Little tip for W&C that a lot of people don't seem to know: there's a chest that almost always has a bomb in the shack in the field to the right at the beginning. There's also a guaranteed (probably?) two heals nearby on the road.

Heals are not guaranteed, but really high chance. Have gotten pots/bombs from there before. Anyways really good tip.

Re the quests, they're about the same as yesterday. An orange trueflight for re-rolling, the blue version of yesterdays green trinket, and a blue you could play around with I guess. Here's to hoping for better stuff tomorrow!

People, get that mace.

BL/SW/HKB is a pretty good Last Stand weapon. The alt traits (BL/ERN/DB) are just not worth it for me because the mace has some problems in regular Cata and really needs a lot of experience to be effective in combat.

I'm sure some may disagree, but I think Mace is a niche weapon. Good for speedruns (MtR, GoM) and on maps with lots of SV (Foolhardy / Last Stand), but otherwise Wiz Sword is over 9000.

Ffs...At this point I would sacrifice my unborn Child du ranald if he would select a Red weapon that I DONT own.

Lich is better than a junk red :)

No doubles today, but for those who missed having The Fall yesterday, it is now back ;)

Trinket is ok, more useful in maps with limited supplies (The Fall!...) Traits on the Fireball staff are well grouped, however you'd want Earthing Rune on your melee if you ran that staff.

Traits on the bow also synergise well, it could be a fun weapon to play around with as it rewards headshots rather heavily...

If Skull Cracker activates at bodyshot does it also activate the inspirational shot?

I recently rolled it and it's my go to weapon for Kruber on Cataclysm. It just tosses rats around and randomly one shotting storm vermin is so satisfying.

Traits on the orange repeater are meh, really. And once again we have one DLC and one non-DLC key contract. Sorry guys!

It's a slightly obscure trick! If you're feeling good with axe&shield, don't worry worry too much about salvaging other greens/blues to fund your upgrade program. Once you get to NM you'll be pulling in oranges consistently so that's when you'll really outfit your characters.

Also, if you're newish, a tip for shield users is that most of the time your charged shield bash is preferred over shield push when fighting rats. It knocks them back, does some damage, and staggers Stormvermin. You can also spam it quickly and indefinitely, since it doesn't use any stamina.

Pushes you can reserve for clearing a path to run through rats (to a good holdout spot, for example) or for knocking rats off a cliff.

PSA for super new players: your charge attack isn't as slow as you think. You can hold M1 very briefly, let go, and trigger it much more quickly, and it still deals the same damage.

They expire if you haven't completed them. Once completed, you can store them indefinitely.

That's exactly what I do. Take the least unattractive item at any given time, put 2 keys a day in, and hold 3 keys (sometimes up to 5 keys if I'm holding 2 Cata contracts)

Can someone actually sell me on the traits on the Red sword*? Why on Earth would you want to have to choose between Regrowth and Earthing Rune on each attack?

* Yes, I know I'm one of the ~4 VT players actually using a flaming sword. I'd probably use it even if it healed the rats - rule of cool is a thing :D
