Except it would be missing the D-Pad and shoulder buttons. Those are addons only available in the Elite BF2 edition controller package.
Different sensitivity settings would be available in loot crates.

Played before and after UPDATE. Facts!
I keep seeing the same shit over and over and over and typing this would be really hard so I'm going to try my best. DON'T BURY THIS just because it's not the narrative you want to see, this is literally my experience and answers to questions from someone who played the game for about 6 to 8 hours yesterday after they updated it. AMA
CREDIT SYSTEM IS REDUCED No it is not, just for campaign, I checked rewards and they were all the same and I also played matches, I was shit in one and got only 100 credits, I was top 3 on the losing team in another Ans I got 300 or so, my friends and I got different amounts at times, I think it's in tiers to be honest, top so many get this much then lest the next group and so on, I like that idea but can't fully confirm that whats happening but there is different amounts going around in a single game.
GAME HAS PAYWALLS, P2W, PAY TO PLAY I really don't think so, my buddy and I were both playing assault class mainly, btw I we haven't spent a dime on loot, and by dime I mean even credits, I'm saving mine for now to see what happens, but we play different and use different cards we crafted. He ended up getting a loot box for his scanner ability, it even was named after it, I got a veteran assault box, and in mine has a blue card with a character not ability mod (health regen). That is your progression, play the class you want and you will get the cards for it in boxes for it like was even stated. I used scrap at first and now I got a better card.
TOP PLAYERS ARE ONES THAT PAID Not really again, I have been looking at people who kill me and what they have, I did from blaster fire mainly from directions I am not looking or angles I can't get a shot at. Most my kills come from flanking. What kills me the most? Heroes, to which when I have a bad game I play strike. What do I see in strike? Objective gameplay and I never feel like I'm losing due to cards, more to lack of communication with my team, which we can't even talk about or work on right now because of everything else.
BUT THE OLD SYSTEM WAS BETTER I hated the old system, I felt like shit in it. People would have these gold or high mods and mine would be basic. I didn't have the time to grind it out and get that shit becuse i have things to do. But now I cam get good cards from playing a bit and if I i don't like what I got we now have an economy in place that I can just do challenges, get scrap, and make it. Could it use some tweaks? Sure it could. Should it be gone? I don't want it to be, for someone like me it feels more fair.
Edit: was typed on a phone on lunch break, just want to talk about the damn game, I want to try and talk about private matches with friends.
Playing on pc, got the first on Xbox.
Anything else, ask away.
I think the current system is bad, not terrible.
However, with companies like EA, if you give them an inch they will take a mile. This always happens.
It isn't about the quality of the game for me. It is about the anti-consumer tactics they are using. It will only get worse as people continue to support games with these features. It used to just be map packs, then season passes. Now we are seeing F2P shit in 60$ games.
Lol already talking about dlc. Open your eyes man
esports are killing the industry.
I actually agree...
A lot of us here are complaining in hopes of more changes happening so we can actually buy the game we've been anticipating. It seems like there are others who are using this as an opportunity to fight against all micro-transactions, not really caring about this game specifically. Or people who just want to shit on EA because of other past misdeeds.
I agree with Elliot so far in everythng he's said because he actually has a level head and knows the game has issues and we all know that EA & DICE are listening.
The problem I have is this: I wasn't a subscriber a week ago, but I'm here now because of two things.EA is pushing us further down the slippery slope of gouging even more money out of gamers for a brand they are loyal to, because they can. I actually want this game to be hugely successful and popular for years to come, because it is actually a great game at it's core, and I actually care about it not failing because of abusive practices.
There is a difference between coming here to simply hate on EA and coming here because you are concerned about the IP and actually want to see positive improvement not only in the game but in the gaming industry as a whole.
Stop trying to conflate everyone flooding into this sub as some growing cancer, because not everyone is just here for memes and drama, a lot of us actually want the game to succeed and feel like we need to do something to ensure that it can.
Elliot speaks the truth
Now this is an image I can get behind. Er...wait.
Disney has gambling that's gross, but this is fine. Jfc

When a duck makes more sense than EA.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The unlocks are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of selecting initial values based upon data from the Open Beta, Battlefront 2 will go over a typical gamers head. There's also EA's other adjustments made to milestone rewards before launch, which are deftly woven into this game development- the game's philosophy draws heavily from average per-player credit earn rates, for instance. The gamers understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate that we'll be making constant adjustments, to realise that it's not just fun- they say something deep about GAMES. As a consequence people who dislike EA truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, that we ensure that players have challenges that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Mat Everett's genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Mass Effect tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for appreciative gamers' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
Be clear to EA on this: There should be no option for spending money in-game since you have already BOUGHT the game. ANY AND ALL unlockables must come through player effort alone.
Cosmetic stuff could be the only exception to this - but only if it was really needed since it should also be unlockable by player effort
I've rarely seen a case where purchasable cosmetics could be earned in-game, but I'd call that the perfect balance. Less well-off gamers aren't totally screwed, but everyone else isn't forced to play with a skin they don't like until they can get what they want.
Of course, that won't make nearly as much money for EA, so it won't happen.
Okay, I feel like a lot of "gamers" don't understand how online games work, using nostalga rose-tinted glasses to complain about additional game costs.
If you want your game to be supported over the long term you have 3 options
DLC season passes
Increased base price
If you want a singleplayer game with one complete package (think Mario Odyssey or Cuphead) or a multiplayer game with only 6 months-1 year of support then yes, the base game should be all you spend. However, if you want constant, dedicated, long-term support for an online game via balance patches, additional content, etc it will cost more than a base game.
There is a fourth option: don't buy the game an no future games of that type will be made. That said the facts stand, the average player wants games as a service, not the "one and done" product of yesteryear.
I applaud the constructive criticism and dedication coming from both this community and other gaming communties in general in combating poor and lazy microtransaction and DLC implementation, since consumers have more power than they usually thing, especially en masse; but to decry the concept of lootboxes you have to accept one of the alternatives, or just accept that you're not the intended customer for games as a service and move on. So for those who want to pay $60 for an online multiplayer game AND have long-term support and expect to not pay a dime...it's just tone deaf and is getting very old.
I could name several games off the top of my head for that thing you have rarely seen. Overwatch being a very obvious example. It's a pretty common thing these days.
Leave the damn micro transactions in. They're great for people who have a lot of money and little free time.
However, the rewards for regular players should be reasonable. It shouldn't be a system setup to inconvenience the players so they'll break down and gamble.
EA could have their cake and eat it too in this situation but they've just gone crazy with it.
People getting downvoted if they posting facts about the game in a non-negative way.
this is getting ridiculous. People getting downvoted because they posting facts about the game, writing down their experience.
Come on. There was a guy who posted a breakdown of his daily achievements. Crafting, credits. Starcards. Progression.
and it was a positive feedback from the game. Downvoted to hell. Sometimes i think people just want blood here. Killing off EA/DICE blinded by their flustration and disappointment in a system what can be changed.
This sub's subscriber base has increased by over a third since Friday. These people are not here for the game. They're here for the circlejerk.
Can't stop a good ol circlejerk.
This subreddit has become a circlejerk now. It will be like this for a few days and then it will hopefully come back to normal.
I'm purchasing the game and I can see it has some flaws, but come on, this is ridiculous.
Most people are are people outside of the subreddit and just starting shit. The active users dropped by like 20k and will get lower and more quieter when the full launch comes
You googled "devs receive death threats", what did you expect?
This is only EA claims. No threats have been seen by anyone else. This is just EA trying to be a "victim" here.
They have done this earlier, when it has been "homophobes" or "conservatives" to ruin EA's business.
Do not fall for this EA crap.
He’s probably confused as to why porn pops up when he googles porn.
You can't call us "idiots", when you google "devs receive death threats" and expect something else. Ironic.
Whilst this shitshow has been going down, I've been too busy playing the game. If what people say is true about the grind I am genuinely curious as to where I got all of my credits from. Currently on 65k, only done 26% of milestones?
Yes, the ~1/4 of challenges I've done may have been top heavy with credit returns, but from a quick browse it seems there are many credit rewards still to come from challenges. I am at approximately 17-18 hours played. Also I have not played the campaign yet. Just been playing about in arcade, and trying out the different multiplayer modes.
Certainly don't feel a lack of credits yet. I'm holding onto them all however, because I suspect further change is on the way. Same with any crystals I've earned.
But honestly from.playing the game, I've not noticed much difference from cards. Apart from that one game of heroes v villains where.some guy had bought a fully kitted out Luke and Darth Vader. But it also helped that he was complete trash at the game and we just kept killing him anyway.
So anyway I don't really know what my point is. Other than there's a ton of people complaining who haven't even tried the game and don't understand it's rewards. I think things absolutely have to change, but did you know you get class specific crate rewards? Want to upgrade the iniltration gun for Specialist? Get kills with it, you'll get a crate with upgrade parts.
Yeah the whole drama is blown way out of proportion (big surprise, its reddit).
I'm also having fun. Sitting at 50k credits right now.
oooh look at you guys with your free 30 hours a day.
Front-load dopamine - that's 'how to hook people' 101. Rewards are plentiful at the start
Ended my 10 hour trial at 60K credits and only 5% milestones completed. I've not used any as I trusted the "leak" saying prices would get adjusted for Vader/Luke etc. Sure enough, they went from 60k credits to 15k the eve of early access.
Well done guys, you’ve made it on the BBC news.
(Star Wars game in U-turn after player angerhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-41981979)
Good good. People said we need to make big media pages. Here you go
This makes me feel better about reaching out to them xD https://www.reddit.com/sub/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/7cn7qd/doing_my_best_to_prevent_ea_from_g...
The worst part is they didn't even U-turn. They're just getting credit for it. We need to keep up the pressure.
LET THE ANGER FLOW THROUGH YOU, YES YEEEEEEESSSSS
