hitler to rise, and he issued several warnings that we have ignored.

Speer even took direct responsibility for the slave camps and admitted that he deserved the punishment he received.

He also once told Hitler to kiss his ass, probably the only person who could do so and live.

He was the only Nazi not to die or be executed

if only this were literally true

Here’s more about it - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witold%27s_Report. How Pilecki infiltrated Auschwitz to get the intel is a hell of a story.

Some are good, and some are awful. Same as everyone else.

TIL EA charged real money for players to fill their tank with gas in the game Need For Speed: No ...

It's a shitty mobile game. No surprises here.

It follows the same model as every mobile f2p game out there. The gas tank is your "energy" and it fills over time or you use game currency to refill it. This is the most moronic EA hate train I've seen yet. "Mobile game charges money to get around cooldowns. In other news, water is wet and the sky is blue"

How much do you pay to unlock the electric cars?

As someone who plays very few games (and those are generally older ones with replay value like Bethesda games and the like)...

WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE STILL BUY FROM EA??

Don't buy from a company known for ripping off its customers. Jesus, it's not hard.

they could really have just sent any random group of canadians.

They were as Canadian as possible under the circumstances.

And stepping up to the first place podium, Mike from Sherbrooke. Following him is Dave, a Chrysler mechanic who hails from Manitouwadge. There's the real MVP of these Olympics, Other Dave, who traveled all the way out from Gander in Newfoundland. And finally joining them all is team captain/coach/"doctor" Uncle Billy out of Kamloops. Already absolutely drenched in Sleeman, this team's true leader steps... step...ste... there he's got it, steps up to the great applause of this adoring crowd to take his place among the greats. Truly a team for the ages.

Edit: definitely appreciate everyone calling out the corrections to the unintentional references I apparently made since I was literally just using my knowledge of my extended Canadian family members and my experiences living near the BC border as a teen to come up with the most Canadian written image possible.

But think of how sweet the bonus packages for executives were that year.

A dispute over $8.7 billion in Washington state tax breaks is heating up after Boeing Co (BA.N) joined a new lobbying group set up to preserve the industry incentives, the biggest in U.S. history.

The 2013 tax cuts were designed to "maintain and grow" aerospace employment in the state and are available to any local aerospace manufacturer.

Since the law passed, Boeing has eliminated 11,414 jobs in Washington, about 15 percent of its state workforce, the company's employment data showed.

Yep.

But the very same day, the company announced a 30% increase in its quarterly dividend and a new $14-billion share repurchase program. Chairman and CEO Dennis Muilenburg crowed that those initiatives signified Boeing’s determination to “meet our commitment to provide competitive returns to our shareholders.”

Boeing isn't magically going to get more airplane orders because you cut their taxes.

Just like a Wal-Mart doesn't sell more Twinkies when you literally subsidize the stores free money.

Just like how Trump Hotels don't magically get more guests because you cut their tax bill.

No company, ever, has added more employees simply because they owed less tax money this year.

Many companies throughout history have added employees because of an increase in customers who had more money to shop.

When you cut the tax bill for a poor or middle class person, they use that money to buy stuff.

When you cut the tax bill for a rich person, they say "well thanks, I guess" then put it in a bank in the Cayman Islands.

I was going to just pop in here and post this Then I thought I should look at the article. I was pleasantly surprised to find the article is about this very video. Neat.

Yah, a lot easier to draw a few dozen clouds vs a whole city for each frame. Just another example of how being lazy making things better.

This is because Superman is based off of John Carter. Yes that mediocre movie that came out a few years ago called John Carter is about that character. The idea being that niether actually has super powers but is just from a different planet with higher gravity giving them apparent super strength. But then of course Superman, over time, was just made into an actual super hero.

Interesting quote from the article

David Fathi, the director of the A.C.L.U. National Prison Project, who opposes all forms of prison labor, told me, ‘‘I think one important question to ask is, if these people are safe to be out and about and carrying axes and chain saws, maybe they didn’t need to be in prison in the first place.’’

My uncle is currently doing this. He loves this program. He was fighting the fires where he lived for years. My grandmother and grandfather were able to come see him. He was not in a jumpsuit, behind glass, or in chains. Seeing him happy, sober, and doing something to give back to the community gives us hope.

We'll trust them with our lives but not around your unattended vehicle. Sounds to me like these are fundamentally good people without a legitimate chance to lead a happy and productive life, then.

I was one of them at one point in time. I think my day pay got up to like $3-4 a day, and fire pay was $1 per hour. Best job I ever had.
