We haven't yet died in a nuclear holocaust, so no, it decidedly isn't too late.
It was too late last November.
The best time to impeach Donald Trump was eight months ago. The second best time is now.
As long as there aren't mushroom clouds over the DPRK, there's still hope that someone will remove the Con-man in Chief from office.
so... that's not going to happen.
Heresy, to the stake with the blasphemers
Yes, which is why I called it rancid horseshit. Thus me agreeing with the IMF's conclusion that raising taxes on the rich would not have a negative impact on growth.
That sounds suuper low tbh.
That's all that has been revealed, they redacted half the info before handing it over so it's likely they're hiding extra payments. Also it's just for February - April because then Mar-A-Lago shut down for the summer. So that's a 3 month period, which would extrapolate to about a $250,000 for a full year period. And again, these are only the secret service payments that have been disclosed so far.
The for-profit presidency.
Walter Schaub about to be on CNN to discuss these major ethics violations.
Most of the $63,700 in payments from the Secret Service to Mar-a-Lago were made between February and April, and were categorized as hotel costs on government expense forms. The payments are detailed in forms and more than a dozen invoices on Mar-a-Lago letterhead ranging from $1,300 to $11,050.
The purposes of the expenses were not spelled out in the documents, which were redacted before CNN reviewed them. The redactions make it unclear whether there were additional payments to Mar-a-Lago.
Running America like a business*.

I would too if I were in stuck in the room with a serial sexual assaulter and agent of a hostile foreign power, and I don't even have the screams of the uninsured who died from preventable conditions haunting my dreams every night
Mnuchin's lips have spent so much time on Trump's asshole, they're starting to shape like it
trump does the creepy get behind you shit and rand looks 'sheepish'
Jesus, commondreams, the plain facts of the situation are bad enough as is. Leading the article with third-grade schoolyard insults kinda diminishes the impact of the story. Effective media is factual and unbiased. When the facts are already on your side, no need to be bias.
Actually, to be fair, UNESCO has had some pretty blatant anti-Israel issues to the point of attempting to rewrite history.
Maybe if you're some prescriptive grammarian writing a rule book in the 1930s. 3rd person, object pronouns are perfectly fine in comparisons.
Cmon Roberts, you're sooooo concerned about the SC's reputation, right?
Right, so very concerned about the politicization of the federal bench. And that's why he doesn't want to even touch partisan gerrymandering.
Surely, he wont let Gorsuch's flagrant politicization of the Court go unanswered?
But thanks to the magic power of the (R) he will never face consequences for anything.
Chief Justice Roberts can do exactly dick to Justice Gorsuch. Roberts is first among equals, not the "boss justice". He has no authority to reprimand any of the other justices. Furthermore, Supreme Court Justices are not subject to the code of conduct for United States Judges, which means there's no violation to reprimand him for in the first place.
The Russians seem to be using a "gotta catch 'em all" type strategy.
They want to be the very best, like no one ever was.
I wondered why there were so many out and about.
I'm going to go with, "exactly as effective as they were in 2016" because nobody has gotten less racist since Adolf Twitler took office.
Yeah, but maybe (hopefully) some people got more anti-racist who used to think this wasn't their problem
as long as Northern Virginia shows up to vote.
Well, considering that Trump lost in Virginia, and there's no pesky Electoral College to fuck things up, this'll go better.
Kudos to the GOP for putting up two of the worst Presidents in American history back to back.
Bush Sr. before that, then Ronald... We haven't had a good Republican President in a very long time.
Bush went to war in the Middle East.
Trump went to war with America.
Bush was incompetent and embarrassing, but I never got the sense that he wasn't fully invested in the country. Trump clearly only supports his own interests.
A congressional watchdog is recommending the subpoena of former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price after he refused to cooperate in its probe of Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) related to stock sales of an Australian biotechnology firm.
The Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) on Thursday said Price was one of 10 individuals or entities that refused to cooperate with the investigation into whether Collins improperly shared nonpublic information in the purchase of Innate Immunotherapeutics Limited stocks.
What the fuck is this? A round of mafia? Subpoenas immediately please -- for all ten of them. Fuck these guys who think they're unaccountable to the public.
Tom Price's committing security fraud while a Representative and powerful member of the House Ways & Means Committee is no doubt a crime. The lack of charges for this crime are purely political
So much garbage comes out at such a steady flow from this administration that I'm having a hard time picking one thing to focus on....this is their plan.
