I'm guessing she is saying, "put your money where your mouth is," for all the Russiagate conspiracy theorists who claim our elections are vulnerable, yet do jack shit to fix those vulnerabilities.
Bout time someone did.
Until there are bipartisan calls for paper ballots, you can assume A) no one is hacking shit, the Russia crap is conpletely made up or B) both sides are actively hacking votes to rig elections and don't want to surrender that ability.
I bet both ruling parties hate this for obvious reasons.
Gabbard deserves praise.
Absolutely. Calling the bluff of all the faux patriots pushing the Russia meddling hoax. If they really cared about securing democracy they would invest some money and technology in making our elections verifiable.
Maybe we can start with Primaries?
Good stuff Tulsi. I agree that the primaries are where we should equally focus.
If we did not end up with the "two major party" lemons that ran in 2016 we would not be be floating in the bitter rancid lemonade we are now in.
What is notable about that brief talk is that Tulsi managed to get through it without mentioning the word "Russia". Good for her! Election integrity is something we should all care deeply about, whether or not we are Russophobes.
Right idea, but you can't secure a voting system if electronic voting, scanning, OR reporting is involved at any step.
The only security is paper all the way--paper ballots and hand counting and paper transmission of precinct and state totals.
