I blame all those home remodeling shows, everyone's into hardwood pythons these days :(
Oh my goodness that's amazing to hear! I heard coastals get HUGE. What are you feeding her and how often? I can never find any solid info on what adults eat, I've heard everything from large rat to rabbit!
She gets one medium rat every 2 weeks, once she reaches larger it’ll be once a month, if u have no plans to breed they don’t have to get big :) they should never be big enough to eat rabbits even as Coastals though
So gorgeous!!! How long is he :) ?
Right around 5-6'
shes about 4 years old, Tiger Jag Coastal, has a bit of neuro but she calms down quick enough
That is the BEST news I've heard since we got ours. Carpets arent as popular as other snakes and its hard to find info from people who have adults! We fell in love with an adult IJ at a show and decided to get a baby, come to find out that it was actually a baby coastal and they get much larger! Definitely should have done LOTS more research so we have told the difference. But he's a cutie and I can't wait for him to grow!
Hi, I'm a bot for linking direct images of albums with only 1 image
I could look at pictures of carpets all day. My little guy is only about 7 months old. Love him to death
Definitely a cool combo, not a huge fan of neuro though just because she has her days
Yeah they dont get too ridiculous in size, people over exaggerate alot about the size of adult carpets, in the wild yes they can get 9 feet but generally in captivity they stay a lot smaller
We have a tiny baby coastal, and I LOVE seeing adults! I can't wait for ours to get that big.
She's really a beautiful mix!
I really really appreciate it! I'll join right now!
If you’re on Facebook there is a great group called “Carpet Python Discussion Board” or just search Morelia Paul on there and toss me a friend request :) I have a lot of carpets of every subspecies and have more than enough time to give advice etc
