[Gaming] Steam 'review-bombing' hot takes - the clique bloggers are quick to express their anger at consumers having a voice against dirty devs

Their contempt for the consumer and stanning for their industry buddies could not be any more apparent.
A few of these make the point about how it's wrong for reviews to be negatively affected by the devs' comments outside of the game. Yet I'm pretty sure that most of these blogs have run articles about how it's impossible to separate art from artist in response to outrage over a dev's political views before...
Radicals do hate to be held by their own standards and rules. They're playing stupid games, winning stupid prizes.
I have no sympathy for them.

[Censorship] Spain is probably going to aprove an insane law that gives lgbt groups power to censor and revert burden of proof
I've already talk before about how insane the gender laws in Spain are http://kukuruyo.com/2016/02/17/spain-gender-laws-a-country-against-men/
Now the "sjw" party (Podemos) has proposed a new insane law for "lgbt" that will most likelly be passed, because most parties are either voting in favor or not voting, including the right wing. The entire law can be found here http://www.congreso.es/public_oficiales/L12/CONG/BOCG/B/BOCG-12-B-122-1.PDF
Since it's a pdf you probably can't use google translate, but i haven't found a place where they transcript the entire thing. Here you have a couple of newspapers that talk about it in case you want to google translate:
I'll lay out some of the stuff in it so you can see how crazy this is.
The law creates a parallel justice system that will be controlled by LGBT groups and will not have to respond to normal tribunals. In fact, they can continue a process and fine people even if a normal tribunal deems that you're innocent.
This new system will reverse the burden of proof; if you're accused of "discrimination" , or of saying something "offensive" against someone lgbt, you'll have to prove you're innocent. If you're deemed guilty, you can be fined for even 45.000€ (i guess that would be more than 50.000$), but not only that, they can suspend your activities or close your company for up to 2 years. And of course, what is "offensive" is not defined, but instead it says the LGBT groups will decide what is offensive.
This means that they can fine someone they deem "offensive" and close their company if they can't prove they're inocent, without having to pass through a tribunal.
The law also apply to comments made in social media, or even in private, and even contemplates funny images as "offensive". Yes, they can fine you for posting memes, even if you send them by whatsapp to a group of friends. The law even say that having a neutral attitude can be considered discriminatory or offensive. In essence, you can be fined for fucking everything.
They even proposed that books or websites that are considered "offensive" would be destroyed. Yes, they literally want to burn "offensive" books by law.
This law is madness. It can be abused on an even higher level than our gender violence law. It gives an insane ammount of power to extremelly biased groups that consider practically anything to be an offense, and strips citizens of the most basic rights in favor of a minority. And these are the same people that spend their days saying that Spain is full of fascists. Yeah, it seem it is, but they have to look into a mirror to find them.
Seems like Valve was one of the few smart enough not to bite the hand that feeds them. Game Journalists and Developers can take a lesson.
Seems like a good solution
TLDR: We're adding graphs to chart reviews.
No other changes are planned.
Good ol Valve, actually trying to not completely fuck over the customer. Thats hard to find these days...
I'm very curious to know how they kill us atheists in particular.
Wait, does this make me oppressed too? I feel like I should be pretty high up in the oppression hierarchy. You all are just dealing with racism. People out here trying to KILL ME!
Obesity and beheading are basically the same thing.
I'm very curious to know how they kill us atheists in particular.
Same way they kill everyone else, giant sodas and lots of fast food. It's actually a very egalitarian process.
so much insight from rami "i defend islam because they are portrayed as terrorist in video games" ismail
... ostensibly an effort to protect the male safe space of gaming...
Not that I buy into safe spaces broadly speaking, but I thought the SJWs were all about safe spaces. If gaming is a male safe space, then why are they trying to invade it? Or do males not get safe spaces because reasons?
Because white cishet males are why the rest of the world needs safe spaces... Yeah..... So, to them, a safe space for LGBT or some shit is a refuge, while a safe space for white males is where they plan the next holocaust.
Because God forbid we just wanna play games and have fun
So Gamergate wasn't the first rallying point for the broad Alternative Right? What was?
Probably in 2015/2016 when CNN & co started pumping up the Alt Right's numbers in order to tie Trump with Nazis.
Gamergate isn't in any way about protecting gaming from feminism?
Gamergate is, in part, about opposing the notion that games need to be political vehicles. If you want to make a feminist game, we'll laugh at you, but we won't stand in your way. If journos start hyping your shit game for the sole reason that it's promoting goodthinkful politics, that's when we get antsy- because it's unethical.
Eron didn't allege that Zoe cheated on him?
No, he alleged that she abused him.
Nobody from the chans or anti-feminist circles sent abuse at game devs or critics?
1) Quinn, Wu and Sarkeesian don't count as either devs or critics.
2) The Zoe post didn't unleash anything on anyone except Zoe, who already had a well-established hatedom. Anyone else who received abuse had willingly jumped into the fray to bash gamers.
Hope not Hate should change their name to Listen and Believe.
So... gaming Youtubers mass exodus-ing the platform and moving to Twitch due to one of YouTube's biggest fuckups ever, and their method to "fix" this is to try to become Twitch 2?
Jesus fucking Christ.
Great changes for YouTube Gaming. I am still baffled at why people chose to use Twitch? I mean, with YouTube Gaming, all your content stays on YouTube allowing you to continue earning money on your videos, not just clips, the entire video!
Instead of fixing their shit to become profitable, they try to copy twitch because they smell their money.
Well this seems... far too little, too late. I mean from what I've seen gaming isn't exactly niche on Youtube and with everything that's been going on Youtube seems to not give a damn about gaming with the massive demonitizations. Which is insane because if there's one subsection of the creative audience that has a big and very real alternative it's gaming videos with Twitch. Suddenly trying to become Twitch lite doesn't help matters.
Especially now, I mean doesn't Twitch have an upload function that's been in beta for a while now?
So I confess to knowing almost nothing about this world. I have this caricatured image of the lonely, alienated male nesting in his parents’ basement in coffee-stained sweatpants. And when I think about that, it makes perfect sense that a non-controversy like this could spin into a resentment-fueled, half-ironic hate campaign against someone like you.
SO WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WRITING ABOUT IT?? WHY DID YOU DO EXACTLY ZERO FUCKING RESEARCH?????
This is literally why Gamergate exists.
So far the only difference between him and other journalists who have "covered" it in the last three years has been his admission that he knows fuck all.
Dude got completely snowed by her, didn't he?
"Maybe I should learn about Gamergate before I write an article on it?"
"YOU'LL RUIN EVERYTHING REEEEEEEEEEE"
Ah, who am I kidding. Willful ignorance is a virtue among modern journalists.
Twitter: Where violently denying someone the right to free speech is celebrated
Look, I'm no Nazi but waking up to this tweet was a bit too much to stomach. A picture of someone being punched in the face over speech. I don't care if it's a Nazi, a member of ANTIFA, BLM, the Christian Right... When did it become ok to promote violent facist cenorship (and of course label the person your censoring a facist)?
We've all seen Twitter delete entire accounts for simply disagreeing with the "progressive" movement but here we have a tweet with 60k+ retweets and Twitter does nothing.
I used to wonder why so many stories and works of fiction kept presenting villains whose motivation was that they were trying to achieve some glorious end by using utterly abhorrent means. I kept thinking, "why are so many shows/books/comics/games telling us 'the ends never justify the means' over and over? We get it already!"
Turns out no, a significant number of people apparently never learned that message, and that's rather terrifying to witness.
The take-away of a lot of people was "The ends don't justify the means except for that thing I support".
Their 'means' are suppressing free speech, and their 'end' is shutting up the 30 Nazis in the United States. I don't think they have any difficulty justifying those means. Hell, I think it's the entire point - they pick an unpopular group no one sympathizes with to try to get violent against, and once the principle of violence has been established, they start expanding their targets. "Trump supporters are Nazis too." and "Gamergaters are Nazis" and "Ben Shapiro is a Nazi"
That isn't even the bit where the online mob tracked his ass down via twitter and put all of this in motion
According to Twitter's rules, you cannot use Twitter to promote illegal activities.
It's illegal in and off itself to instigate a crime. So not only is he promoting an illegal activity, he is in fact committing an illegal activity by doing so (hence why Twitter does not allow promotion of illegal activities).
Spending more time telling people to pirate a game than reporting a child rape I see
No wink-wink nudge-nudge, just straight-up "acquire it illegally" on your verified account with almost 200k followers? That is at once monumentally stupid and monumentally ballsy. I'm almost impressed.
