Boogie: "Basketball is leaking out, playing 1 on 1 now is more about selling calls and flopping" when asked about controlling emotions in the game.

When you play soccer as a kid in a respected club, they surely teach you how to dive/flop. Is basketball in the US the same ? Do coaches teach how to flop/"get free throws" ?

EDIT: full quote thanks to u/Kumar: "Spirit of competitive basketball is leaking out, playing 1 on 1 now is more about selling calls and flopping".

If he's complaining about others flopping he might need to be a bit introspective. If he's just complaining about how flopping is optimal now, he's not wrong

He learned to develop that after not getting whistles early in his career. I think that's sort of his point. The game is called according to acting, so you better learn how to sell the foul.

After watching him so much now, if he doesn't sell a foul, he won't get the call. He earned a bad rep with the refs over the years. It's more selling than flopping in his case.

He's right. It's quite ironic coming from him, but he's right.

Andre Drummond dominated tonight with 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 6 assists in a loss.

Andre Drummond dominated tonight with 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 6 assists in a loss.

The big man now has 17 double-doubles in 23 games, putting Drummond on pace for the second season in his career with 60 or more double-doubles. His improved free-throw shooting remains the most impressive aspect of his campaign, though -- Monday's performance was the first time in five games he shot 50 percent or below from the charity stripe, and his 64.0 percent mark on the season is more than 20 points better than his previous best.

And then you look at the rest of the box scores and see boogie's numbers lol

Milwaukee had NOTHING for Andre in the paint lol.. he was running wild and free.

If you play fantasy basketball or DFS always look at big men who are facing the Bucks

We have two sticks as Centers so any center with some strength just wreak havoc on us inside.

Didn't look at them until i read your comment, literally just laughed at his stat line

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) - 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks

Khris Middleton (MIL) - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists on 7-10 FG

Andre Drummond (DET) - 27 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists on 12-15 FG

Middleton low-key balling out

Vaughn had a great game. Kidd will probably dnp him for the next couple weeks as is tradition.

With Curry out its KDs time to prove to everyone that he can carry a team by himself, if you leave out the first 9 years of his career

Yes he carried himself too

uh shit

man whatever your boy KD still sucks

yo he shot 3/10 from the three what a bitch

sweats nervously

He carried the 2014 team with Westbrook out, yes. Ibaka averaged 13 ppg on 56 TS% from 2011-2016. Are we going to act like he was some great offensive player? Harden was never an all star level player in OKC and he played 3 seasons. Westbrook has shown what he's capable of without Durant, OKC's offense is in shambles even after adding Paul George and Melo.

From 2011-2016 with Durant, OKC was the #1 overall offense in the NBA. After having the #2 offense in 2012, they traded Harden and somehow improved to the #1 offense in 2013. That was with 2 complete offensive liabilities starting at SG & C in Sefalosha/Perkins.

Scott Brooks couldn't coach offense, yet OKC offense ranked #3 in 2011, #2 in 2012, #1 in 2013, and #6 in 2014 despite Westbrook missing 1/2 the season.

Apparently Billy Donovan can't coach offense either, yet OKC was the #2 offense in the NBA in his 1st season and ranked #25 all time in ORTG. We going to credit Ibaka for that given his 12.6 ppg on 53.3 TS%?

There have been two 40/20 games this season. Demarcus Cousins has both of them.

There have been two 40/20 games this season. Demarcus Cousins has both of them.

The first 40/20 game this season happened on October 10th 26th, when Cousins put up 41/23/6 against the Kings in a win

The second 40/20 game this season happened today, when Cousins put up 40/22/4 against the Nuggets in a win

There have been six 40/20 games over the last six seasons. DMC and AD have 5 of them.

best center in the league tbh

Nope. KAT. Howard has gone 36/26 though

I use people's evaluation of Draymond on reddit to determine if they actually understand NBA basketball

https://www.reddit.com/sub/nba/comments/7f4o25/where_would_you_rank_draymond/dq9gnuh/

Just a reminder that these dumb people got upvotes

On the lower end of that as well (20-35th best player in the league). he is a project of his environment purely because of his team. Image if he was on the heat? would you know who he is?

These are some great highlights that displays what Draymond brings to the team.

Yep. I literally tag people based on some opinions.

Anytime i see somebody say something like

"Draymond on any other team would be average. He cant create his own shot"

Like 1on1 isolation scoring is the only fucking thing that matters in basketball

Boogie is so damn good. People still sleep on him when he could be argued as a top 10 player

He had "his own team" for 7 years and look where that got him

Went to the line 21 times. Fouled Plumlee out of the game and put 5 fouls on Faried. When he gets the ball on the perimeter and has his guy closing out on him, he's just impossible to deal with.

I think there is a significant difference between him picking a suitable and stable franchise where he can be the clear #1 option, and the Kings.

Bonus: Boogie with 40/22!

According to BBref only 40/22 game since 63 besides boogies other game against the kings. Jesus. How the fuck do you have 2 40/22 games in a season? My god
