Seohyun (SNSD) performed as South Korean representative together with the North Korean Orchestra

Years of diplomat and future president memes and now this happens lmao. This is why the members call her the pride and future of SNSD :)

And here she is meeting president Moon Jae In and sitting 3 rows behind the president and Kim Jong Un's sister in the presidential box.

I don't have an actual translation for the news clip but I thought a video would be better than just a picture or a text post. Mods let me know if I should submit it some other way.

I knew Yeri and Taeyeon were close but not Yeri often sleeping over at her house and ordering takeout close.

And her mission to get close with IU also greatly exceeded expectations. It was only about a month ago she got her breakthrough with IU's manager being a big RV fan and IU approaching them for a picture because of this. But now you have Yeri calling her Jieun unnie and saying she helps her a lot with writing and composition. Her sociability is insane!

Yeri even sleeps over at Taeyeons house now, truly the #1 successful SONE

Shoutout to Jennie for doing what the other girls couldn't and approaching Irene to befriend her. Their interactions during the end of year shows were very cute.

Wendy also revealed that she’s been keeping in touch with gugudan’s Kim Sejeong.

Gods befriending Gods, it's truly divine.

Hong Jinyoung (홍진영) - GOOD BYE (잘가라)

Hong Jinyoung (홍진영) - GOOD BYE (잘가라)

I dont know which I enjoy more, the song, or the fact that she probably went home and streamed PUBG after recording it.

Queen of Trot is the best!

Love it! She never disappoints!

The MV is really cute and funny. Her visual is no joke. The song really suits Jinyoung and is really catchy too

Ahhhh... I love everything about this comeback! This song is super catchy, her visuals are everything and the MV is hilarious and adorable.

I translated the lyrics here: https://instagram.com/p/Be4_JX0F5XM/. I find it entertaining how the lyrics of the song are in direct contrast with the MV storyline.

Holland talks about being K-pop's first openly gay idol

Holland talks about being K-pop's first openly gay idol

I hate to be that guy, but is he really an idol? He seems like he's just a musician in Korea that makes somewhat mainstream sounding music. By that logic, you can technically argue that Sik-K is an idol too.

Also, does anyone else remember the MRSHLL guy that was "the first openly gay k-pop star"? u kno the guy that can actually sing well Was he not called an idol because he didn't have the 2-Block Bowl Cut Idol ID?

I hate to be that guy, but is he really an idol?

Depends on the definition, wiki says an idol is a kpop singer signed under a mainstream agency. One site says Holland is signed under "Holland Entertainment", so it sounds like he is an independent singer.

This could raise the question whether the definition of idol can be expanded and not just be exclusive to mainstream agency artists, but more a term for artists people recognise as kpop representatives.

It's important to have people like him speak up in an industry and culture where it's standard to stay silent about topics like this. There's many people and kids that struggle with their feelings and growing up thinking they are wrong and disgusting, which just sends them in a downward spiral of self hate and confusion. We need visibility to help them feel okay with who they are, and for the general public to learn more about these topics. It would be lovely to live in a world where sexuality didn't matter and we could indeed just enjoy artists without an innocent male on male kiss automatically getting R-rated, but we are far from there yet and until then having a person like Holland speaking up unapologetically and truthfully about his sexuality is very important.

In the video when he was asked about future plans/releases he seemed to imply he's looking to be signed to a company first. I think he's definitely deliberately marketing himself as an idol. eta: Apparently (I don't have receipts for this though) he used to be a trainee in an agency previously.

CoCoSoRi - Mi Amor

CoCoSoRi - Mi Amor

I really like the song and I hope they'll get more attention after the k-drama and mix9

A light, dancehall inspired ballad featuring CocoSori fantasizing about stalking a random guy. It's sweet but I miss the eye laser firing cats, although there was a reference to their first song on Coco's phone case.

Of course because they were sharing a collective dream (what is this, Inception?), the girls inadvertently end up kissing in the end (which I ship more than the girls with this dude).

This MV also doesn't show off the nice dance skills Sori demonstrated on MixNine either. I mean the song is okay but saccharine coffee shop ballads are a dime a dozen in K-pop.

They threw away their concept. Song sounds like it could be from literally anyone.

It's cute and I like the song a lot even if it's kind of basic, I just wished they showed some of the dance in the mv. ALSO THAT KISS THO

HOBGOBLIN??? HOBGOBLIN??? OH MY GOD SHE DEAD

Vampire concept confirmed then! Just as the members have been hinting. Hopefully a brattier counterpart to Volume Up?

Looks like a girl crush concept again 🤔

Well they certainly won't do a cute concept after posting eunbin's pole dance imo.

Weki Meki - Lucky (Teaser Image #1)

Weki Meki - Lucky (Teaser Image #1)

My blonde baby!! <3

They all look so damn good holy shit!

Lucy just looks so wow

Lua with pink hair? :o

Hope it's a sequel to "IDLYG", with them telling the boy that he should feel lucky to have them as his friend.

Weki Meki - Lucky (Release Schedule)

Weki Meki - Lucky (Release Schedule)

If I were Fantagio boss I'd call it Weki Meki - Licky just to continue the rhyme

Licky Licky my super Licky Licky Licky

c'mon, if we are talking about Fantagio girl groups, the title should be "Licky Licky" in order to follow the tradition. ;)

Really hope this does well, they have so much potential. Honestly can see them becoming my favorite group in the future.

Hyolyn - 내일할래 (To Do List)

Hyolyn - 내일할래 (To Do List)

This is gorgeous, her voice is perfectly complemented by the stripped down instrumental.

I love it, her voice is just so good! The MV is nice as well, she looks gorgeous.

She's the best.

YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! SERVE US THOSE VOCALS!

gugudan - The Boots (Acapella Remix) (Dingo Vertical Live)

gugudan - The Boots (Acapella Remix) (Dingo Vertical Live)

OMG is it Soyee that does the whistling in the studio version too? Idk why but it sort of makes me happier knowing/believing if she did since she only has one part in the song ;-;

And honestly wouldn’t mind if acapella teasers/remixes became a thing for Gugudan comebacks in the future; they’re seriously so good <3

See, I wish they'd do more of their harmonizing on their actual tracks like this. They're good at it, and they have a lot of singers in the group that need more to do other than wait their turn after Sejeong.

Amazing. Their vocal line (which appears to be half the group) really is one of the best right now. But I wish they kept going with the acapella throughout the whole song, rather than limiting it to one verse.

i legit can't choose which acapella version i love more: remix or waltz???
