Ryan Shazier underwent Spinal Stabilization Surgery last night

i don't care if this means he never plays again i just want to see the man walk on his own two feet

neurologist Dr Anthony Alessi, who consults w NFLPA, asked him what he makes of Shazier's spinal stabilization surgery. "It's not good...We're not going to see him this season. He may not play football again."

Hello doctors of /sub/nfl , someone please tell me how to feel.

lets get real, he really should never play again.

if he does, every hit you will be cringing and praying to God he is okay, its just not a good thing.

I totally agree. Targeting the head of a player on the ground?

Not only that but the back of the head on a player not expecting it. That hit could’ve done some serious damage

And not enough people talk about the fact that Gronk did it with the arm with the METAL CARBON FIBER ELBOW BRACE.

1 game is a complete joke. It's ironic how so many Patriots fans vilified TJ Ward when he blew out Gronk's knee making a football play, but don't say anything when Gronk attacks a player outside the scope of football.

Bills CB Tre'Davious White on Rob Gronkowski: "The guy did what he wanted to do. He is what he did. Dirty shot, so what does that make him? Dirty player. Simple." White said he has not heard from Gronkowski since the dirty hit.

He probably heard about how the whole hood was after him, so he's laying low with no contact. Lol

Who cares if it was his first time? What Gronk did was dangerous and intentional. It definitely changed my perception of him.

It was a dirty play, but there hasn't been enough recurring dirty behavior from Gronk to label him a "dirty player." He hasn't turned heel yet.

On two occasions, Hue Jackson referenced the Browns -- 1-27 over two seasons -- as being 1-28. Potentially good news for the Packers.

I wouldn't be shocked if Hue FINALLY coaches a great game. Like ensures Duke gets 15+ touches, Keep Njoku on the field for more than 40% of the snaps, stop calling triple options on 3rd and 11 and they win a game. Then the media narrative will be Sashi was holding the team back.

Hue playing 5D Parcheesi while everyone else was playing football.

He's revealing part of the script!

Our local beat is 100% on Hue's side so that's not how they'll paint it. And we have enough lemmings in our fan base that will buy it in our local beat repeats it long enough. I have a friend who's otherwise a smart guy who told me "I'm glad we got rid of Horton, a 3-4 defense doesn't work in Cleveland" because Grossi says that ignorant shit.

Claiming BoB is a loser retread is ... uh ... stupid. Pretty clear that the organization couldn’t find a QB.

This article would argue that Hue Jackson is a better option than BoB.

More spoilers: John Fox is somehow not mentioned

It's definitely not a perfect article. They're too harsh on Gase, IMO --- he definitely made something out of nothing his year in Chicago. I still think it's good food for thought, though.

Matt Bryant getting inside Xavier Rhodes head.

He would then go on to miss an important late-game field goal, while Julio would catch two whole passes

Edit: lmao I should've known Falcons fans would take this poorly

This would be cool if Julio had more than 20 yards and Bryant didn't miss a kick to make it a 2 pt game late in the 4th.

Julio was not killing him.

Jason Witten’s Pizza: Open 24/7

Perfect.

On the window, instead of "OPEN", it should be a neon sign that just reads "3RD AND 10" since the two mean the same thing to him.

Jason Garrett takes a bite of the pizza, instantly stands up and starts clapping furiously

We'd call it "3rd and 8" and it would be open 24/7. Delivery would be slow af tho

I don't understand this firing at all

God damnit

This is what makes me mad. We knew it was going to be tough, and that it was going to take some time. But Jimmy Haslam said he was prepared for that.

Sashi has done a good job picking players, and this doesn't even include his UDFAs like Trevon Coley. He just missed on QB, but we were in position to take one this year. What a crapshow.

Hue is a football guy that likes all the good QBs

Like I could understand if they backed out of it after next year.

Sahsi clearly had a plan to draft a QB this year.

BREAKING: the hearts of Cleveland fans.

This pisses me off. It was a ground up rebuild and it was working. Every position he threw picks at was making progress. He brought a ton of talent on the team. The defense, which was 31st in YPG last season, is now 10th despite being absolutely racked by injuries. And he's ultimately getting let go because he didn't make a completely stupid and reckless trade for the kid who plays second fiddle to Andy freaking Dalton.

This is how shitty teams stay shitty; they fail to commit to a rebuilding strategy. Way to fuck it up, Haslam.

This what dumb teams do. They fire half the leadership and then require the new hire to deal with a lame duck. Jets did this. Dolphins did this. The Giants fired em all.

I am legit sorry that you guys are stuck with that clown. You fans deserve better

Just sell the fucking team. You're in over your head and, even though you just sold Pilot Flying J, you probably still are gonna need more money to mount your legal defense.

I actually thought that Haslem finally got the right guys in place in the front office with Sashi, DePodesta, and Berry. There is more talent on the roster now than there was when they got here, and the only thing we are missing is the QB, while we are set up to draft Rosen next year.

Haslem needs to fire himself. Get someone in there who actually can see the bigger picture.

This would be the brightest timeline.

That's more of an indictment of how badly the previous regimes fucked up. We have minimal veteran presence because we had to import veterans of quality because the previous regimes were too busy getting guys like Kiki Mingo and Justin Gilbert.

They let Haden go, because he was on a bloated contract, and not performing like a top 3 CB despite being paid like one. I hated seeing him walk, but understood why. Thomas was kept. McCourty and Collins are veterans brought in. Bitonio and Shelton are the only 2 guys left on the roster from all the drafts from 2011-2014. That's absurdly bad, and not the fault of Sashi Brown's crew.
