After reading through all the posts in /sub/nfl, I came to see how the sub was doing and this is what I imagined.
We’re probably waiting to see the numbers on Norwell’s and Star’s deals to see what kind of comp picks we will get next year...then, based upon that we’d negotiate. So expect us to start talking soon but don’t expect big names.
Same shit, different off season.
It's just what we do.
Buffalina Billthers or Carolino Panthills?
Let’s just combine rosters and form one team
I'm partial to Carolino Panthills myself.
As dumb and petty as it is, I am really happy that Gettleman didn't get him.
was bound to happen, happy he went to afc and to some 1995 catbros
We all knew this was coming, but it’s still sad to see him go. UDFA to highest paid guard, pretty cool stuff. Best of luck, Andrew.
He deserves every penny, but that contract would have killed us. Tough, but we go on.
I spent way too much lol. But like 100 bucks with everything. I adddd a few extras like rubber grips
We need ones for the PS4.
How much are these? And is that the only color combo?
When you get a chance to trade your 23-year-old starting cornerback for an aging wide out who relies on speed and put up a whopping 430 yards with 2 TDs last year, you've gotta pull the trigger.
Making room for Sherm?
I don’t know how to feel about this... Worley was young and inconsistent but he had his moments. Idk
That's what I was thinking. No way we do this with NO plan at CB.
TD is a better recruiter than most of the people in our front office. He randomly ran into Pep during the offseason in FL last year and face timed Luke with Pep and tried to peer pressure Pep into coming back since he was an FA. It worked.
Also, having Sherm on our squad and Stew on the Hawks when we play this coming season would be a heck of a story in our budding little rivalry with the Seahawks.
I'm down, for a good price. Good mentor for the young CBs and has that swag I feel our secondary has been missing
Go get the Honey Badger too. Turn our secondary from a glaring weakness to an strength.
This. I hope TD is just going around to free agents and saying “this is my last year. Idgaf. Be my teammate and let’s go win this thing”
His deal averages out to 4.25 annually, about $700k less than if he had been tagged. He becomes effectively the 2nd highest salaried kicker in the league, after Gostkowski.
Would rather have Butker at 4 years 2.4 million..... Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
Hoping it's under $16 mil at 4 years, but more likely it's for 17-18. Worth it though. He was up there with Justin Tucker for best kicker in the league last year.
Hopefully we let him try 50+ yarders more now that we've seem him connect from 58 in a game.
I feel like he has gas in the tank. I hope he retires a panther regardless of if he plays for another team until the end of his career.
You both shut your mouths.
im glad we ended this alot better than dwill
God, I'm crying. I hate this part of football.
I lived for Stewart stiff arms, namely, the one on Ronde Barber.
You just know every time Ronda has to do one of our broadcasts, he has flashbacks to being forced to eat turf. Maybe that's why he's so insufferable as an announcer
Every time he sees black and blue he’s transported to that moment, where JStew drove him into the Earth, never to return.
Gettleman would have have texted Stew saying, "You've been cut, lol, come in after the combine to pick up your shit"
Not crazy news, but earning respect from Hurney.
I am liking Hurney 2.0
I don't see Gettleman as a texter. I can't see him on iMessage typing out "Hey J-Stew, it's been real, but we have to do the best thing for our ability to get some hog mollies. Sorry."
