Honeybee developing from egg to adult

The creation/development of life is trippy shit.

The pupae on the left got the varroa mite. That sux.

Does it kill the bee? From the gif it looks like it matured into an adult bee, but they could have just find different individuals...

They mature with the bee and feed off it's "blood". Once they have fed if it's a female it will go try to lay its eggs in another hatching cell. But yes they do tend to kill the bees and eventually the whole hive
