Remember, also, that after winning the election, he told us that the job of the presidency is a lot more than he thought it was.

So he was going to be too busy before he knew the job, and then the job was even bigger, so.... vacations!

"No one knew!...." Fucking imbecile.

My coworkers don't even believe that he goes golfing on weekends. They think it's fake news. This is why Trump gets away with so much lying to his base.

That's the thing about Donny John. He honestly thinks that when he learns new information he is the first person in the world to discover it.

It's a pretty large part of his narcissism.

I'm getting tired of how much winning is going on this sub. It's the only good thing to come out of this presidency.

Yea but they're not making it into his twice daily self-esteem briefings

Is anyone retweeting these to Trump?

I don't know how anyone could reasonably think that about Obama. Even if you didn't like him, he clearly was a competent President, unlike Trump.

But he eats mustard

And we take him for an idiot.. he can predict the future!!

And I bet those mustards had emails

That's a lot more coherent than I've heard him since he took office.

Dementia is a hell of a thing

Context:

This week Trump has called the removal of Confederate monuments "so foolish," and compared the removal of Confederate statues to removing statues of Washington and Jefferson.

But 2 years ago, in the wake of the mass shooting in Charleston SC, Trump favored removing the Confederate flag from the SC Statehouse.

Video is primary source of Trump's statement.

He actually spoke in complete sentences. And they made sense and I agreed with them. Is this a different timeline?

Trump just broke his own personal record, with a 34% approval rating, as tracked by Gallup polling[1]

Turns out saying people protesting Nazis and the KKK are just as bad as a group of people who take responsibility for the deaths of 6 million Jews, and/or people who praise the Charlottesville murderer, is not too good for numbers.

Maybe he thinks it's like a golf score or something.

Edit: Another devastating blow to the mod team

I'm frankly amazed - and a little disgusted - it didn't plummet into the 20's after his most recent press event.

It won't be captured for a few days. It'll be interesting to see how his supporters react.

I'm worried we are going to see diminishing returns soon. As more reasonable supporters abandon him, his core will become more dedicated and outspoken. There is nothing trump could do to disenfranchise them, besides mabye growing a pair and actually truly denouncing, and working to curb white supremacists. This movement is very much like a cult. They will do anything to please, and receive the approval of their leader. Frighteningly, we are already seeing the hardcore believers lash out, sometimes violently

I have no words. I can't believe this sub has run for four months consistently off of hypocritical tweets Trump made towards Obama that are both topical and relevant to his actions.

Edit: For those who are thrown off, this thread/my comment was made before he finally made a speech.

In addition, I'd like to point out why Obama refused to say the word radical Islamic terrorism.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/28/politics/obama-radical-islamic-terrorism-cnn-town-hall/index.html

TL;DR:

The President compared using the term to if a Christian were a murderer but claiming their religion in their actions. "If you had an organization that was going around killing and blowing people up and said, 'We're on the vanguard of Christianity.' As a Christian, I'm not going to let them claim my religion and say, 'you're killing for Christ.' I would say, that's ridiculous," Obama said. "That's not what my religion stands for. Call these folks what they are, which is killers and terrorists," he added.

4 months and still not come close to exhausting the supply of self-made hypocrisy from Trump.

Full text.

GS Mother: My son gave his life for acts of terrorism. Do you still believe that the acts of terrorism are done for the self-proclaimed Islamic religious motive? And if you do, why do you still refuse to use the term ... Islamic terrorist?

Obama: There is no doubt, and I've said repeatedly, where we see terrorist organizations like al Qaeda or ISIL -- They have perverted and distorted and tried to claim the mantle of Islam for an excuse for basically barbarism and death. These are people who've killed children, killed Muslims, take sex slaves, there's no religious rationale that would justify in any way any of the things that they do.

But what I have been careful about when I describe these issues is to make sure that we do not lump these murderers into the billion Muslims that exist around the world, including in this country, who are peaceful, who are responsible, who, in this country, are fellow troops and police officers and fire fighters and teachers and neighbors and friends.

What I've learned from listening to some of these muslim families, both in the United States and oversees. Is when you start calling these people/organizations islamic terrorist. The way it's heard, the way it's received. Is that we're are saying Islam is terroristic. And that makes them feel as if they're under-attack. And in some cases, makes it harder for us to get their cooperation. Do I think if someone uses the phrase Islamic terrorism that it's a huge deal. No, there's no doubt that these folks think they're speaking for Islam, but I don't want to validate what they do.

If you had an organization that was going around killing and blowing people up and said, 'We're on the vanguard of Christianity.' As a Christian, I'm not going to let them claim my religion and say, 'you're killing for Christ.' I would say, that's ridiculous. That's not what my religion stands for. Call these folks what they are, which is killers and terrorists.

Another block of text that I liked.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/08/what-obama-could-teach-trump-about-charlotte...

I spoke with Obama on a number of occasions about the dilemmas he faced in his fight against Islamist terror. I was one of those who thought he was rhetorically wanting, but I also came to understand that he labored under no illusions about the nature of the threat, and of the problem afflicting Islamic civilization. There is a need, he told me once, for “Islam as a whole” to challenge the radicals, “to challenge that interpretation of Islam, to isolate it, and to undergo a vigorous discussion within their community about how Islam works as part of a peaceful, modern society.” Refracting this conflict through the prism of a “clash of civilizations” of the sort imagined by the late political scientist Samuel Huntington would do no one any good. “I do not persuade peaceful, tolerant Muslims to engage in that debate if I’m not sensitive to their concern that they are being tagged with a broad brush,” Obama said.

Muslim radicals do seek the sort of civilizational clash that Obama tried to avoid, but reality has delivered them something else: a clash within their civilization, between fundamentalists and modernizers, between a small but murderous minority and a much larger number of Muslims who seek to co-exist with other cultures and religious groups. It is up to the worldwide community of Muslims, Obama believed, to shape the Muslim future. It was not the job of the president of the United States to insert himself unnecessarily into this debate, by using rhetoric that would be polarizing and dangerous.

Congratulations, /sub/TrumpCriticizesTrump! You are Subreddit of the Day!

This is definitely the best anti-trump sub imo.

That's because it's hard to argue with the man's own words.

I mean, his supporters still do it, but only because they can blame everything on trickery and libruls taking things out of context.

You guys are one of the few subreddits that make me laugh and cry at the same time.

And it's not like it's politically subjective either. It's literally Trump criticizing things that Trump now does... With evidence provided every time. You can't argue against 99% of the content of this sub.

At first the hypocrisy was making me laugh. Now it's just infuriating.
