Tom Emmer from Minnesota's 6th district
When the time you vote comes around, you wrute him a letter that says, "thank you for your time and wffort to be reelected, but ultimately, I don't care."
My congressman straight up said he won't tell me how he will vote until he votes.
what the shit is the point of his job by that point
My wife got one from ol Ted Cruz and was so pissed about it, she woke me up in the middle of the night to show me.
But then go back and check your spelling and grammar.
I emailed mine and told her to think about the thousands she has disappointed when she watches herself lose reelection
November 2018 get these assholes out, then they will listen
To fulfill the wishes of their donors. They don't give a shit about the country or its people.
no bc ultimately, they don't care
I got one from Mitch McConnell. Yeah he got over 100K to help convince him I was wrong.
Fuck that pizza faced douche
Let's take back our fucking freedom
No they wont. They'll at best put cresh drones in and continue to get the real people to keep fighting amongst ourselves. We need a revolution, a real one that will bring the people together to reallt fix this mess.
Post it everywhere you can. Show that he doesn't care for his voters.
Welcome to the Oligarchy.
Post it everywhere
you can Show that he doesn't
care for his voters

Add a comment to the repeal here (and here's an easier URL you can use thanks to John Oliver)
You can also use this to help you contact your house and congressional reps. It's easy to use and cuts down on the transaction costs with writing a letter to your reps
You can support groups like the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the ACLU and Free Press who are fighting to keep Net Neutrality:https://www.eff.org/ https://www.aclu.org/ https://www.freepress.net/ https://www.fightforthefuture.org/ https://www.publicknowledge.org/ https://www.demandprogress.org/
Also check this out, which was made by the EFF and is a low transaction cost tool for writing all your reps in one fell swoop.
Most importantly, VOTE. This should not be something that is so clearly split between the political parties as it affects all Americans, but unfortunately it is.
Also Jason Lewis
No, this is perfect. Imagine how crushing it is to lose your job because somebody who can't even write one sentence thinks you are incompetent.
looks like he's coated in 1 day old mayonaise.
Monopolies aren't good for the free market, unless I'm missing something.
Light a man a fire, he'll be warm for a night. Light a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
Sad thing is, it will have to be a handwritten letter cause access to emailing him will be too expensive with the new internet freedom.
You can add Ken Buck from Colorado to that list. Screw that guy.
the worse part was i got on put on his newsletter so he periodically updates me on how hes gonna screw me over
People keep talking but I don't see anyone doing anything. So yeah, I agree, someone else should have the revolution.
"Doesn't matter got paid."
I received mine from Bob Goodlatte. He kept trying to tie it to monopoly issues. I'd be happy with his upcoming retirement if I didn't think he'd be replaced with something worse.
John Cornyn and Ted Cruz both. I did my best to refute the BS they spewed, but I know it won't even be considered. I'll just be sure to volunteer to campaign for their opponents next year.
Definitely a haiku
At this point.... most likely nothing meaningful, unfortunately. Remember this when it comes time to vote.
What can we actually do at this point?
Who woulda thought the zodiac killer would look so weak and non-threatening.
I'd be with you if the market were actually free. It isn't. There are high barriers to entry, often exacerbated by local governments. They have to approve who can lay cable and all that. Net Neutrality is necessary until there's actual competition.
Seriously, don't forget. There's a reason they don't pull stunts like this during election season. They know their constituents will hate it, but they're counting on the fact that the whole thing will have blown over by the time it comes to vote. Don't let it.
Yes having corporations control the information we absorb is freedom /s
Beto O'Rourke is currently campaigning against Ted Cruz. He's a progressive Democrat from El Paso, Texas. I highly suggest you look him up!
No he doesnt. Hes just paid to say he does. Also, he doesnt know what it is. Also, he's not there to do what "he thinks". He's there to do what we say. Fucking government doesn't know what government is anymore.
It will just be two computers sending letters back and forth saying I don't care to infinity and beyond
This is a whole new version of extortion
He’s not Ted Cruz, so he’s already got my vote.
Add Ted Cruz, that scumbag. I explicitly called/emailed in support of NN and got a "thank you for supporting us" memo and a lifetime membership to Cruz News. He can get fucked.
I got that one too... I also yelled in frustration
I read that as “willfort”
You shouldn't commit suicide. You won't be around to vote these asshats out of office if you do.
The Redneck Oligarchy.
Oh god, that was the worst.
"Thank you expressing your opinion. However I am going to ignore it because I know better what's best for you. I'll just sell you all out for my own interests because bald eagle, America, tax cut, patriot, freedom, jobs. By the way I thought you might by interested in this weekly newsletter with photos of my beautiful face posing with random families along with detailed descriptions of how I've been screwing you lately. Please remember to donate and vote for me."
Also Dr. Michael Burgess in Texas' 26th.
MRW my congressman's secretary sends me a letter
None of your calls or letters are going to an actual congressman. I'll bet that the majority of congressman haven't personally read/heard a single complaint or opinion.
They don't give a shit about how you feel unless your opinion comes with a check for at least $10k.
A senator to actually do their fucking job and be for the people by the people
ISP's literally lobbied to make it as hard as possible for new ISPs to emerge
If you think Oligarchs aren't getting abortions and smoking blunts you've got another thing coming.
Better buy a gun it's gonna be ugly.
And also they don't fucking read your emails.
Watch out man, he automatically signs you up for his "Cruz News" newsletter if you send a message by email... At least that's what happened to me
I still very much agree with it, it's true as fuck. The revolution will not be something you can clock out for and not be active in, but the public isn't getting active. I literally explained he net neutrality issie tl my family and they just complained about it and the government for a minute and went back to watching TV.
And Arkansas “representatives”. Fucking dick faces.
Depends if you pronounce everywhere as ev-ry-where out ev-er-y-where. I personally pronounce it as three syllables.
My predictions show a strengthening of the republican majority in the Senate in 2018 based on current polling and the political leaning of various states. A shift to 58R-42D in the most extreme of circumstances, but I can't see a situation where the republican majority is compromised.
Too many democrat seats up relative to Republican seats, and too many of them aren't polling very well. Many strong R seats, lots of weak D seats.
**IMPORTANT: I don't lean in any particular political direction, I am not an expert on political discourse, nor am I even American. However, even with the turmoil that the presidency is almost constantly in, it is not adversely affecting the senate races as much as many of the left leaning redditors would like to believe.*
The D party is not in good shape after this last election. Neither is really, but the D side was rigged for HRC, that much is proven, and the people don't trust the party to ensure the proper process as they should.
You need to pull out a magical stick and hope red voters don't vote in the same force as they did in the 2016 election in PN, MI, and WI.
I mean 99% of Congress didn’t read it either...
Not everyone has the money for that. Or their work is in that state.
Or, for example, I’m a college student. I like the school I’m going to, and it’d just be more trouble than it’s worth to transfer schools for political reasons.
That's how they get ya.
What's his name? As others said you should out him online, maybe go to the press, don't let him off the hook.
Vote. Get every decent person you know to vote. Hell, give people rides to vote. Voting is the only real power we have.
The downside of living in a Republican dominant state
Don't just vote against him, get all your friends and everybody you k ow to vote against him. A lot of people still don't pay enough attention to politics to know just how badly people like him are screwing us over.
I am sure the telecom lobby also trained them on how to respond to the angry constituents.
Total power play. I love it.
Not sure why the fuck I clicked on it coz it made me more pissed.
Yeah, with handwritten letters they actually have to walk it over to the shredder.
What’s the difference between donating and bribing again?
His job is to represent his voters and their interests. You may think that means voting on how they feel about an issue, but you'd be wrong. If that were the case why even have representatives? Why not just have people vote on bills directly. It's because most people are too stupid to decide things like that and cannot be allowed to shape policy in such a direct fashion.
When you're a senator, you're supposed to represent the will of the people you represent.... not your own beliefs or those of the people who pay you to vote one way or another.
Where’d you get that straw, man?
So once in four years we can pick one of two options and just fucking hope that they will act as they've told us to act.
Same for Kevin Cramer of ND. He's lost my vote next year
An interesting twist on the "Blazing Saddles" hostage negotiations anyway.
Print a cheat sheet of people who want them repealed and spread it to the people during the election period. IIRC someone did that on a whole page of a newspaper and people were outraged.
In the paper, state a concise explanations of what net neutrality is and the implications of what would happen if it were to be repealed.
Rare image of
How is that legal? America is so fucking corrupt.
Cause the same people who elected Donald Trump would vote through some of the worst legislation imaginable
You get your mail in the middle of the night? Dedicated USPS!
You seem to be a very conflicted person.
That's interesting because it's a nothing answer. It's like saying "it's bad for the economy". It neglects to link cause and effect.
So really I don't see any reasons in that letter. Just words to make it seem like there are.
