In an effort to bring financial stability in 2018, H2K has significantly reduced its operating budget to approximately €1 million by reducing player salaries and making other meaningful overhead reductions. With some luck, this should enable H2K to sustain a modest loss or perhaps even breakeven. In doing so, H2K will also satisfy RIOT’s franchising criterion requiring teams to demonstrate financial discipline and stability. H2K has appropriately responded to RIOT’s messaging that teams who incur significant year over year losses, even if those losses are willingly funded by VC’s and other investor’s, won’t be considered financially stable.
The most interesting take-away from this. Riot specifically pointed this out, most likely due to IMT.
I also wanna note that UoL for example managed to break-even in the past by keeping their costs low (around 1 million in expenses as well), so this shouldn't be considered a genius move by H2k - it just shows that their spending must've been pretty reckless in the past.
I think it’s pretty funny that H2K seems to think slashing their budget massively after threatening to leave will put them in a good position once franchising comes around. I imagine that EU will end up losing a pretty large amount of teams due to lack of financials, imo in their current state I think only Fnatic, G2, Misfits, and maybe Splyce and Shalke could even hope to make it in
There's no way H2k will make into the franchise. if even 50% of the current teams remains in EU LCS 2019 it would probably be due to a massive failure by Riot in attracting football teams. and everyone should remember that football orgs can use their own brand in EU just like Schalke and unlike NBA teams, so they won't be interested in buying the current EU LCS orgs.
That whole letter reads pretty passive aggressive, just like every other H2K release. I don't see a world where they're included in a franchise model, their strange ass attempts at manipulating public opinion seem to overshadow any value they bring to the table.
"This guy is insane. He has a wife, and he is the best jungler in the world" LOL
When everyone is wearing their All-Stars Uniform and you're wearing your SKT Uniform. lmao
Ambition always looks like he could kill somebody on the spot lol
Jankos laugh was so weird lol
Nice to see another AFL team joining the Esports scene. I can see doping memes being part of the OPL twitch chat now though
This is where drug-testing becomes mandatory within LoL
Pretty excited to see my football club enter the realm of esports. Anyone know much about the team Abyss?
Up the fucking Dons
Just hope they do #whateverittakes to get the W.
Champion mastery level 7 in a nutshell
yasuo: 2/12/1 120cs @25 minutes
“omg I afk u never knock up lol”
“but u last picked yasuo into a comp that has no synergy with your champ”
“stfu u fuckin noob im level 7 yas I know what I’m saying”
ah yes. i too dislike when someone on my team picks yasuo and performs below average hehe those damn yasuo players
Every time I get this Yasuo the only thought in my head is "This guy played against players worse than him to get that mastery, I'm happy I wasn't in that game" and it makes me feel better.
2.1. How can my account be suspended or terminated? (If you break the rules, Demacian Justice will be visited upon your account!)
8.2. Will the Riot Services stay the same? (No. Like Kha’zix, they will evolve.)
9.2. What about links in the Riot Services? Are those Safe? (Like Bard’s magical journeys, you might find something dangerous waiting for you on the other side. Proceed with caution….)
16.1. What can I do if I have questions about the Game or this Agreement? (Until the day we can establish a Yordle call center, you can email us.)
16.9. If part of this Agreement is invalidated, what happens to the rest? (Like Zac, this Agreement might lose a part or two, but what’s left lives on.)
16.10. Are these silly headings legally binding? (No. These headings are just our lawyers’ way of trying to be engaging and funny. Other lawyers find these headings to be appropriately engaging and funny.)
Yo I’m so hyped for this yordle call center thing.
"Hello Support, I cannot log in!" "Well that sounds purple! Did you try it with your eyes closed?"
“Would you quit bitching for one minute?”-kled
Like Bard’s magical journeys, you might find something dangerous waiting for you on the other side. Proceed with caution…
Entering an enemy Bard tunnel is becoming an unwritten rule akin to chasing a Singed
[100 Thieves Owner] Nadeshot Explains How To Use TP Correctly.
Well, hes correct.
I mean back in season 2 I used to flash on my way to lane to get back faster. So I can’t really blame him
The stream was hilarious I love watching new people learn the game it's great.
Oh yeah! But it's easily fixed if you play like REAL LCS players do. Buy a pink and put it in the fountain. Then you can easily teleport there and save some gaming time! No need to thank, you're welcome!
[100 Thieves] Owner Nadeshot Learns about Press D to Dance (ft. Prolly)
Edit: Youtube Mirror
Watching Nadeshot just starting to play is so refreshing.
The amount of times I have accidentally used a summoner spell from thinking I was typing and not realizing I didn’t press ‘enter’ first is fucking crazy. It hurts just as bad every time too
It's hilarious because I think we can all relate to it as we were like this at one point
i once pressed R to reload, on jhin..

Rip ghosting teemo
Trick's greenscreen is the best thing that ever happened to league streams.
These guys are good. Now we know why Erry didn't go to scouting grounds.
Glad to see some pickups from the University teams, hopefully this opens up the minds of some colleges to supporting esports further.
Woo! Canadians taking over.
I guess thats why FQ sold their first pick in their draft, because they already have a good academy roster
Good video by Thorin, good response/statement from Blitz. Lets wrap it up, boys.
You can join the #NotMyAllstar movement.
what do i do with my pitchfork now?
Thoorin made a video mentioning how Riot was an early investor in Blitz when it first was created (and before it published articles). He said while there is zero influence or bias seen from the connections, that it should still be made public just due to the conflict of interest. This is Blitz just confirming that what Thoorin said and reassuring that Riot has no influence on them.
