Fucking hell, shots fired WaPo.
An elephant never... uhh... I do not recall the rest of the saying.
I think this might actually be the way forward. This will sound pretentious, but I mean it -- as a designer, you spend a lot of time thinking about the symbols and visual motifs that have been the most consequential in history. This graphic and what the WaPo shared can and should lead to a branding-based shaming of what the GOP now is. Logos are unavoidable. They will make somebody unconsciously question and consider them, and this is totally outside of US politics.
Wow, all these leaks in such a short period of time, it's almost as th though somebody pissed off the FBI.
But who would be stupid enough to piss off the FBI!?
Goddamn, the tiny hands on that fella, right?
"Investigators for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and several congressional committees are scrutinizing those contacts as part of their examinations into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 campaign."
Mueller comin' yo
“It will be the top news in Russia,” Konstantin Sidorkov, who serves as VK’s director of partnership marketing, wrote on Nov. 5, 2016.
Why in the hell does a candidate for US President care about how popular this would be in Russia?
I mean that seriously. What the hell?
Another night, another Russian for Trump.
Color me red.
This picture becomes more clear with each passing day. Cambridge Analytica, Operation Camel, Jared Kushner, Don Jr. It all is coming into focus. Slowly for many of us.
I am sure that Mueller has had this in crystal clear HD 16k for quite some time. I cannot wait to see what he reveals. This is the changing of the world and likely a new definition of warfare. The USA was not prepared. This time. We need to be ahead of the curve next time and prepared to act on it, electronically, militarily, whatever it takes.
Before the 2018 elections.
This is a Brave New World indeed.
I hope we're up to it and ready to fight the fight.
He won 69% here in 2016. This is safe Republican as you can get
At least he was asking. Downright gentlemanly.
Apparently he was asking female staff members to let him inseminate them
If the alternative to electing a pedophile is voting for a nonpedophile, and you still wont go vote, you deserve whatever comes your way.
A pedophile who says America was better when slavery was around
One would think they wouldn’t need a lot of extra motivation to vote against a man who basically said the best era in the country’s history was the slavery era.
We're talking about black Alabamans though.
Maybe you should have opposed it from the start since it's pretty bad for your constituents.
Now let’s see if you live up to your word. You know, your word. It once meant something
"There's a real fear that the tax bill is going to trigger a 4% cut in Medicare," Collins added. "I am absolutely certain that 4% cut in Medicare that I mentioned will not occur. I have it in writing from both the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and also Senator Mitch McConnell."
I'm putting money down now there is a 3.5 to 3.99 cut in medicare that will happen, so they will be technically true. And as a chaser, that when it comes it won't actually effect how she's going to vote on the bill.
You know, your word. It once meant something
This is a party that supports child fuckers for the Senate now. I doubt Republicans care about their word.
Meanwhile, Ryan has promised to attack and cut entitlements. LOL
I recently moved from a blue state to TN and you can bet your ass I'll be doing my part to turn this state purple.
It feels like a good time to be a Democrat in Tennessee. I like what I've seen and read from James Mackler, but I'd be happy supporting Bredesen if he wins the primary. Justin Kanew is taking aim at Marsha Blackburn's House seat, which would put her out of office if she doesn't win her Senate bid. Craig Fitzhugh launched a run for governor, and as a banker, outdoorsman, and NRA member, he has some crossover appeal to moderate Republicans.
We aren't going to be turning blue anytime soon, but I think there's a very real chance to chip away at the solid red stronghold.
I guess you can say the rural Americans are losing their GOP golden age they can't keep turning out to vote against Democrats because their numbers are shrinking.
Seriously though, thank you.
What’s most damning is the handwriting on the card. It’s indistinguishable from the handwriting in the yearbook. Nelson and Gibson didn’t know one another, yet both have old documents bearing Moore’s signature, and the writing matches other samples. To believe that the yearbook inscription is forged, you have to postulate that a master forger somehow got access to both Nelson’s yearbook in Anniston, Alabama, and the scrapbook in Gibson’s attic in Delray Beach, Florida. And you can’t blame the Post, which revealed Gibson’s story but not Nelson’s. Only one person had access to both women: Roy Moore.
The handwriting is not only in the cards, the handwriting is on the wall; only one person/entity had access to both of these women little girls.
The point here is that he was caught lying about whether or not he knew these women. This means he is likely to lie about the whole thing.
His core supporters don’t care. There could be video evidence of him committing these crimes (shudder) and they would claim it is doctored. These are the REAL delporables folks .
“Do you remember dating girls that young?” Sean Hannity asked him. Moore hedged: “Not generally, no
That one still kills me. "Do you remember molesting children?". "Not generally, no. There was some days I would hardly molest anyone at all."
Zinke again used a Park Police helicopter on his way back from Yorktown, reportedly in order to make it back to Washington, D.C. in time for a horseback ride with Vice President Mike Pence. Politico reports the flight cost around $6,250.
Nothing better for the insides of those two than the outside of a couple horses. Zinke just couldn't miss that opportunity.
...Zinke spent more than $14,000 on the helicopter trips, which were provided by the U.S. Park Police.
Pittance compared to what he's going to make giving away the U.S. Parks to mining and logging companies.
So the real reason Price was probably fired wasn't his waste of government money, but likely his inability to pass new Healthcare legislation?
a real brokeback mountain moment
Rep. Mia Love (R-Utah) called on fellow House Republican Rep. Blake Farenthold (Texas) to resign on Thursday following reports that the Texas lawmaker used taxpayer money to settle a 2014 lawsuit with his former communications director, who claims Farenthold sexually harassed her.
Love was asked on CNN if Farenthold should resign after the House Ethics Committee announced Thursday it would impanel a subcommittee to investigate allegations of sexual harassment against him.
"Well, look, this is a culture of behavior, and I don't think that he thinks he's done anything wrong," Love said. "But the fact is, somebody was paid off. And what's frustrating to me is, the money that was used, it's taxpayer dollars."
"So should Farenthold resign?" CNN's Kate Bolduan asked.
"I think that he should voluntarily resign," Love responded.
Well shit, that's honestly surprising.
Rest of GOP reps: told you this would happen when we let her in.
“We thought she was that Arab pornstar!”
Then we’ll either take to the streets or passively accept that this country is beyond redemption.
Edit: I hope it’s the first one.
Then, quite simply, America is done as concept and a country. We were founded as a nation of laws, not men. The great American experiment will have ceased due to failure. And it will have deserved its death.
Unfortunately the dying throes it goes through will most likely reverberate throughout the world... but that's possibly a lesson for everyone else to learn: Never let one nation gain this much power again. For it will surely go to their head one day, for it will cause every one, and every thing... great pain.
TL;DR: Shit's fucked, yo.
Agreed. If Mueller is fired or if evidence is so damning and congress does nothing I am taking to the streets.
People have given their lives for less gross negligence against democracy.
