Nasty oblique kick in McGregor vs. Diaz I

Oh look - Conor in the Octagon.

Fook, I tore my MCL just looking at that

Ha. Can you imagine?

Oblique Kick

This is not an

It's a sidekick

Just because a kick targets that area of the knee doesn't make it an "oblique kick."

What have been come to be called oblique kicks like Jones throws are basically a technique from savate that Condit and Holly also throw and it's what Winkeljohn and Jon Jones are demonstrating in the video I embedded above. Cesar Gracie has also dismissively referred to them as "push kicks"

The kick in this gif is a karate/taekwondo style sidekick

Where is the Reebok money?

Where is the Reebok money? So the reebok deal has reached almost the 2.5 year mark of the 6 year deal. The deal was for $70 million and as of last nights card:

2017 total: $6,122,500
2016 total: $7,138,000
2015 total: $3,185,000
Program-to-date total: $16,445,500
(per mmajunkie http://mmajunkie.com/2017/12/ufc-on-fox-26-outfitting-reebok-pay-2017-payout-total-passes-6-million)

so as of today only 23% of the deal has been given out in 41.6% of the deal's duration. At this rate the UFC will disclose
~$39.5 million by the end of the deal (July 2021) leaving 43.5% unpaid ($30.5 million). Where is the other money going? I know the fighters are getting nothing from sponsors of the UFC but now they aren't even getting the full reebok deal that doesn't allow them to make their own money.

Disingenuous for OP not to count the one time 50% off discount given to each fighter at the retreat.

The fighters had to spend theirs to cover parking for the event. The rest went into some weasel's pocket.

shut up goof

I remember the phrase "100% of the money will go to the fighters" used quite frequently by Dana when the deal came about.

I know they almost never give them out for decision victories, but I think RDA deserved a performance of the night over Di Chirico. 50-45ing Robbie Lawler is insane and it was easily the most impressive performance on the card.

Guy needs to change camps. Alex Bicholsons dad really isn’t a good enough coach. Needs Parillo or someone like that to teach him to move his head. But every time is see perry he comes in better and better shape and always shows improvement. I hope he builds from this.

To be fair he actually had some decent head movement at times tonight! Would like to see him with a really good striking coach though, he’s only 26 after all. Has shown a lot of improvement already, he can definitely improve more!

He’s STILL MY BOY

Plenty of better camps in Florida too

Rashad territory? That's a pretty far throw man.

I think whatever injury he suffered to his leg during the 2nd or 3rd round really effected his output and sucked the power outta him which was probably extremely frustrating for him.

We should wait and watch his next few fights before we start comparing him to 'shad. I'm not saying your wrong, I just think it's kinda early to say he's that far gone

Until the knockdown he looked like he was really enjoying himself imo

What do you mean his heart’s not in it the first two rounds were really close and then he fought another 2 and half rounds on one leg.

He was literally smiling in the middle of a fifty punch combo

Dos Anjos is a beast at 170.

The fact that he could just bully Robbie the way he did is absurd. That strength is absolutely inhuman.

Ruthless Bob is not human. Give RDA a title shot asap.

Thicc Dos Anjos is such a fucking beast

Grappler, striker, great cardio, strong as fuck and fight IQ to top it off

Lawler is a zombie or a robot or the fucking Undertaker...he's not human

I know we all talk about Robbie being tough but RDA throwing 48 in a row like that is amazing.

Pretty sound parries for like 90% of those punches, tho

I wanna live in the world where RDA didnt break his foot and fought Conor
