Salutes Alex Davy for not making Boba Fett a Commander
Also, that miniature, beautiful!
Speed 3 move, first default 3+ save, Jump 2, Sharpshooter, Arsenal, rolls extra defense dice if they have Pierce, places a bounty on an enemy that scores you an extra point if you kill them and live, has an upgrade that gives him free aim tokens against wounded enemies, can whipcord Luke and fly out of melee (lol), and his model is flying! God damn he looks like so much fun.
I suspect your going to see a lot of Leia, Han and Veers Boba lists.
I'm playing rebels, but this Boba will be mine
Boba got the best pose so far.
Has me intrigued on the other operatives though. I wonder who they'll pick as the second Imp Operative. Another Bounty Hunter would be fun but wont vary much from how Boba works.
I think we can safely say Chewie is an operative for the rebs.
Chewie with Guardian seems a pretty safe bet. Could also see them go that route with Lando.
There's a whole host of Bounty Hunters they can pick from, even one or two that might be Rebel friendly.
Maybe even do some funky stuff like have R2 and C3PO as buff/debuff units.
I'm really glad he's not a commander.
So I’m heavily into customising my Star Wars: Legion miniatures. My latest effort is this 501st Legion squad leader. I created the flag using this great tutorial; the figure painting on Sorastro’s wonderful Youtube video, though my paint job is no where near as professional as his. I am strictly a table top quality painter.
The pelt is from a Warhammer 40k Space Wolf box. The flagpole is a length of white-plastic wrapped wire. Basing is two grades sand material: a few larger pieces glued individually followed by painting on watered-down PVA and a dip in a bucket of smaller grade.
There are a few more touch-ups and some weathering to complete, then the model will be sealed with a matte spray followed by some desert grass applied to the base.
I’m proud of this model and I think the burst of colour among so much white of an Imperial army will make it stand out.
Should prolly refer to it as a womp-rat pelt
Actually I have a barbarian pewter mini for D&D that has that same pelt! Excellent custom job.
It’s actually from a very rare brown-furred Balinak (normally they are white).
You do you man, if you're having fun with it that's all that counts. If people complain about lack of players in their area it's because of bullshit comments like "I wouldn't play against this ever" that drive others off.
Nevermind, found it.
the tribbles are an excellent little detail
Take your upvote you glorious bastard!
You might have to wait a few weeks. He said on the forums it’s been averaging 2-3 weeks for Disney to approve his Legion videos since FFG contracted him to do the series. I did mine in a more monochromatic pallet using mechanicus standard grey, celestra grey, pure black, and pure white. Mixing these for separate tones. Pure nuln oil for dark shades and a thinner nuln oil for the lighter parts. And I always dry brush my weapons in Runefang Steel. I love the shine it gives them.
What green is that?
Shading to die for... throws own Legion minis in a barrel and sets them on fire
How did you get your blending so good? Especially on the goggles?
amazon is where I got mine. This one is the Revell First Order Tie. Painted to look like the classic. it was $14 bucks
Oh, it’s beautiful...
Where is everyone getting these tie fighter models for terrain from
Looks great btw
That's awesome! My immersion is slightly bruised by the fact that he died during the Clone Wars though :P
What did you use?
I think someone did a mod where they removed the windows and put pilots in.
If only the trooper miniature quality was as good as the vehicles I would be so happy.
How did you get the body panels outlined? Did you use thinned down wash or did you outline them by hand? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I’m a new painter and I’m trying to figure out what techniques people are using.
I did purchases Legion, but still agree with all your points. I'm weak. It said star wars and I couldn't resist. But let's not also forget the biggest kick in the nuts: You're SW Imperial Assault mini's aren't compatible!
I love all those imperial ships as terrain! I only see the a-wings and x-wing models used.
Saw this picture on a FB page I liked. I though it was pretty well done and wanted to share with you all. Im posting the link to FB below to give credit to them.
edit There are additional photos on the page. enjoy
Is that Lambda one of the old Kenner toys or is it scratch built?
Nice, I've had a vision in my mind of doing something like this, I just lack the funds to buy ship models at the moment.
Any idea what the floor is made of?
John Cena's Bike
I too am looking for my Speeder... last seen in the forest of Keshyyyk https://imgur.com/gallery/m2CZV
I agree it's "easy" from a technical standpoint but I admit my method was a bit tedious. Got a small brush really full of paint, put a dob of paint down and spread it around in a blob, repeat. Wash afterward. Took me about an hour and a half to two hours, but I admit I'm not an efficient painter (I still have unpainted stormtroopers from launch day staring at me, and the game has been out, what a month now?)
Love it did mine base black with camo stripes black and white
