South Korea Tells Trump It's Actually Never Been a Part of China

Man, if only there was some department in the government that he could use as a resource to stop these embarrassing gaffes.

Donald: "That's what Xi said."

Who knew history could be so complicated?

South Korea’s government wants to know whether Chinese President Xi Jinping gave alternative facts on the nation’s history to Donald Trump.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal last week, Trump said Xi told him during a recent summit that “Korea actually used to be a part of China.” The comments sparked outrage in Seoul and became an issue in South Korea’s presidential race, prompting the foreign ministry to seek to verify what Xi actually said.

“It’s a clear fact acknowledged by the international community that, for thousands of years in history, Korea has never been part of China,” foreign ministry spokesman Cho June-hyuck said at a briefing in Seoul on Thursday.

There you GO NYT! That's the shit we wanna see from you! Now it's wapos turn with the counter punch.

And that trip just happens to be mentioned in the dossier. Sounds more and more like that document might have a whole lot of truth behind it.

Page admits meeting with Rosneft representatives in this video, he denies meetings in all his interviews after the dossier came out. This video still isn't viral, people should watch and share this:

Lol. This little bumbling dork is gonna bring the whole administration crashing down. Even the Russian spies recruiting him thought he was a complete dolt.

White House sidewalk to be closed to public permanently

Trump is a coward.

Why worry about the public getting on to the White House grounds unnoticed, when members of Congress can get in and out in a cloak and dagger operation.

Man of the people, putting up more and more barriers.

Couldn't have said it better myself. He's right up there with all the Republicans who refuse to hold town halls because they're scared the "liberals will turn violent."

There is no doubt Trump took Russian cash in the last several years for his business. This is why we need to see his most recent tax returns, not the one from 2005. But Trump will never show his most recent tax returns.

money the GOP rejected

I know each of these words but my brain just can't put them together

Trump’s inauguration committee received $106 million in total—eclipsing the $53 million president Obama raised for his inauguration in 2009.

Double the money for ~1/3 of the crowd size. Any data on how the money was spent?

Widely-Opposed Pipeline 'Confirms Worst Fears' After Two Spills Into Ohio Wetlands

Widely-Opposed Pipeline 'Confirms Worst Fears' After Two Spills Into Ohio Wetlands

The Ohio EPA document confirms that pollutants, including bentonite, were released in two separate spill incidents. The fluids "impacted water quality," though the extent of the health hazard is not clear. Rover Pipeline LLC was ordered to stop the spill immediately, establish "containment points," remove the pollutants from the area's surface water and just generally "follow procedures."

That last part will apparently be tricky for the company, which has already demolished a house in Leesville that was being considered for the National Register of Historic Places and tripped over itself trying to cut down 3,000 trees in just a few weeks to meet a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services deadline.

From clevelandscene.com

Hi - environmental toxicologist and wetland scientist here. I would agree that bentonite is relatively harmless, just an aluminosilicate (I.e. One of the most abundant minerals on earth). However, dosing 2,000,000 gallons of any chemical will shock the biogeochemical cycles of any aquatic system, particularly wetlands since they have slow water retention times. Also, SDS is not definite - it is based off research, of which none has been done investigating the impacts of bentonite on massive environmental exposures. SDS is an advisory or guideline for human use, not a regulatory guideline for the EPA.

Maga?

I'm not sure you appreciate the risks that bentonite represents to a wetland -- bentonite forms a self-sealing, low permeability barrier. if widely dispersed, it can cause great harm to much of the wetland.

Dem: Kushner may have committed ‘indictable’ offense

Berry said if Kushner were a “regular person” and made the same omissions, “it’s very likely” he would have been “charged with lack of candor for non-disclosures, in which case … you ultimately fail to get the clearance, and it would stop the processing, especially if we’re dealing with high-level foreign officials.”

Luckily for Jared, he's not a regular person. He's the prince of the USA.

This is what's so bullshit.

We've always tried to be a nation that declares "No matter who you are, you aren't above the law." This administration and most Republicans now proudly proclaim this is not the case. The law only applies to those not in power. Unless Democrats are in power. And then the law doesn't apply to Republicans, only Democrats.

What makes me sooo angry about this is during the election my father was one of those "if i did what hillary did, I would be in jail" people.

I asked him about this, and what he thought. He essentially said it was ok because Kushner wasnt president. I wonder how many other people thought much less of their fathers after these elections.

Our laws no longer mean anything. Thanks, Republicans.

Elizabeth Warren: 'My biggest regret is that Donald Trump is president of the United States, period'

Mine too.

This is how most of us should feel. Our President is a reality TV host, who has never worked a job that would give him experience for the office. He speaks at a Elementary schoolers level. Has a long history of fucking people over and alleged sexual assaults.

IMO he is tarnishing the title.

Just an interesting observation: take a look at the "comment graveyard". Usually you'll have one or two off color comments in a thread like this.

Today it's different.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Warren is immediately to be the target of a campaign to smear her prior to 2020. Just keep that in mind as we go forward. There will be a great deal of concern-trolling and outright flaming in otherwise civilized threads. It's nothing more than an attempt by the opposition to build public distrust of Warren.

Yeah, we're all right there with you, Elizabeth.

Exxon asks Trump administration for waiver from Russia sanctions

Oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. is seeking a waiver from the Trump administration to work with Russia’s state oil company on a joint venture, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the Journal reports that Exxon asked the Treasury Department in recent months to drill for oil alongside Rosneft.

Isn't this pretty much the cornerstone of the Steele Dossier?

Why yes it is. Strange.

Funny how more and more of that totally made up and fake dossier is coming out as accurate.

huh.

Now this is genuine financial corruption with more than circumstantial evidence if this actually happens. Exxon gave our Secretary of State a $180,000,000 severance package. I wonder if he's going to do their bidding. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Sean Spicer can’t name a single legislative accomplishment for Trump’s first 100 days

It's not a fair question! Democrats control a minority in Congress. Nobody could accomplish anything under these under conditions, folks. It's just impossible.

There’s a lot of executive orders that I think the president’s been pleased with, not only what they’ve done or what they will do, but what they’ve done.

JFC

Nobody knew legislating could be so complicated!

Right. Obama had a Dem minority in Senate and couldn't get anything done and the libs complained! Now they expect Trump to do it!! /s

Exxon Seeks U.S. Waiver to Work in Russia Despite Sanctions

This administration is riddled with conflicts of interest. Approving this deal will be horrible optics. They're gonna do it.

This is straight from the dossier. We heard just yesterday that much of it has likely been confirmed. This is their payment for services rendered.

Exxon Mobil Corp. has applied to the Treasury Department for a waiver from U.S. sanctions on Russia in a bid to resume its joint venture with state oil giant PAO Rosneft, according to people familiar with the matter.

Oh, Rosneft again. This all lines up if you follow the money outlined in the Steele dossier.

Edit: Oh yeah, this too. Trump stands to benefit from this.

According to Trump’s May disclosure, he owned between $50,000 and $100,000 in oil-services giants Halliburton and ExxonMobil, and between $500,000 and $1 million invested in Occidental Petroleum, one of Texas’s biggest oil producers.

And that's just what he's telling us. Strange that he only has $50k-$100k invested in Exxon, yet $500k-$1 milllion in another oil company. Fishy.

I wonder, if this goes through, if it is what the FBI is waiting for. Putin demands payment.
