Instantly had that smell come to memory. It was so distinct.

And there were the little strands that were kinda breaking off so you could pull on them but then they would actually break and then you would be sad and then yeah

And that silky light greasy feeling from a new one

Rubbery no? Loved these as a lad.

May we never forget the inevitable ending to the Oregon Trail.

And the dirty names you'd create for your people that would end up on a tombstone.

That or your wagon flipping over in a river crossing, and losing your 500 bullets.

I guess your health could be considered “very poor” if you’re dead from dysentery.

You can play it here if you want.

Wow for like 2 solid seconds I was 10 years old again, at home with my family, playing the computer while the rest of them watched tv. Thank you for that beautiful moment.

Kick it Rockapella

I agree, this game was a big part of my childhood. This and, I think it was called Math Blaster, the one where you are in space and rescue your friend through the power of math haha.

Fisher Price record player for kids!

Fisher Price record player for kids!

Still have my after 30 plus years. Works like a dream and my kids play with it. On occasion. When not on the tablet or watching Netflix.

My oldest daughter now just turned 4 initially and still does say what is it. She knows how to work it but as none are in the adult world I can see her confusion.

Frog and Toad or Bert and Ernie records every night to fall asleep.

That's amazing! I wonder if kids nowadays would even recognize an actual vinyl record player.

When pizza hut was a sit down restaurant

When pizza hut was a sit down restaurant

It still is where I live.

My local Pizza Hut still has a restaurant area, but of the thirty or forty times I've picked up pizza from there, I think I saw it being used twice, and both times there was only a single table in use.

Back in the seventies and eighties, Pizza Hut was the place to be, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. If you were a kid or teen, there was nothing better than going to the Hut to play video games or flirt with girls. And their delicious pizza, of course.

And those red cups

Who remembers getting the free personal pan pizza for reading books? That was the shit!
