Trump has been in the spotlight for 40 years. People know all of this stuff already and, apparently, they don't care. I think it's his lack of any credible policies that will eventually turn them off him.
The younger generation still has no clue. Just like Hillary, they are gonna start digging up every inch of all of his businesses
Here's an interesting take on how Trump earned his millions. He certainly made a very shrewd decision in selecting Fred Trump to be his father.
Wow... This will impact Trump like Rev. Jeremiah Wright impacted Obama!
Scandals make hillary stronger.
Personal attacks make trump stronger.
Maybe someone should talk about their platforms.
“I’m really rich … that’s the kind of thinking you need for this country. It sounds crass; it’s not crass.” - Donald Trump
He believes that being rich is his primary qualification for being president. Worst idea ever.
His positions have changed on everything I care about as a voter. I have ZERO faith that anything he says is true. I only believe that he will say what he thinks will get him elected. This is a man who is running to control the world's most powerful military in the midst of wrapping up two disastrous wars and potentially starting a THIRD.....has NO ONE he talks to about military matters.
When Donald Trump, the reality show tycoon turned GOP front-runner, appeared on Meet the Press this past Sunday, host Chuck Todd asked him, "Who do you talk to for military advice right now?" At first, Trump had no direct answer. He replied, "Well, I watch the shows. I mean, I really see a lot of great—you know, when you watch your show and all of the other shows and you have the generals and you have certain people that you like." Todd pressed him: "But is there a go-to for you?" Trump said he had two or three "go-to" advisers. He named John Bolton, one of the most hawkish neoconservatives, and retired Army Col. Jack Jacobs, who is a military analyst for MSNBC and NBC News. "Col. Jack Jacobs is a good guy," Trump said. "And I see him on occasion."
There's just one problem with Trump citing Jacobs as a national security adviser: Jacobs says he has never talked to Trump about military policy.
"He may have said the first person who came to mind," Jacobs tells Mother Jones. "I know him. But I'm not a consultant. I'm not certain if he has a national security group of people. I don't know if he does or if he doesn't. If he does, I'm not one of them." source
Instead of posting a 25 year old sensationalist documentary, why not try to have a discussion about Trumps positions: like lowering tax for the middle class and raising it for billionaires, making a deal with Iran instead of going to war, opposing the TPP, a liberal view on abortion compared to all other republican candiates ... etc.
It seems like redditors would prefer to to gut the middle class while slashing taxes for billionaires and Wall Street, start another war in the ME and prevent abortion for incest-raped girls even if it means they will die - rather than take Trump seriously because he is obnoxious and rude.
My god.. If only half you people grew up in the 80's and 90's and knew Trump back then and not just because he was on the apprentice. This thread would be going a very different way but hey go vote for him. Are the other candidates any better? I have no clue anymore but Trump is not the "hero" everyone here is making him out to be. Trump has always wanted power. More and more power and the fact so many people in this country are blind to that fact amazes me. Just because he is rich and you guys grew up watching him on TV doesn't make him some great person.
If this was pre-Citizens United it would be illegal to advertise this within 30 days of the primary.
Watch what? It's a Wikipedia page.
Still waiting for someone to show me any Trump endorsements by any intellectuals, academics, or even respectable people.
McCain/Palin and Romney/Ryan would like to have a word with you.
I was thinking more about how badly Obama was affected by palling around with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers!
Stand back Trump, you've just been served by /sub/politics!!!
I don't think it's safe to say that "people know all of this stuff already". That simply isn't true, I for one didn't know.
Is this Sarcasm? When did Trump become a self made man?
You could, but you'd be wrong.
You could tell me Trump feasts on the flesh of angels and children and I'd still vote for him.
Yeah they had far bigger hurdles than the youth vote.
If scandals made Hillary stronger, Biden wouldn't be considering a run.
