Lol, well I guess I now have an answer to the question I was asking myself of “when is fab fords this year?”
Today...it is today :(
Yep. I feel the pain. I'm out in UT. I'm going to be even further away from CA when I move to MI at the end of this year. So I want to visit family and friends out there a couple more times before I move. I really wanted to go to the Knotts show. That didn't happen because some complete tool at work already requested time off and they don't like our time off overlapping since its a small team. He had the last half of this past week off. The first half of this week off. Meaning any time off that could have been compatible with this weekend be it before or after is completely out of the question. I've been cornered off of it from all sides.
Feels like we are going to completely skip Spring.
I cleaned it Thursday and came outside to this. I always liked guard green ponies... but not like this
Since this seems to be a texas thread. Anyone have an h pipe with resonator deletes I can listen to in the dfw area. Also anyone going to cars and coffee at Tms on the 21st?
Agreed. My poor baby got washed yesterday and now shes covered in this yellow crap
Mine looks similar after washing it less than week ago. =\
Yeah, I'd probably leave the stock lights on a Shelby. Just me, though. Ferrari lights on a lesser trim are fine. A GT350 is unique enough as it is.
Those GT taillights tho.
You actually think those look good?
What color is the one with the goofy GT taillights?
See? Even Chevy/gmc know which American muscle car to buy.
Dammit but I love fastbacks.
dat 68 tho ;-;
EDIT* oops stupid keyboard its a 67
The 67-68 fastback is one of my dream cars. They are one of the few cars I can look at that is completely bone stock, not a sticker, stripe, wing or aftermarket wheel on it, and say it is absolutely perfect. I'd make the argument that it looks as good as the Shelbys from the same years.
Looks like a sweet ride to me. How much horsepower are you putting out?
It's beautiful :)
I always loved that front end more than the '03. Did '99 have the awesome turn signal tail lights, or was that '01?
I love it. The squeaks and rattles are part of the character. I feel the same way about my '95 GT Convertible. Definitely not the fastest Mustang out there but it's fast enough for me!
Or if you're broke like me, summer tires never came off!
Wondering if that's your daily and if so, then how much do you drive?
Dang, expecting 6 to 10 inches of nature's white blankie on Friday. The Goodyear F1 tires won't handle that.
What rims did you opt to get for winter/all weather tires? I've been looking to build a set.
I'm the slightly crappier one on the left. He's also got two more cylinders than I do :/ I still love mine though.
I have a 2006 v6 and man, those front grooves look amazing! I thought they were only ever on the concept car, didn't know they came on a production model
My favorite color combo! So striking
Man I love everything about my 2006 v6. I'm going to re do the paint soon and she'll be looking mean as ever!
Party up front and also a party in the back. I see you peekin’ at dat ass saleen! 😩
You could also get the '69 Mach 1 in the 390, also the 351 Windsor was available in both 2V and 4V carbs. The engine change in 1970 was to change from the 351 Windsor to the 351 Cleveland.
The Mach 1, I believe comes with a 428 Cobra Jet.
The 69 302 is also my favorite ever car design. Based on the prices of them, I’ll be lucky to even get a hold of a base model.
The Mach 1 could come with a 351 or, more rarely, the 428 Cobra Jet.
The 351 in a '69, as I recall, was the 351 Windsor and came with a 2 barrel carb and kind of meh. The Boss 302 probably had the better engine, despite being smaller.
It wasn't until '70, I think, that the 351 came with a Holley 4 barrel carb, and became a good option.
But I am remembering stuff I read 20 years ago, so take it with a grain of salt.
Nice garage btw. (Both the contents and the actual garage)
Thanks! I can't take much credit since I bought the house for this garage. The flooring and lighting are really my only additions (oh and the cars, although the previous owner was also a mustang guy).
Absolutely my dream to have both and a nice house with a garage. Have the 16 mustang GT but may trade it in for a F150.
Honestly I don't think I'd be happy with just the F150. The new ones are pretty nice, but they still drive like trucks (slow and terrible handling compared to the Mustang). Unless you need it for work I think something like an STI or a Charger SRT, or even a Golf R would be a better all-around if I just needed more space. I've honestly thought about downsizing before, but I'd really miss something about either of them.
