The title: "Canada has just detonated a bomb"
The article: "Canada lodged a World Trade Organization complaint"
My trust in the media these days is lower than whale shit.
"How dare Canada expect us to follow the law?!"
Because the US is the one currently fucking up?
Lol fuck no Canadians thank their lucky stars every day that we aren’t American
Yep, no abortions and protect fetuses, but fuck off once you're born.
My dad was a special education teacher, and his biggest pet peeve was the system on how someone was assigned to special ed or not. It is called an "ard"(sp?), no idea what it stood for, but he would come home after those complaining that kids who didn't need it were put in just to make them eligible to play football (gets rid of failing grades by saying they're special needs). Meanwhile kids who needed it didn't get into the programs, and he had to work around the system to help kids who needed it but couldn't get into special ed.
Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Process. My profoundly handicapped sibling attended public school in Texas. My parents had to fight for scraps of services for my sibling while parents of lazy and insolent brats got lots of services. Unfortunately, teachers are caught in the middle of the process.
: If you're preborn you're okay, if you're preschool you're fucked.
In fairness, most countries and cultures don't see this as racist.
I know swedes call kids "monkeys" as just a regular part of speech.
in Scotland we call them "wee shite's"
I totally get why people are angry over the ad at first take. However I think it's useful to understand that in this context, it's completely innocent. Kids of all races love monkeys. They play on monkey bars and climb trees. We should be able to differentiate between racists calling black people monkeys and a monkey/jungle themed clothing item for kids. Is it wrong for black children to wear/model stuff like this? I just feel like we're fighting the wrong fight here.
Reminds me of Demarcus Cousins making the NBA cancel their Chinese new year celebration because 'Year of the Monkey' is apparently insensitive to black people.
Like yes, 4000 years of Chinese history was all a setup to spite black folks.
Probation, what a fucking joke.
So much for the movement to take sexual assault and the degradation of women seriously.
Modern day America. Not to mention that they fucking gang raped her with 4 other males. And they get PROBATION.
At least it's a joke Chicago tells consistently. Remember the woman who live-streamed her crew abusing a disabled man didn't get jail time either.
The video, posted in January, shows the four — who are all African-American — cutting the 18-year-old white victim's scalp with a knife, punching and kicking him and laughing as he was bound and gagged in an apartment on Chicago's West Side.Social media ban 200hrs community service Prohibited from contact with two co-defendants (presumably not the 3rd co-defendant, her sister) warned that if she violates these restrictions "she may face jail time"
“No business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country.” (1933, Statement on National Industrial Recovery Act) - FDR

Hmm, Fuddruckers only has Busboys. Everything is self serve.
Probably fall. It'd filter out people who don't understand the costs and revenue of their business in the first place.
I've been a bus boy at red robin for a little over a year now and while I don't mind this happening because it will encourage me to find a better job, I'm really interested to see how they handle Friday nights. It gets busy fast and a whole lot of big tables
Are they also making people full time employees so they get benefits and don't have to rely on government assistance programs?
Or giving them set hours so they don't get burned out and feel as if their life revovles around Walmart?
Just curious as to why the richest family in America was not able to do this earlier.
The mental gymnastics in these comments could get people qualified for Tokyo 2020
Montecito has been hit by mudslides before, it’s not exactly in the best spot.
SB is in SoCal, but yeah
"Hey, is this emergency management? This is the mudslides. We're gonna get started in about fifteen minutes if you want to let everyone know."
The cried wolf thing only stops people listening if it actually ends up being pointless frequently.
Jesus, her smirk in the fifth picture ¯\(ツ)/¯ like she doesn't give a fuck and this is no big deal.
No, that's what we do to men, not women.
"Her punishment must be more severe."
It isn't because she's a woman and she'll receive sympathy from the authorities and probably released early.
Hilarious hypocrisy from a profession that often preaches, “if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.”
The fact that the police are expressing resistance to body cameras is beyond insane. You can't possibly make me trust you less than if you hide your behavior that has been filmed. Put cameras on all of them and our politicians and in our public classrooms. My buddy can look up a video of his daycare while his children are there. Get with the times and you will probably have a safer occupation.
Strange isn't it. And it's not just the cops, congress critters say that pensions are bad. Yet they all have lavish tax payer funded pensions. Not only that, they only have to "serve" 5 years to get their pension.
One set of rules for them. Another set of rule for us.
Can you imagine if the daycare center sued to stop the release of their camera footage? Everyone would immediately pull their kids out of that place. Not surprised the NYPD wants less accountability though.
The number of attorneys interested in expressing their grief to the teacher has gotta be pretty high by now.
Board president: "The time for public discourse has ended. Are there any comments? Yes? -- you in the middle."
Teacher: "I want to know how you can justify a raise for the superintendent?"
Board president: "Please sit down and be quiet. The time for comments has ended, as I told you."
Teacher: "But you just now acknowledged me."
Board president: "Madam, your question is both disturbing and unwarranted. Officer, arrest her."
I watched the video and she’s calm and collective, then approached by the officer, calmly removed and then it cuts to her screaming on the floor being arrested in the hallway 🤷♂️
belligerent adjective 1. hostile and aggressive.
I think you may have meant to say that the officer was belligerent. At no point in the video did this woman actively "resist" arrest. This was a gross abuse of authority from the officer and the board.
