I am probably getting downvoted but
Can this sub get some rules? It's annoying seeing always the same low-effort shitpost asking for upvotes, apart from the fact that it can be used for free karma by political bots, which would make this sub somehow complicit of their misdeeds.
Trebuchets are the superior siege engine and all that, and that's true and I will never not say it or support a filthy catapult, but there are a thousand ways to make memes about them without resorting to always the same picture with the same caption. The Sir knight memes are funnier than the average post, even if they ask for upvotes which while still bad at least they are something diverse.
There are so many old and new games using trebuchets, movies and whatever else, and if someone tried making some OC this sub could really get to the front page every day, as it deserves. Sometimes I feel like prequelmemes made better use of trebuchets than trebuchetsmemes itself, just like they are now doing with eels.
They don't have to be strict rules or anything, like some subs that remove reposts bacause then no one could comment "General Reposti!" Lol, just enough to put the sub on the right track to actually become funny and not making people wanting to unsubscribe almost once a day. Getting it to the high ground. I bet people would also be more willing to participate and put effort in memes if it were to be rewarded accordingly. No one wants to spend time making OCs when a shitpost makes just as much if not more upvotes. At least, I know I wouldn't.
You are now free to launch me 300 meters away if you so wish. I hope you don't though, even if it would be privilege to be used as a projectile by a mighty Trebuchet.
Hey man, I respect this opinion, and I share it as well. Just never bothered to say. Take my upvote and go forth.
The Sir Knight memer is actually constructing his trebuchets lol
I will not leave you
Really? I thought he was taking pictures from the internet. I'm impressed!
I don't know what's so cute about something that'll f u up with a 90kg projectile from 300m away.
Post this on /sub/aww for that sweet karma
We live in a society
Or DO WE????
Vsauce, Michael here
Mate, this has six trebuchets in it.
Now there are 6 of them
We can’t have another one of these
This is getting out of hand.
That person looks really insecure from all the tbh's they're using. I suppose you should try being a lil' empathetic and caring. See how that goes. But if you're not the person who did this chat, then at least you know how little of I life I have from analysing such a trivial post.
Nice! I love it <3 We made a similar looking one in metal works at school. Got an A for it
No. Counterweight is only 450 grams and you need a 130:1 ratio for optimal distance.
Nice, but can it launch a 90kg projectile over 300 meters using it's counterweight?
Thats awesome :D
Just don't make me line up the shot
Username checks out
Don't you want your 90kg body to be flung 300 meters into the ocean?
The sea is my unmarked grave
“The pencil is mightier than the trebuchet”No One Ever
They never get outdated, they are forever the key to war.
These aren't any trebuchets , these are space trebuchets.
Isn't that good?
