If a giant white bear/yeti comes swinging at you and you're holding a sword of plasma there's only so much you can do

Obi Wan cut off an arm when threatened in the cantina, Luke did what he had to do.

Hamill is just saying he would have preferred if Luke only scared it off with his saber rather than inflicting an injury that probably killed it later on. He feels Luke should have understood it was only acting out of fear and its own nature, it's just an animal after all. Obi-Wan cutting the arm off a sentient being who willingly tried to harm/kill Luke in a bar is something different entirely. But I would argue Obi-wan maybe went too far in that as well.

It's coming right for us!!

Poor guy

I really wish they had some blue milk.

This is what the rebels want.

Pretty fancy dinner - protein and TWO sides? Nothing to drink though..

Plus why are they sitting next to each other? Would make more sense to sit across from each other.

I want to say something funny about this, but the guy is right. He is totally getting force choked tomorrow.

My favorite Vader comic panel

My favorite Vader comic panel
Mine is either from Vader Down: "All I am surrounded by is fear and dead men."

Or one of the new ones when he discovers he has a son.

The flashbacks in that one always give me chills. You can feel the emotion behind that mask

Ah yes. Your favourite you say? Allow me to ruin it for you.

The red sun reflection looks like pupils.

In my head, Vader isn’t even listening to Jabba. He’s just staring out, at all that damn sand, and thinking “I still hate it.”

Millennium Falcon wrench, hex, screwdriver multi-tool

All these tools look like they would hurt my fingers or not work well.

“Made a lot of special modifications myself.”

Why have 5 tools for 5 jobs when you can buy 1 shitty tool and get nothing done!

I would never use it as a tool yet I still want one.

Naming disappointment

At least my name isn't Lana.

Your name is Kowe?

Darth Knarf? It isn't supposed to rhyme is it guys?

LANAAAAA

I think, this man also deserves a lot of respect! The man behind Star Wars’ iconic sound design.

Listen to the commentaries recorded for the 2004/06 DVDs and the prequels. He goes into a lot of detail about how he recorded this or that sound effect, and makes it seem so easy. Then you remember he did a lot of his work on analog tape.

Lightsaber noises were something else.

Blaster sounds were made by plucking the guy wires on a radio tower, IIRC.

No movie sound engineer has ever produced a more perfect sound than this.

i think I saw some of that.

Wasn't the light sabre sound made from of banging on thick metal gauge wires near a electrical pole...and a bunch of other sounds...but i think that was the main sound used. Can't really remember...but it's something like that lol..

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher (1979)

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher (1979)

Damn, Carrie looks pretty here.

those jackets are worthy of /sub/streetwear

I feel like Hamill and Fisher had more of a sibling bond.

So you're saying they kissed?

PropStore sold one that belonged to Bill Westley at this year's auction for £5,000.

Can we take a minute to appreciate this legend? I don't think Star Wars would be as successful or iconic without him.

John Williams is a national treasure.

When you listen to the soundtracks alone, the prequels are masterpieces.

No way, classic synth music would have made it timeless! /s

In all seriousness, his music is a large part of why Star Wars is still relevant. It is classic and recognizable, but timeless and irreplaceable. There is nothing like it. Not to mention Rey's theme, just when I thought things couldn't get any better.

For a second I thought he died...

This gave me a sense of pride and accomplishment

Did it take you forty hours?

Because of the legs, it took me about 80

Wait until the cat knocks it over.

I heard the main body costs $80 but for legs DLC you'll have to cough up another $20

Let's show some love for the S-5 heavy blaster pistol, aka: one of the coolest looking blasters in Star Wars.

I'd also say the Death Trooper DLT-19 looks incredibly badass along with their armor.

Why you have two eyes?

Used by the Naboo security forces in episode 1.

In which film did this appear, and yes it is badass
