Its actually really cool to think that a pixel I made is being hung on someone's wall right now
I helped maintain some of the pixels in Iceland's flag.
That sounds so weird to say but maybe some of them are still there.
Someone bought my art kinda :')
There was a page where you could enter your user name and find out which of your pixels survived.
awesome work by Reddit. So they knew from the start that bots would come and invade?
We didn't know exactly what would happen, but wanted to give people freedom to write bots and extensions.
I honestly can't wait to see what they do for next year, It'll be a big order to fill to entertain us redditors like /sub/place did. Thanks to everyone who made it happen, It's cool to say i was apart of it.
I feel like it would have been much better if people couldn't have made bots (having fought them a lot...), but I guess it was your choice.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
This took me too long
It's treason then.
I wonder how much money your phone will be worth someday...
He should have used the Google pixel
Haha, get it? Because we placed pixels
/sub/place was the best ad campaign for the reddit app.
Give me your address.
Edit: (very, very low effort posts are the best.... reddit, i will never understand you)
If you don't wait ten minutes between each puzzle piece (and then five minutes when appropriate), then that puzzle was for nothing.
Also you should have your SO/roommate/family members/pet randomly remove finished puzzle pieces and hide them with your unused pieces when you're away!
This is where the fun begins
For anyone wondering, I used VenusPuzzles. Just use whichever picture you liked best, the 1500 piece seemed to fit the best. Be warned, it is not easy, my whole apartment is working on it and we are <50% done.
I noticed you're missing the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. Understandable, it's not a story the Jedi would tell you
It's treason then
That's awesome, where can I get one?
man, and doing in a normal world, instead of Superflat. that takes dedication.
I know, I probably should have thought about that...
That's easy, just start over again.
Have fun writing out the entire tragedy of Darth Plagieus the Wise
Now put it in a video with the Game of Thrones theme.
I'd love to see the full 72hr timelapse video of this from the angle at the end of the gif.
Hi, not OP in this post, but I made this animation. Please let me know if Reddit releases the necessary data from the creation /sub/place, and I'll see what I can do. Afaik there aren't any user-made time lapses available that covers the entire making of /sub/place.
Impressive - but also this made me curious - the void appeared to leave some things untouched - or is it just that so many users/bots were working to protect those things (rainbow road, SNEK, scoreboard, POLSKA, and so forth)?
Towards the end when I poked my head into the void subreddit they were saying things like "go where there's the least resistance". They were feeling pretty hard-pressed so I think they left those who resisted alone.
Interesting that they didn't go for france
Besides, it says no step on snek. Who in their right minds would step on the snek? Not the void.
"Hey man, that's a unique phone case, what is it?"
"It's this.....it's like this place where.....this website that.....everybody did one.....it's from comic books."
Me trying to explain what am i watching to my parents
Blue corner will not be happy.
Stop watching tentacle porn in front of your parents.
