Fox was anti-Trump initially. Before he won the primary.
Now she defends him like he's Jesus reincarnated.
Trump is again deligitimizing the media. Today was the deadline for Kushner to submit his 'Russian backdoor'info, which he has just delayed
Lmao. I swear the public has a 1-2 week memory span when it comes to bullshit like this.
Didn't they already do that study and found FoxNews listeners had the lowest comprehension of facts, and that FoxNews itself makes the most factually incorrect statements?
Wow its almost as if the entire base of republican viewpoints is built off of a foundation of lies and distortions of facts. Incredible.
"Shows you the danger of saying things that just aren't true."
Then they realized he was parroting everything they said on Twitter, usually mere minutes after they said it. Easy monkey to control.
No contest needed to determine which President is most dishonest.
At least I can remember it to continue sharing this. Not like The Trumpleforeskins will care but I'll continue sharing it anyway.
Well, sure. They can't win on their actual policy, because it only benefits a wealthy minority. So they have to dupe their voters and enrage them into voting against their own self-interests.
It's been working very very well for them.
Full text of said tweet:
"We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!"
I know the guy is narcissistic, but believing he is everyone's favorite President? Hoo boy, that's a new low.
"and not including Fox"
Just curious, what did fox report that he’s referring to in the old tweet?
What a piece of shit
Fox hated him until they realized his nomination was inevitable, and CNN loved him because they thought he'd lose in the general election.
Trump makes Harding look like FDR. Seriously, Harding's worst scandal was teapot dome which, until watergate, was the most prolific presidential scandal. Can any of us honestly say that Trump's nepotism, assault on the free press, numerous connections to Russia, emolument infractions, 16 sexual assault allegations, and racist agenda are less bad than watergate?
Nixon and Harding are often rated among the worst presidents, but Trump will likely go down as the worst president in history.
Those replies are gold.
LADIES 4 TRUMP @ladies4trump
Mar 10, 2016 Replying to @realDonaldTrump @realDonaldTrump @FoxNews I guess they think we are some sort of fools- hate the misleading ads also, it's propaganda we can all see!
Well they would win so you have to take them out of the running
Nope. They are bots.
This is Fox News' front page on Mar 15, 2016. There is a link to Donald backtracking on a statement. I don't know if that's it, but I didn't see any negative headlines on the 16th. Also this one on pundits talking about violence at his rallies.
I'm a fucking idiot
Conway also defended the "legitimate rape" guy.
She's a monster.
i'm convinced that people are going to think no way in hell trump wins again, and not go vote. then be absolutely outraged when he wins again.
This entire administration has too much bullshit. You can’t keep up.
Today alone the news has Trump denying the pussy tape and mocking Elizabeth Warren to Navajo code breakers.
which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox,
The only reason to exclude Fox from the "contest" is if their inclusion would change the results. Which is to say, Fox would win "most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted" title and even Trump's grammar knows it.
This is the first time I've seen any of these clips, I really wish Seth Myers had played them when she was on his show.
Plus they wanted to keep that sweet ad revenue for Cheap Gold and Lifelock.
Yes, that's the problem. Reality is that after GW Bush, Republicans should have gone the way of the Whigs and never been able to hold office. They should've been shamed and embarrassed. But somehow, due to the shortsightedness of Americans, they were rewarded for their blatant lies as soon as 2010.
Yeah we wouldn't want to place the blame on those who deserve it. Like the morons who voted for this embarrassment or the politicians who stated they would never support him then reversed tact and did just that. The Republican party saw a chance to put a candidate in the office of president. When they saw this opportunity they gave up any rational thought and responsibility for their actions. The democratic party may have fielded an unacceptable candidate but they didn't support or put this piece of shit in office.
HEY, quit bringing foreskins into this.
She's a sellout who will sell out to power. They will refuse to compromise to democrats but compromise with child predators and sex offenders. Something is seriously wrong there.
I love that Last Week Tonight viewer's were the most informed.
Can someone please print this tweet out on a huge fucking sign and put it outside the whitehouse like they did w that duck w Donald’s hair. PLEASE
the christian churches absolutely hold some of the responsibility
The GOP's dream healthcare plan.
I hope you are wrong. I hope this country goes as blue as it is in my dreams. I hope.
Trump has a scandal every few days. He's setting the bar for worst president of all time.
I guarantee every single one of these "Ladies 4 Trump" watches Melania like a hawk for wrinkles, hoping they'll become Wife #4.
Teacher, what is that horrible looking orange dick on the wall?
Well Charlie, that's the 45th president of the United States.
He denied the pussy tape? That is an undeniable fact, and he "apologized" for it. Chill with the dementia, Donny.
Someone release the N-word tape already.
"I didn't tweet that."
Don't you know? They are temporarily embarrassed millionaires
After 8 months of this, I dummy to.
TL;DW: Satire is good because it makes you more aware of the nonsense and bullshit that gets spread around by politics, while standard news stations are somewhat stuck trying to be professional.
Lets not pretend anyone thought he had a chance when he got into the race.
Whataboutism/false equivalency/facetious derailing of conversation/basically gaslighting when we consider actually how bad the republican party is compared to the democrats:Net Neutrality
Sets reasonable limits on the raising and spending of money by electoral candidates to influence ... (Reverse Citizens United)For Against Rep 0 42 Dem 54 0 The Economy/Jobs
Protect Women's Health From Corporate Interference Act The 'anti-Hobby Lobby' bill. For Against Rep 3 42 Dem 53 1 Environment
Dunno why this is controversial... you're right.
Dems winning a third WH term was seen as effectively impossible against a moderate like Rubio or Jeb. If HRC were to win it would have to be against an absolutely fringe candidate hopefully outside of the party.
People can ignore the reality of politics if they want but the DNC played a high risk game that they knew may fail, and it did. They put America in that position, thinking they were being smart operators by giving the public an 'impossible choice'.
The chumps who still support him for whatever ass-tarded reason.
Reading that legit made me feel depressed. Its like the things he says are so stupid that reading one of his tweets makes my IQ drop...
Just like how the shady car salesman holds on to your keys while he checks with the manager in the back to see if he can get you a "better deal" on an obviously overpriced vehicle. Wait long enough and once nonsensical choices start becoming valid options if you don't fight your way out of it...
Makes sense within this framework:
1) You say good things about Trump = you are good
2) You say bad things about Trump = you are "disgusting" and bad.
There is no additional depth or complexity about his thinking. I am quite certain my 4-year old has deeper and more complex morality and thinking process.
It's very easy to become tunnel-visioned when you work a job with minimal ranges of social exposure, and then come home and consume the same set of media every day. Large areas of the US are full of small, isolated towns full of people that do exactly that. I don't like conspiracy theorists saying that the media brainwashes people, but anyone would become attuned to that way of thinking in those environments.
'member when he skipped Fox News primary debate? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
How does a large chunk of a population become brainwashed?? I mean I get if you a hermit but don't these viewers go out in the world, jobs, shopping to get deprogrammed by reality? Can't they look around and see the poor and middle class are getting hosed?? Can they not look at their bank account and see they are not the 1%?
What are you talking about? We've always been at war with Eastasia.
That alone sets off every red flag imaginable
They purposely make graphs and charts misleading. Like fudging axes so that it looks like there is a massive gap between "bad thing" and "good thing" but if you plotted it on a full axis from 0, it's actually a minor difference. Example 2
Both of those graphs make it look like the thing on the left is a tiny fraction of the thing on the right, but it's actually more like 85%.
These graphs are all designed to elicit an emotional response from people who don't look too closely at them or understand how graphs and data presentation are supposed to work. They prey on their demographic with these charts, and these examples highlight the importance of basic scientific education. Even if you never pursue a scientific career, having the basic ability to understand data and make inferences based upon it is a majorly important life skill.
I guarantee they’re not female, if even human.
They support him because they think that everyone is out against them so they compulsively go against anything everybody else says. For an example, they didn't do shit about net neutrality because of "how they got treated during the election". It's preposterous really.
...who isn't? No offense.
Hah. The replies.
Warren G. Harding?
A small part of me thinks that his ratings would perhaps jump a tad with the racist tape...
Not OP but these were in the Wikileaks DNC dump.
Literally a participation trophy
Isn't it telling that there are no conservative satirists? And that satire has now become their enemy? That they fail to comprehend it in greater numbers than any other group?
I even witnessed butthurt conservatives railing against The Onion the other day. Even ones who know what The Onion is. Satire lampoons the absurd, and it is not the nature of reality that neat little lines directly down the middle of two poles are what defines it. Sometimes, one side is just far more absurd than the other. Satire, therefore, can rarely be anything other than "liberally biased."
Oooooooh! Nice catch. Trump will eventually contradict every public statement he makes
LMAO WELL FUCK
"...not including Fox". We should have a contest to see who is the fastest, but don't include the 400 lb, obese smoker with two bad knees.
You know voters have nothing to do with the government...things just happen to them and it's all the governments fault not the people who continue to elect them!
this tweet was on march 10th not the 16th :p
Is this “your favorite president(me)” line new? I’ve seen it a couple of times recently. It’s excessively twat-ish, even for him.
I mean, I'd say Jackson still has him beat. Jackson did real and immediate damage and wasn't just scandal after scandal. It's still too early to really judge/compare the two though.
Integrity. Honesty. Decency. A sense of Right and Wrong.
She has none of these things.
because of "how they got treated during the election".
Yeah, when you call anyone who disagrees with you a pedophile/libtard/cuck, they might not treat you all that well. 🙄
Honestly, it's a good strategy if they didn't also put up someone that's also awful and unacceptable to the general public. They put up their own "Pied Piper" without knowing.
While I agree, I also think the DNC needs a huge shake up for their shenanigans in the 2016 election but people seem to have short memories.
Context is just liberal propaganda!
Are we not gonna blame the 62 Million fuckmuppets who thought this guy was a viable candidate to lead the most powerful country in the world?
Hm... A dick has less tan lines.
last week tonight is on YouTube
It's impossible to underestimate what Trump himself knows. I only commented on what his grammar knows, though.
You're more informed if you read no news at all vs Fox News 😶
Does he even believe that? I don't know anymore. I truly think he believes he isn't being corrupt or dishonest. And that Fox by extension, is acting in good faith. What is truly unbelievable anymore?
Her actions and words are disgusting alone. Let's stick to that.
Thanks for volunteering.
I hope so too. I registered to vote for the first time in my states elections coming up in 2018. Maybe enough people will do the same and we can make a difference.
ugh, my mom still supports him. She is a dumb fuck, don't be afraid to tell your parents the same.
It’s also important to point out that she’s a cable news anchor. Sensationalism is just part of the show. She doesn’t believe her talking points nearly as much as the viewers do. Don’t know if that’s better or worse, though.
I've seen him use the "favorite president" line, and every time the top reply is about Obama being the favorite president. It took long enough, but this dope figured out that he was opening himself up to that and added some sort of modifier. What a maroon.
It's worse. She's knowingly spouting propaganda to further her career. This propaganda she spouts just further divides Americans and supports a corporatist agenda that will end up hurting most Americans. She's evil as fuck and she knows it.
When media decides to pretend the past didnt happen, followers who are looking for even a drop of justification for their thoughts and opinions will eat it up and further their path to delusion.
It's a good strategy when you're doing it for your favoured candidate in some client state. It's a bad strategy to in the most powerful country in the world, push the conversation so far-right so that it's brushing up against fascism because 'I deserve to be president and this is the only way to get the chances of that down from 90% to 50%'
I mean, ethically it's not a good strategy to push your country off a cliff on the basis that when they reach to grab on to something, it will be your hand. David Cameron did exactly the same with with Brexit - offer that poisonous cancer on the far right of your party a fair vote, because there's no way they will win, and your secure your power. These are only 'good strategies' on paper, when you put them in the field to actually play out you seriously damage your country and the stability of your democracy.
Honestly, why not both, The sheeple who voted for him and the DNC's truly dirty politics combined to give Trump super powers he would have never had on his own.
