Of course Siri can't figure it out when I try on my iPhone lol
iPhones are great for a lot of reasons but Siri is utter dogshit when compared to google.
Voyboy has been repeatedly tested (Thanks Crazy Steve) for years during his career. It's been proven consistently time and time again, that he's one of the most mechanically gifted players in NA. He just lacks macro skill. Boy should have been a surgeon.
So it sounds like a lot of people have gotten banned in this game, and he got a lower score than the top score... how did the person that has the top score not get banned?
Neopets is terrible, terrible at moderating their site and always have been. I played from age 10 to age 21 until my account was broken into by a cookie grabber and emptied. The staff froze my account 3 days later because they noticed "suspicious activity."
So I emailed them. "Yeah, thanks guys, that suspicious activity was a guy stealing all my stuff I accumulated over 10 years. Can you give me my account back?" Emailed them consistently for a year and a half. I finally got a reply saying, "Sorry, it's been too long since you were frozen, we can't give the account back now."
What. The. Shit.
I'm still actually really salty and this was like 7 years ago.
Probably because his account looks suspect. He basically made an account and then this was the only game he played (I think).
People telling you to "expose them" and "release part two anyways" are mostly doing it for their own entertainment... I wouldn't do anything until you get a lawyer. I know you said you don't want to do it etc etc but it's lawyer time sir.
I just got a Cease and Desist letter from Brilliant Earth that basically says I am going to get sued (for libel and a host of other lawyerly nonsense) whether I take down this video or not. They didn’t counter a single one of my claims. Instead, they decided to just sic a GIANT law firm on me.
The crazy thing is I decided to totally shelve my plan to make a Part 2 to the video, now I want to release Part 2( which is 90% done). I’m asking Reddit’s advice on release or don’t release.
I run a startup(just me and a Cofounder) and we use Youtube to promote that startup. The Brilliant Earth exposé was never intended to get our startup any exposure. It was just a video I used as a learning experience to produce videos for the future. It was kind of like a hobby/learning project. I actually started researching Brilliant Earth BEFORE I even started my Startup. Brilliant Earth’s claims were so misleading and gross that I got kind of obsessed with it. The video literally took me 400+ hours to make over the course of over 2 years. Brilliant Earth, of course, is claiming I’m using the video as some sort of an advertisement--which is stupid. This video hasn’t yielded us any money. We’ve only been deluged by people asking to clarify details of the video. As far as time wasted vs exposure for our startup, this video was definitely a total disaster, but I’m still glad I got it out there.
About Brilliant Earth: They are the world’s largest jewelry website specializing in Conflict free diamonds. Their website gets over a million unique viewers monthly. They’ve made hundreds of millions of dollars by being lying douchebags.
After Part 1 launched: The Next Web called me and ended up doing this story that backed up all my claims: https://thenextweb.com/insider/2017/05/01/shady-online-diamond-dealer-proves-conflict-free-is-no-... I thought, well, The Next Web corroborated my story, so this whole thing is over. I’ll just get along with my life. As some Redditers(Ayy_2_Brute, nzarlo) correctly pointed out, I was being naive.
I got a cease and desist letter: This Cease and Desist letter is quite nasty and it’s coming from a GIANT law firm(Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP). Apparently, they are going to sue me for breaking a whole bunch of laws that I never broke.
The letter is also accusing me of running escort and weed selling businesses. I own literally hundreds of domains including “datebythehour.com” and “grasspackages.com”. I just thought those domains were good investments. Apparently, these snakes also sent the cease and desist letter to my parent’s house making those same claims. Why I thought a company that literally ran a scam site for a full decade would be civil about this, I don’t know.
The Evidence: I’ve tracked over a hundred diamonds and have video and audio footage proving Brilliant Earth is a scam. Instead of countering any of my claims, BE attached a single letter from a supplier claiming the diamond in the video was from Canada. Of course, that supplier provided zero proof of that claim.
To REDDITORS: The last thing I want to do is hire a lawyer. It’s just not something I can afford. Maybe someone in the Reddit community with legal expertise can give me some advice. I kind of want to get on with my life and release other videos (that aren’t exposés), but if Brilliant Earth really does plan on coming after me, I want to further expose their bullshit. This letter made me really angry, and I am definitely leaning towards moving forward with Part 2. What do you guys think?
I am doing my part by never buying a diamond. Ever.
"The last thing I want to do is hire a lawyer."
Amazon considered it last fall according to some of the articles I read so it's not like this was completely out of left field
Well this guy seems to be entirely correct in his guess, and was actually a very interesting and well thought out argument in video format. Then again, hindsight and all that... for everyone who guesses correctly, there's plenty of people who completely miss the mark, be it bets on mergers like this, upcoming products from major tech companies or politics.
Should be up top. NPR reported the same thing today.
I like the idea that Amazon just found this video 3 months ago and was like....he's probably right, we should totally do this
Wait, the bat logo on the spotlight is the modern one and the one that appears on the building is the old one.
Well I think it's a pitty that such things only ever get done when the "star" dies (in this case adam west). Talking about how happy he would have been...
Just imagine his reaction if that happened while he was still alive.
I noticed that. My guess is the one on the ground was a prop for the crowd and it was actually being projected from elsewhere. The angle seemed off as well - the projection seems to be from head on (although I suppose they could adjust for distortion)
Lighting designer here. The fixture on the ground is definitely a prop.
Magician here- this is my FAVORITE card trick period. I spent about 2 years practicing the method before I performed it once. And I'm talking hours per day... For 2 years... Just to make it passable.
This is a variation on Kostya's trademark trick. It's a variation on one of the oldest plots in card magic- originally created by the "father of modern card magic" Dai Vernon. The trick is called triumph originally and there are 100 ways to do it. They all center around a card is selected, it's returned to the deck, the deck is shuffled face up into face down and then BAM every card in the deck corrects itself and the selection is the only one now face down in a face up deck.
What's spectacular about Kostya's version here is that it is the ONLY version (that I'm aware of) that actually shuffles the cards face up into face down. Every other version (including the original), you pretend to shuffle them but dont really mix them. There are 100 methods to do so. And if they DO shuffle them together, they use a gimmicked deck.
That's what causes this crazy reaction from Penn. As soon as he says he will shuffle face up into face down, every magician knows the exact path this trick is going to take. And now he's looking for the "false shuffle or gimmicked cards". When Penn reacts like that, it's because by showing the backs of the cards AND the faces he knows it's not a gimmicked deck. And by letting the spectator complete the shuffle, he knows it's not a false shuffle.
Kostya goes out of his way to obliterate every method that every other variation of this trick uses. And that reaction is the very moment that Penn realizes that Kostya has disproved every method he was expecting Kostya to use. It's such a beautifully genuine reaction that is kind of hard to appreciate unless you know what's going on behind the scenes.
I hope someone found something interesting out of all that haha.
Edit: thanks so much for the gold! :)
thank you, that was a really interesting read!
There is also some backstory on this which Penn has told (on mobile and don't feel like checking for audio).
Penn and Teller do this trick and did it on the Today Show shortly before this episode. So Kostya knows they know this trick and he's still doing his version. When Kostya comes out, his reputation proceeds him so much that Teller tells Penn that they'll be fooled. When they find out Kostya's method, it's so amazing that Penn goes around telling people (not publicly, but other magicians) that he can't believe someone can do it so well.
It's a great trick and the method isn't necessarily complicated but doing it well enough to fool anyone, let alone two expert magicians close up, is fucking crazy. It's all extremely well done sleight of hand. After seeing this episode, I definitely spent some time checking videos of Kostya which I never do with anyone else in Fool Us.
No better feeling than "calling it" to a group of your friends. Lucky bastard has it on tape.
Check him for the sports almanac from BttF.
I love doing this while watching football games with my girlfriend. I'll call out super obvious penalties before the ref announces it, or predict what the next play is gonna be in obvious situations, and she thinks I'm a goddamn wizard. Either that, or more likely she knows what I'm doing and just lets me think that to stroke my ego. Yeah, it's probably that.
Step 1: get a sports almanac from the future. Step 2: spend your entire career working to become a color commentator for the mariners. Step 3: finally use almanac to predict a home run in a regular season game, just to blow your co-workers' minds.
Everyone tweet this video to @RedSox, lets get this kid going to a game and getting the star treatment. He deserves it.
Really appreciate the tag here. More than happy to send to our friends at the Red Sox to make something happen here. They're also great Redditors at u/redsoxofficial
This family has been through so much. Their house also just had to be torn down and they need to rebuild. All of that going on while their son was rejecting his heart transplant. Please help if you can https://www.youcaring.com/theschultzfamilymikeericaarilexieli-803900
Copeland lives in a mansion that some have said is “the size of a hotel.” He also has acquired a $20 million Cessna Citation private jet for flying around the country to spread the word. And of course, he owns an airport for landing said airplane.
Paula White (number 7 on that list) is our current president's personal minister. So no, they didn't get charged.
Looong tube full of demons
He just called regular people demons? What kind of nitwit takes these guys seriously?

Nothing like a little degradation to get the liquids going.
So I have been here! It is a place called Della Adventure in India. It is an "adventure park" that has things like zip lines, ATV rentals, those giant hamster balls, and all kinds of activities. Seems to be geared toward corporate team building stuff, which is what I was there for. They even rent dogs for guests to play with and walk...was kind of bizarre. This is not the only weird bathroom, and I can show you 2 more pics.
This is the sign outside of the ladies bathroom:
Here is the other weird bathroom in case you like pissing in front of mannequins: http://imgur.com/Nqd051B
Dammit India. You guys took it too far when we said you needed more toilets.
Well, if you're anything to go by it's not whatever gender you belong to, ya buzzkill.
