Trump was in Trump Tower that day.
Trump Sr. seems to have been at that meeting since the Secret Service allowed those people in to it.
Did you know they can't prosecute the father and son for the same crime.
Exactly. They are so fucking stupid.
On an unrelated note (just hoping that people will see this and answer), where is the down vote button, and why is it gone?
He should get better at his job then.
The ABC/Washington Post Poll, even though almost 40% is not bad at this time, was just about the most inaccurate poll around election time! -President Turnip
40% is not bad at this time.
He didn't do the math.
Exactly. If he didn't suck so badly at his job, and have subordinates that were so poor at doing their jobs, and actually get something done that was good for America, then maybe his approval ratings wouldn't be so bad.
Pass the Republicare healthcare bill, Donald. See how beloved you are then.
"It's the FBI's fault for not stopping me from robbing all those banks!"
These people are the scum of the fucking earth. There is no punishment that they do not deserve. Hopefully Mueller hangs them all from the highest trees in Washington
So, Secret Service is due to testify, huh?
The USSS are heroes that risk their lives to serve their nation, and the Trump administration throws them under the fucking bus.
Republicans aren't patriots.
This is an excellent point. Trump would have had secret service protection at the time of the meeting, so some of them would likely know who he met with and when.
Thinking back, I also recall Trump didn't want / trust the secret service on his security detail. Seems like we might know why now...
EDIT 1: Trump did maintain parallel private security detail. Even if the secret service cannot be asked about this kind of information, I'm not sure the same would apply to private security.
EDIT 2: Unless the law has changed since 1998, it appears the secret service can be compelled to testify. http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1998/05/22/lewinsky.scandal/
A small Colorado town that voted for trump with over 75% of their vote. If the ACA is repealed, the only hospital in the town will be closing due to lack of funds.
Well they are getting exactly what they voted for so they should be out in the streets celebrating.
i work for a hospital/medical center in a rural northern california county that's red and it's just jaw dropping how many of my patients on medi-cal/care bang on their current "obama care plan". their coverage is exceptional really.
Trump voters about to get what they voted for...
Trump supporters selling this snake oil want you to believe a conversation like this went down:
“Hey, Lynch allowed that lawyer to stay in the country.”
“Okay, good. It’s October 2015. Let’s try and get this meeting set up with Fredo in June of next year.”
“Got it. When completed, how long do we wait to leak it to the press?”
“Why would we do that?”
“To damage the Trump campaign.”
“We don’t need to do that. Hillary is going to win easily.”
“So why are we doing it?”
“Well, based on the off-chance that Trump by some miracle, does win, we can release it down the road. It will play into the narrative Putin controlled the Trump campaign.”
“That’s a narrative?”
“It will be a year after this conversation takes place.”
“Okay, how about this? If Trump wins, we’ll release it July of 2017. It’s the middle of summer. Nobody is paying attention to politics. People are wrapping up their summer vacations. What do you think?”
“That’s perfect! They’ll never suspect anything!”
Is redstate.com mocking trump supporters now?
I think they're actual conservatives and that's why they don't support this clown show
They've been doing that and mocking Trump for awhile
Can't believe it's easier for a minority to go to jail for a little weed than it is for a president colluding/conspiricing/committing treason with a foreign adversary.
I hope that means Donald Jr and Kushner, at least
I see it as Flynn, Manafort and Kushner all guaranteed prison at this point. Flynn lied to the FBI, Manafort had that ledger and Kushner lied repeatedly on his security form.
It's a consequence of the US being a penal state.
The police and criminal justice system are mainly focused on keeping the masses under control, and to protect the elite. The elite have to do really, really bad stuff to become subject to criminal prosecution.
Of course, those who stated that they actually prefer the Republican plan don't know what is in either plan.
The majority of Republicans don't know what's in the Republican plan.
A large portion of them hate Obamacare signals the end of times, but they think the ACA is great.
I thought the bill had a 17% approval, this must be updated numbers. At 24%, it's not exactly a slam dunk, lol.
I think we as independents, democrats, leftitsts, and perhaps moderate republicans need to brace for the passage of this bill. There are 2 republican senators that have already stated they will not support it. If just 1 more chimes in then the bill is dead. If you are that 1 GOP senator, the national party would CRUCIFY you for being the deciding vote that stopped their repeal effort. Your political career would be in jeopardy. They will fight hard to try and get the bill dumped but if it comes to a vote, I don't see how the GOP don't get it through. It has ZERO to do with good policy, it is 100% political survival. They have been campaigning on repeal and replace for 7+ years, their best efforts are still horrible but they risk looking inept.
Republicans will pass this because they believe the alternative is worse for their political careers.
The greatest irony is that if Trump believes that breaking primary debate rules is illegal and equal to collusion with foreign governments, he too is guilty. Trump repeatedly broke GOP debate rules, consulting with his campaign manager during commercial breaks.
I had no idea this happened. Thanks for sharing this, OP.
Do any of these clowns know that projection is not a good defensive ploy?
Trump defended his son Donald “Don” Trump Jr., who released emails Tuesday that showed the Trump campaign took a meeting with multiple Russians after being told they had “very high level and sensitive information” on their opponent. The information was “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.” Trump’s argument now: It’s unfair that Don is being “scorned” by the media because Hillary Clinton may have violated the rules in a March 2016 Democratic debate.
Trump is a straight up loon. I hope Mueller is on the fast track with his investigation so we can get rid if this guy.
Also, saying "what about my opponent!?!" isn't a good look for a president nine months after the election.
I think it's projection mixed with nostalgia because all indactors point to Trump having loved running for president but hating being president.
The entire Republican party is based on ignoring reality....
They can make shit up because they know their voter base won't (or can't) read the studies themselves
“This narrative that sanctuary policies increase crime rates is one that has not been backed up by a single shred of evidence,” said Benjamin Gonzalez-O’Brien, one of the authors of the study and an assistant professor of political science at Highline College.
Let's repeat this fact one more time: there is no link between immigration and crime. It's just a talking point to demonize immigrants and justify racist policies. Republicans don't want to admit their own bigotry, and that's why they hide their prejudices behind phony "law and order" arguments.
And the obvious reason why sanctuary cities do not see an increase in crime is because the immigrant communities are better integrated and work with the police to catch criminals.
In cities that actively check for immigration status, the immigrant communities become isolated and resist the police. As a result, crime increases.
every moment he's watching fox news or golf he isn't actively destroying democracy so there's an upside
I'd like to add: him escaping to Paris most of the week too.
Remember: this is during the most critical phase of a key deliverable by the Republicans - the "repeal and replace Obamacare". Also, it should be the period of high focus on the budget.
All other Presidents have been elbow-deep in work during such key processes, lobbying and explaining and striking deals. Instead everyone - Trump, McConnell, Ryan, the Cabinet - seem to think it's a good thing Trump leaves Washington.
They are all making it exceedingly clear that Trump is President in name only.
He is the first fake president we have ever had. Hell, I think even during the phase when Reagan was deeply affected by Alzheimers he was more of a real president than Trump ever has been or will be.
Maybe he resigned and forgot to tell anyone. He certainly seems to be retired...
Agreed. Nancy's astrologer was a better leader than this orange anus.
