"Yeah, but have you looked at this handful of bad draft picks?" -/sub/nfl
Big if true.
But seriously thats awesome. The day Elway came in and saved this disaster of a team. Love the man. He could kill a man in downtown Denver and 1000 people would say they saw Derek Carr do it.
Wonder why he used the phrasing "believed to be?"
handful of bad offensive draft picks in the first few rounds
So basically all of them right /sub/nfl?
That was such a crazy game! I forgot about Kevin Everett :( I know he recovered surprisingly well but has anyone heard anything lately about how he's doing?
I went into the kitchen and listened from there. I didn't want to see a miss.
and we've had so many in recent memory! this is right up there with Stokley taking a deflected pass to the house against Cincinnati, the Bengals fumbling the snap on an extra point, and Roby returning a fumble for a TD against KC for me.
Week one. I remember being elated with the outcome, but thinking the team was in trouble because they looked so bad against a bad Bills team.
It sure was helpful of the crowd to count down for the Broncos' special teams at the end.
Buffalo Bills discussion
I watched the condensed game they played against Carolina last week. Some thoughts:Offense They lost their LT Cordy Glenn midway through the 3rd quarter (reportedly an ankle injury). I don't know who they replaced him with, but I kept an eye on him for the rest of the game, and he played really well. Their offensive line collectively could not generate lanes in the ground game, and it kept the offense off-schedule. They were 4 of 13 on 3rd down on the day. distance on those 3rd downs: 10, 7, 7, 6, 14, 1, 6, 8, 4, 13, 9, 1, 16. Tyrod Taylor is a dangerous QB. He won't meticulously pick you apart, but his ability to extend plays with his feet is fun to watch. There were a few plays that the Panthers put a spy in the box, but it's really important to make tackles on him. Charles Clay made some decent plays underneath, but none of their pass-catchers worry me. I'm almost worried our corners will be wasted covering these receivers, while McCoy and Clay work our LB's and safeties underneath. Defense They're a talented defense. Their interior defensive line was stout; there was very little available for Stewart and McCaffrey. Jerry Hughes had a great day against Carolina's left tackle. I'll be curious to see how they choose to deploy Hughes and Lawson against our tackles; with this being our first game on the road, there could be protection issues in obvious passing downs. Their LB's are really active. Alexander was all over the field, and Brown made some plays as well. They showed some diverse looks, especially on third down. For a majority of the game, they showed both linebackers coming on an A-gap blitz. The majority of the time, they backed off into zone, but occasionally one of them would stunt around, and they were able to collapse the pocket on Newton. There was a lot of space against their secondary. Their corners tackled well, and got some good tips, but overall the defense had a hard time getting off the field, especially in the first half. They allowed 19 first downs and four drives over 5 minutes long, but made an impressive stand late in the 4th quarter. Carolina had the ball 1st and goal from the 2, and the Bills held them to a FG.
This game will be low-scoring and hard-fought. We're travelling across two time zones in the early game, with a new LT against their crowd noise. We have to keep their ends on their heels, and we have to finish tackles against McCoy and Taylor.
Going to the game! Driving 5 hours from Ottawa, Canada. Can't wait!!!
Is this a trap game for us after a dominant victory last week and the raiders at home the week after?
I will look forward to standing next to you when Denver is up by 24 and most of the Bills fans have left!
Huge potential for a trap game. Really hoping Vance and Co. don't let us show up unprepared/unmotivated.
We've gone from:
High ankle sprain
What a ride
Wake up tomorrow
Bolles has been found to have an extra bone in his leg which caused the missdiagnosis of bone bruise. Will return to practice today.
"Garett Boles diagnosed with inability to age or wither. Will only get stronger"
The extra bone actually only makes him stronger. He will now play left guard and left tackle simultaneously.
Voted. They both earned it this week.
400 yards and 3 TDs is going to be average against that Saints D this year.
CJ should win his, but Brady will win the air because popularity and he did put up incredible numbers.
They benched their best player in defense because they are shopping him. They are actively trying to get worse this year. Their defense was so bad that Trevor, a first year starter, was in a shootout with Drew Fucking Brees. I don’t know why they are trying to shed players. Brandin Cooks demanded to be traded, they got rid of Jimmy Graham in a robbery, and now they are shopping Vacarro. Are they getting rid of players to buy Payton more meth and Oxy?
Loved having Rod down on the sideline during the game, he was so pumped up watching DT do his thing.
We need to make sure he retires as a Bronco. Need to.
Rod is such a homer and I love it
After the Cowboys game he posted some really spicy shit on his Instagram.
Both were having the time of their lives.
Everyone was worried he wasn't a good rusher and didn't get a lot of sacks. That's Von, Shane and Shaqs job. His job is to stop the run.
IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. WHAT PEKO. IS COOKIN!!
Polynesian Power. I like it
Against the best line in the league...
This is amazing news. Really dodged a bullet here. Hopefully they don't rush him back. Let him get fully healthy.
Our bye week is in 3 weeks. He definitely misses Buffalo this week and home to Oakland, but he could be back for the Sunday night game against the Giants.
High ankle sprains have a tendency to linger, but I think it's less impactful for linemen than it is for skill positions.
Barbre seemed to have decent success at LT; I would imagine he sticks there, while Garcia and McGovern continue to rotate at RG.
This is the best news we could have hoped for. It looked much worse from his reaction (though he does seem to wear his emotions on his sleeve).
exhales sigh of relief
🎶Here's the story of man name Miller...
22 > 21
That's just basic math right there!
Look at him, so nimble, yet so low to the ground. If Major Von is THAAD missile defense and the NFZ are a squadron of F-22s, CJ is our A-10 Thunderbolt.
I am ready for the next rendition of CJ2K.
