@SenSanders: Despite Trump’s tax giveaway to the wealthy and large corporations, real wages have actually gone down, not up, since June 2017. The economy may be the best in history for billionaires like Jeff Bezos, but it is not "booming" for the average worker.

did you just ACTUALLY SAY “TRICKLE DOWN?” Get lost, you paleo-Reaganite. That concept was bunk then and it still is. My industry hasn’t seen significant wage increase, but I know that the company is making more and getting great tax breaks. They’re not spreading it around and things are tougher than ever. Back up your absurd claim.

Real weekly earnings for all workers remained flat for the year The Bureau of Labor Statistics' Current Employment Survey publishes data on the private sector, or about 85% of workers. Taking all of those workers and adjusting for inflation, average weekly earnings rose 0.3% in May to $928.74, from a year earlier. But that increase is largely because the number of hours people worked went up by the same amount.

Earnings had improved in 2014 and 2015 — in part, because workers were putting in more hours — but then they stopped short and have been relatively stagnant ever since.

For workers who don't manage others, earnings growth has slowed When taking a look at production and non-supervisory workers, who don't manage other people, earnings have been functionally flat for the past two years.

This data set divides their earnings by the hour rather than the week and found that wages for this group have only risen 7 cents since May 2016, to an average of $22.59 per hour.

By comparison, earnings for all workers, including managers, have grown by 16 cents, to an average of $26.92 an hour.

Hah, I imagine Jeff Bozos REEEing everytime Bernie calls him out. Did Bernie ever go on that Amazon warehouse tour?

NEW YORK — Joe Crowley is eyeing bigger things — but heading into an all-but-certain victory in Tuesday’s New York primary, the New York congressman is trying to swat away charges that he’s out of step with his district amid demographic shifts that are boosting women and minority candidates.

Nice work, Gloria Pazmino and Heather Caygle!

This is some tasty shit 😂

Thank you for posting this. HAH!!!! Caught!!!! Serves them right. Love it.

Israeli apologists are out in force I see

I downvoted you for defending the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians with your whataboutism.

Guess they don't have any black people to hate today.

FaustReborn is a one-day old account, so not surprising.

No, LePen is only a reserve of the establishment, just like Trump. The answer would be Jean-Luc Melenchon.

Most likely rigged. Who made their voting machines?

Yes, but I just saying how voting a neoliberal candidate only results in misery

And light right policies

You should have voted LePen and got it over with

Dear Democratic party: it's time to stop rigging the primaries

While the super delegate system needs to go, and I firmly believe it does, Sanders lost the total vote to Hilary.

I live in NY and voted for Sanders because I believed he was the right man for the office, but I wouldn't want to override the will of the people when it comes to votes. I hate the electoral college and think it would hypocritical for me to be OK with one and not the other.

I really do love Bernie and I think he will help usher in a new progressive era, but we need to realize that attacking the Dem establishment isn't going to work; we need to worm our way in from the inside and change the apparatus to fit us.

I think articles like this cause more problems and cause more divisions than we need, especially with an election coming up.

We need to stand together with the moderates and centrists and the socialists and the Marxists to make sure the Republicans never have a majority again.

We need to be laser focused on who our enemies actually are, and not fight with each other.

Dem establishment: Hahahahaha!.....Make us!

Look at those Twitter comments. You know you've hit a nerve when they get nasty.

Since nomiki shared it, it must be good. But many of us will need google translate to read it.

"Taking names and respond to that accordingly"

Fuck you and fuck the bully stance you're trying to take.

I love it. This administration keeps proving again and again how radical the US views really are. Any other administration would do the same thing, only in a more sophisticated way.

I posted this in another thread a couple of days ago, but it bears reposting here. It's from Aljazeera.

And you have got to watch the video link in the article. It's only two and a half minutes long. You would never ever see a video like that on our MSM.

UN Security Council resoundingly rejects US-drafted resolution criticising Hamas over recent Gaza...

The United States has voted against a Kuwait-drafted United Nations Security Council resolution calling for the protection of Palestinian civilians, while being the only country to back its own measure condemning Hamas for the recent violence in the Gaza Strip.

[SNIP]

Ten countries, including Russia and France, voted in favour of the Kuwait-sponsored resolution on Friday.

Four others - Britain, Poland, the Netherlands and Ethiopia - abstained, while the US, a major ally of Israel, was the only country to vote against it.

[SNIP]

The US was, in turn, the only country to vote in favour of a revised draft-resolution it submitted subsequent to the Kuwait-sponsored initiative.

The second vote saw 11 countries abstaining and three rejecting it.

The US version had omitted references to Israeli use of force and protecting Palestinians.

It instead demanded that Hamas and other Palestinian groups cease "all violent provocative actions" in Gaza.

Al Jazeera's James Bays, reporting from the UN headquarters in New York, said the US diplomatic efforts "seemed to have backfired".

In the video, the narrator calls it "a moment of diplomatic humiliation, She [Nikki Haley] was the only person to vote for her resolution."

But wait - the video gets better. It shows Riyad Mansour - Palestinian ambassador to the UN and he says:

"I don't believe that there was in the history of the United Nations in which a country to submit a draft resolution and not to receive one single vote. The vote of the party that did submit that draft resolution. If that is not the epic of complete failure, I want you to tell me what is failure in the security council."

That last part that is what a real ambassador looks like.
