Double up on Black Powder, for both Nightmare contracts (convenient!)

It feels weird. The Fall isn't here today ;)

Regarding items, they are mostly meh to be honest. Save your keys for tomorrow, I think. Unless you're desperate for a blue hagbane or beam staff, or want them to forge I guess...

I -guess- hope they're waiting for me to finish the lichebone quest

Reds, where art thou?

Oh, also I won't be around until later tomorrow. Someone else feel free to post, otherwise I'll do it a few hours after it ticks over ;)

Shhhh... don't jinx it, I'm busy with it as well.

3/6 DLC Contracts

No doubles today, but for those who missed having The Fall yesterday, it is now back ;)

Trinket is ok, more useful in maps with limited supplies (The Fall!...) Traits on the Fireball staff are well grouped, however you'd want Earthing Rune on your melee if you ran that staff.

Traits on the bow also synergise well, it could be a fun weapon to play around with as it rewards headshots rather heavily...

Edit: words

finally, The Fall!

Yes.

If Skull Cracker activates at bodyshot does it also activate the inspirational shot?

I recently rolled it and it's my go to weapon for Kruber on Cataclysm. It just tosses rats around and randomly one shotting storm vermin is so satisfying.

3/6 DLC Contracts

1 key behind DLC.

Traits on the orange repeater are meh, really. And once again we have one DLC and one non-DLC key contract. Sorry guys!

It's a slightly obscure trick! If you're feeling good with axe&shield, don't worry worry too much about salvaging other greens/blues to fund your upgrade program. Once you get to NM you'll be pulling in oranges consistently so that's when you'll really outfit your characters.

Also, if you're newish, a tip for shield users is that most of the time your charged shield bash is preferred over shield push when fighting rats. It knocks them back, does some damage, and staggers Stormvermin. You can also spam it quickly and indefinitely, since it doesn't use any stamina.

Pushes you can reserve for clearing a path to run through rats (to a good holdout spot, for example) or for knocking rats off a cliff.

PSA for super new players: your charge attack isn't as slow as you think. You can hold M1 very briefly, let go, and trigger it much more quickly, and it still deals the same damage.

They expire if you haven't completed them. Once completed, you can store them indefinitely.

That's exactly what I do. Take the least unattractive item at any given time, put 2 keys a day in, and hold 3 keys (sometimes up to 5 keys if I'm holding 2 Cata contracts)

If EA owned Vermintide.

If EA owned Vermintide.

Now that is a low hanging fruit upvote bait if ever there was one.

Edit: there is a whole album I didn't notice. Quality.

For 50 UmgakGems, your team bot AI is enhanced to work wit tomes and grims

I was fearful that this would a low-quality umgakpost. But check out the photo series. OP put in some work!

There, but for the grace of Fatshark, go we.

2/6 DLC Contracts

No doubles today, but a red! ...at least it will get it out of your pool, I guess.

Alt traits are Improved Pommel, Earthing Rune Charged and Bloodlust. Hmmmm.

Can someone actually sell me on the traits on the Red sword*? Why on Earth would you want to have to choose between Regrowth and Earthing Rune on each attack?

* Yes, I know I'm one of the ~4 VT players actually using a flaming sword. I'd probably use it even if it healed the rats - rule of cool is a thing :D

More DoT. Won't matter.

Probably one of the most viable combination on the flaming sword, I'd say.

The alt traits are much better. Earthing charged, improved pommel and bloodlust

When there's a Ratling gunner but you're playing on Easy.

Oh, take your upvote

The best of the umgak posts. Have my karma.

We really need a flair for these umgakposts. Mods? And please take my upvote too, well edited.

did it really though? I mean, isn't that how dragonball always goes? :)

PSA: No Lootboxes in Vermintide 2 confirmed

PSA: No Lootboxes in Vermintide 2 confirmed

It is sad that this is worth mentioning. The sad times.

The only thing actually more impressive than Cousin Okri and that giant.

Microtransactionhammer - The Sad Times: Lootboxtide.

Look at the wording. "Selling".

I'm calling it, ranald's bones has been replaced by a loot box system. You just don't buy anything, you get it. And the dedicated trash items are keep decorations.

I'm completely fine with that.

2/6 DLC Contracts

1 key contract behind DLC

No double-ups today, but plenty of simple completions.

Today seems a good day to hang on to your keys! For those without the trinkets already, this version of pot-share suffers from reduced duration so has limited use. Thoughts, anyone? Is it still better than no pot-share?...

...

...

.......

They are throwing crap at us for some time already. Since like a week there are no really good items to get :(

Blue Trinket | Rack of Enhanced Vials (Speed and strength potion effects spread to all allies within 15 meters, but the duration is reduced by 33%) - 7 keys

This pot share is better than no pot share, but at this point, why even bother with it? If you have no better trinkets to equip, sure, but more often than not a 100% strength pot on you is better than a 66% pot on the team that (especially in public games) the other players won't see coming. I made it a habit to say something like "speed / strength 3 2 1 go" when I drink a potion with (orange) pot share to give the other players time to react, but even then they sometimes can't use it quite like me because they weren't ready for it. The result? I would avoid the blue pot share. 66% duration is just too short.

Blue Mace "Aqshy Battle Sceptre" | Bright Wizard (Improved Guard, Earthing Rune (Charged) ) - 4 keys

Wiz Mace has one problem: It relies on Second Wind or Dev Blow. This one has neither. I'd avoid it.

Green Trinket | Engineer's Tools (20% chance to not consume grenades) - 5 keys

Tbh, that's the best item on the board today. 20% is enough to bomb around a bit and you'll be happy everytime it procs (especially on Hard and below as there is no FF and on NM/Cata with bomb radius trinket to prevent FF). 5 keys mean it's fast to get too. If you're working on a red item, a hat or another trinket, please don't switch. But if you don't know what to get otherwise - hell yes. If you plan to use it with bomb radius trinket, please be aware that it might get nerfed with the upcoming DLC.

Do you have the flux, contract board?

New DLC announcement... Death on the Reik

New DLC announcement... Death on the Reik

For the people where Facebook is blocked:

Announcing the next DLC for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide: Death on the Reik!

"You're not gonna believe this, but one of my lads has pinched some... books... I've been keeping close. He's fled down the River Reik, and the skaven are in hot pursuit. I need you to join the chase, and get him before they do." - Lohner

Theft and treachery lead the heroes of Ubersreik on a chase down the river Reik on behest of the dear Innkeep.

Explore two new levels (Reikwald Forest and The River Reik), a brand new weapon for Sienna Fuegonassus and heaps more Skaven to slay.

As has come to be a tradition, we'll also be taking a balance pass on some of the items and traits - making adjustments based on both your feedback as well as our own tracking.

We'll have more to share soon on both the DLC and also a test phase we'll have in place ahead of launch.

"a brand new weapon for Sienna Fuegonassus", nice

Awwwwww yisss! I've been looking forward for that sienna melee weapon for ages.

River Reik in blue, lazy initials of existing game and DLC to the left.

The River Reik isn't next to Ubersreik, it's noticeably further east. The River Tuefel flows from Sanglac Castle through Tallerhof, Schluesselschloss, and Ubersreik.

Just before reaching Stromdorf, the Tuefel converges with the lazy Tranig river, which flows from the Grey Mountains near Karak Azgaraz down by Hugeldal towards Stromdorf.

Just north of Stromdorf, the angry Ober river, which originates in the Grey Mountains further to the South, converges with and strengthens the River Tuefel which then flows north until the Tuefel reaches Castle Reikguard and merges into the River Reik.

The whole area is referred to as the Reikland as it's the land on the south and/or west side of the River Reik and north of the Grey Mountains. By extension, the forest of the region is the Reikwald Forest.

The area east of the River Reik as it travels from Nuln to Altdorf is Stirland. Stirland is, as you guessed, bordered and defended by the River Stir across it's southern boundary - the Stir being over 100 yards wide and with few bridging points.

The area north of the Reik Altdorf is Middenland. The major river flowing into Altdorf from the east is the Talabec, which gives rise to the region known as Talabecland north of Stirland across the River Talabec.
