COMMUNITY VOTE - How does the community feel about this "subreddit reset" and heavier moderation?
Hi everyone, I'm Ashanmaril. Creator of this subreddit.
So apparently at some point one of our moderators invited a bunch of new moderators to the subreddit and has been going through the subreddit removing TONS of posts. And he made this thread where he talks about a subreddit reset. I guess I can say I appreciate the time and effort put into this, but I've always kept a very hands off approach to moderating cause I think the community knows what it wants. Even if what the community wants is not what I or other moderators want, that doesn't matter because I don't think a few select people should get to choose what everyone sees. I've had enough of subreddits I liked being ruined by power-hungry moderators who just like to remove shit and ban people because they can. And I think of ANY subreddit on this website, /sub/coaxedintoasnafu is like the bottom of the list for subreddits that actually need moderating. I don't care if there's political posts, I don't care if the politics are left-leaning or right-leaning, I just want the community to upvote the posts it thinks are funny.
If the community isn't happy with this new moderation crackdown, moderation is going completely hands-off and I'm letting the community do its thing. This is a shitposting subreddit and I think the idea of heavily moderating it is a joke.VOTE HERE:
The idea of quality control on the mspaint trolling sub is the biggest snafu of all time... consider me coaxed
Yeah, to me it seems absurd to moderate shitpostposting at its purest form.
But I'm not vetoing the decision on my own unless the community agrees.
Overmodderation is killing reddit IMO
Really glad this was made, the mod going behind the original creator’s back to install rules that completely wipe out the type of posts that this sub had grown to love and be known for is extremely infuriating. It felt like a power move more than anything.

No. You know what? Just go away.
Every time someone posts a picture, a gif, a video, a screenshot, or just anything really that involves some kind of "corporate" thing - A video game, a logo, or probably just even the town hall of a city given how overboard you dummies go, you have to /sub/hailcorporate it.
I doubt you even work for corporate given how against them you are. You live in a cardboard box, typing on your CrapBook Pro, feeling good about yourself because you think you just "called someone else out" for being a corporate shill.
Just who do you think you are? Some epic 12-year-old on the internet with le cool fedora posting about how "corporate shill hails this, corporate shill hails that?" Well, I've got news for you. You aren't anything. You aren't epic, you aren't a 12-year-old, and your fedora certainly isn't le cool.
I hope in time you will learn that not everybody and everything is a corporate shill.
