The painting is called "Judith Beheading Holofernes".
92 MP scan of the painting:
If you want another cool story, Artemesia Gentileschi painted the same scene, just with more gore and intensity. This is Caravaggio, who is obviously amazing, but I love the passion of , especially when you know her story. She was raped as a teen by her own painting teacher, was almost forced to marry him, and even then still considered a whore and “used goods” basically. She was pregnant with the child of the husband she was married off to when she painted this. Carravagio’s Judith looks dainty and removed, her’s looks strong and unfazed. She must have imagined herself in that position, being able to take out her rage on all men in her life which had done her wrong.
Not the most on topic, but I love art history and any excuse to share a cool story is something I’ll always take advantage of.
And he would have got away with it, if he didn't lose his head.
i like how it's structured so that we're slowly finding out the punchline by reading downwards
My head! I can't see without my head!

When you misspell "Dear Santa" to "Dear Satan"
This isn't actually a historical painting; it's by a modern artist named Omar Rayyan. This sort of magic realism is his typical style.
Anyone know the context here? Did the painter think his daughters dog was a little shit or something?
Yup, 9gag already hit it
Gotta show off that leg day progress!
