We have only explored 5% of the ocean, yet we are trying to explore space.
Thats like running before we can walk, shouldn’t we put more funding into exploring our own planet first? Who knows whats down there.
We've searched 0% of space...
Also, have you seen the animals in our ocean... I ain't going down there... ;-;
Thats like saying, humans have only explored 5% of the atmosphere, shouldn't we put more funding into exploring our own planet first?
Space doesn't have ugly fish.
Well there are people who explore space, and people who explore the sea. The whole world isn’t on the same page.
Space: mostly empty, some neat rocks.
Ocean: I think something just touched my leg?!
I've never thought about this before, bit if the universe is infinite then we'll always have explored 0% of space, even if we manage to explore the entire observable(from here) universe. Is 1% of infinity a thing?
The two are not mutually exclusive.
Yeah, I'd prefer humanity discover mermaids before aliens.
There's always more to find. Taking an educated guess we know what'll be in the ocean, more horrors. who knows what's out in the stars... literally everything possible exists out there. :3
Nope. The proverbial 'they' know what lies beneath. 'They' are planning our exodus to space.
Drain the ocean to the parts where there's deserts and make the ocean as deserts for a change! 😂
bottom line... space is easier to explore
Space is easier.

Pretty sure we can do both.
