Or people can just not act like little shits in chat?

Sure it's not perfect, but the game isn't nearly as toxic as other games that don't have these restrictions, plus it's only like a week chat ban.

Never had an issue with the chat filters or the bots.

I can see how using the word "gay" in a non derogatory context is plausible and should be allowed, and can also see how its hard to implement.

And the tweet said they are working on it.

I didn't even realise such a thing went on.

LOL what a pile of sensationalist garbage...the only "unrest" comes from people who feel their auto bans were unjust and that people need to lighten up, 99% of responses come down to "...have you tried not being a piece of shit?".

Hello! It's me again. If you remember, I posted My Beloved Lotus about 27 days ago. All your supportive words have inspired me to keep going and now I want to present the first entry to my latest Warframe project. It took me 16 whole days of struggling as I've never drawn anything remotely mecha before, and I'm not exactly skilled in drawing males either. Well, I'm hoping you like this! Thank you again for encouraging me.

Again, here is a link to my tumblr and twitter, if you are interested with my other works. Have a nice day!

thank you! (dont worry i dont have him too we can cry together :D)

The concept of flinging sword beams at people will always be cool to me.

Also this looks really great.

Ahhh bollocks I wasted a perfectly good meme!

You are a bold one.

This will make a fine addition to my collection!

Wait, don’t you mean just a Lex Prime?

Just build a second one. Own up to your title.

10p best I can offer

Well shit. Yes, not sure how I messed that up. Can a mod change the title perhaps?

The time to implement Scaling Rewards has never felt more appropriate

The time to implement Scaling Rewards has never felt more appropriate

When void keys were a thing, doing endurance endless runs was so fun and efficient because there was purpose to doing them: you got a lot of bang for your buck that you spent time farming for. It felt especially worthwhile doing T4 keys (the highest tier difficulty) because they were one of the hardest keys to farm for, meaning you wanted to get as much possible out of the key as you could. There would regularly be groups trying to go over Wave 20 in defense or 20 mins in survival. No longer is that the case.

Fissures have implemented incentive to go longer by giving boosters, but they aren't really what I'm aiming for when im doing an endless run, and they don't appeal to me or other veterans I know because we have more than enough resources, and there's much better affinity farms. When doing an endless run, im usually aiming for what drops in the rotations, not really resources or Affinity (Aside from a few occasions).

Why not reduce the drop rates of common items, and then raise the drop rates of rare items upon completion of a full rotation. Currently, a mode like Defense isn't worth going past 20 because the waves take longer to clear out. In excavation, it becomes harder to maintain power and health of excavators. In Onslaught, efficiency becomes harder to maintain. I don't necessarily want a humongous boost, but I want a big enough boost in drop rates of rares where it becomes more efficient to deal with the difficulty of the modes for those who can handle it than to just restart it. I want an incentive to hurdle over the challenges in Warframe, and Onslaught was so close in my opinion, but the general playerbase won't go past Zone 9 because there's no incentive to. I know people will tell me about the focus multiplier, but I could've give a damn honestly.Grinding and spending focus on my operator isn't nearly as pleasurable as getting something relevant to my Warframe.

Dear r/Warframe,

Dear r/Warframe,

Downvote me to hell for this but I don't care, this needs to be said.

Too long I have seen negativity and vitriol on this subreddit. I understand that this is a forum for people to post their feelings and suggestions and show off, but when the ranting and hate become all that is seen here, it's diverted its course. DE is a small development company, with a very small team compared to the giants of the industry like Activision or EA. This game will have bugs and balance issues, and it will have delays. Even "triple A" games have these problems. We scoff and make jokes when NPC faces in Assassin's Creed disappear or when things sink through the environment in Fallout, but there seems to be an almost rabid outpouring here when the slightest thing goes wrong in Warframe. So a question here is why is it acceptable for a larger company to have mistakes but DE cannot?

My second point here is that if this subreddit as a whole keeps bashing and begging DE for content, they're going to turn their eyes away from Reddit. A lot of good suggestions have come from Reddit and they've acknowledged that they do look here, but these suggestions and ideas are getting drowned out by the inane "where's my Excal Umbra" and "I want UniVac" comments. Let DE implement what they feel is best for their game, and take pride if they nab one of your suggestions. We are a community, and frankly one of the better ones I've ever been a part of, but every time I get on Reddit I slowly lose the hope that the playerbase for this game is different than those of CoD or WoW.

The biggest thing I ask here is to tone down the negativity and maybe start a polite discussion with people and maybe get an insight into why certain decisions were made before just railing on DE for doing something you don't like.

TL:DR - Don't be a dick on /sub/warframe and engage in actual discussions

DE is a small development company, with a very small team compared to the giants of the industry like Activision or EA

While they are small compared to the titans of gamedev, they are no longer the little dev team who could. They have millions of registered players and top the charts regularly

I guess we expect more growth from DE because the game is so great and is often better than the AAA releases but we get constant reminders that they are not learning as much as we hope

There is a lot of polite discussion but catchy titles often make it to the front page so for every "Fuckin' Khora!" post you see there are 10 more "An in depth look at Khora's skills" type posts with only a few responses

And can we not express that our desire for change stems from disappointment? We can't say something needs to change while also saying well done DE, those statements are mutually exclusive

DE is a small development company, with a very small team compared to the giants of the industry like Activision or EA.

DE's official website states that they have "over 200 of the industry’s most talented artists, designers and programmers", and with a revenue the size of 147+ million CAD (in 2016!) they can sure as hell afford to hire some more if their current 200+ employees isn't enough. They might not have as many employees as the industry giants, but that's a ridiculous comparison to begin with. 200+ is not a small indie studio, it's a pretty sizable one. Platinum Games, a studio that can be categorized as triple-A, has a smaller devteam than DE does, and they pump out quality games like Nier Fuckin' Automata.

Even "triple A" games have these problems.

A good chunk of triple-A studios have to work under ridiculous time constraints, thanks to various publishers, to the point where the amount of hours and effort employees have to put in gets actually unhealthy. As far as we know, the only time constraints and deadlines DE has are the ones they set themselves. There's some serious management issues going on at DE if they're supposedly constantly working on dozens of things all at once while haphazardly trying to finish everything at the same time.

So a question here is why is it acceptable for a larger company to have mistakes but DE cannot?

If you think bigger studios get away with glaring flaws without complaints, you clearly live under a rock, and not a single person outside of a blind, daft fanboy thinks gamebreaking issues are "acceptable".

Yeah, go ahead and turn your eyes away from Reddit. Just take a look at how well Bungie is doing, ignoring most if not all the feedback they get on their subreddit!

You're seriously blowing the amount of excal umbra and univac complaints out of proportion. A thread about Univac crops up here and there (for a good reason - there's no "choice" in player convenience and companion variety, but that's an argument for different thread) on the frontpage, but most umbra posts are ones that are humorously theorizing or spitballing something about Umbra or something along those lines. I haven't seen an actual "DE you little shits gimme umbra right now or i'll burn yer office down!!!!!"-thread in a long time, if ever.

The biggest thing I ask here is to tone down the negativity and maybe start a polite discussion with people and maybe get an insight into why certain decisions were made before just railing on DE for doing something you don't like.

There is hardly any more negativity on this subreddit than there is on any other given gaming subreddit. Right now there's negativity, for good reason, because the latest patch which is our first big content patch of the year halfway through April had an unplayable buggy mess of a gamemode and a frame that turned out to be total shit.

With all that said - I admire DE for various reasons, and as someone who wishes to work in the game industry, there is a lot DE does right and a lot other devs should take notes of. That, however, does not exempt DE from criticism.

Warframe has grown massively in size and popularity recently. With this fame and popularity comes a bigger community, and with a bigger community comes more vocal negativity and complaints when you fuck up.

If DE chooses to put their hands on their ears because they can't handle the backlash from rushed, shitty content patches, they can fall right back into the obscurity they climbed out of. You don't need to defend them.

They have millions of registered players

You mean over 26 million registered lose-- ,umm, users!

Let DE implement what they feel is best for their game

And that's how you get the entire Focus system, damage 2.5, Hema, the Archwing that made Titania un-fun, Khora, anything remotely related to Oxium, and general resource costs as a whole, nullifiers, augment mod band-aids, the original syndicate standing, both the original implementation of and the re-balancing of Tonkor, Ember re-balancing, "Volt is not CC", and more and more and more...

Saying that we should feel "privileged" if they "deem our suggestions worthy" is facetious and tone-death to the point where I legitimately doubt whether you are a person airing legitimate grievances or a PR firm shill "influencer" on reddit.

And the difference between something like an AC or Fallout glitch is that these glitches are in a single player game, which has a liberal safe system. And people DO get upset when things are completely broken, and not just a one-time or rare bug, like when games delete safe files or vast swathes of the game are just completely inaccessible.

So when people grind for an hour only to lose all progress because of a host migration bug, they are upset in the same way that someone is upset if all save files from their last 10 hours have become corrupted.

So saying that there is a disparity in attitude in regards to technical problems is completely missing the point as to why those different attitudes exist. It has nothing to do with people's attitude towards bugs being different because they like Bethesda or Ubisoft more than DE - it's because in most cases the nature of the bugs is drastically different.

I'm not someone who clamors for more new content for the sake of new content - though I recognize that there are people that do. It's one of the reasons why GW2 has stopped being my main game, as the "vorwärts immer, rückwärts nimmer" attitude completely alienated me from that game.

But that is the ONLY worthwhile point you raise, with the rest being completely tone-deaf and misleading.

Can we please get hosting options.

Can we please get hosting options.

Look, I don't mind having an incentive, no matter how minor it is, to have some reason to host. I say this cause I am one of the people who can't. I have a very slow/unstable connection with high ping when I host. I already set my options to laptop so I would be picked less, but I still end up as host on random groups sometimes. Can we please get an incentive for those with good internet to host, and those who can't an option to not bog everyone else down?

People know.

Problem is it doesn’t work. For shit.

I was thinking about the same thing. Mainly since the new onslaught and the ongoing hostmigration stealing players progress.

It would be awesome to have some kind of option so switch between three host settings for your own client.

no host: you are never the host on public matchmaking mixed / standard: the way it is that the matchmaking decides to put you in another group hosted by somebody else or making you a host only host: you will never be placed in another group, so you are always the host.

That way people could decide by their own preferences to host a game or not and join other groups only.

Its isn't supposed to be a "never host" button though. It just lowers your priority. So hosting a horrible lag squad at times is just working as advertised.

There is something similar called laptop mode in settings. It'll apparently change your hosting priority down if you set it to laptop.

Problem is no one knows this.
