It also took Johnny till 21/22 to make the nhl. Phillips is 19 he has a lot of time to improve
He's itching to go pro.
This guy struggled with being elusive when we saw him in the preseason. Being elusive is one of Gaudreau's elite abilities and I'm not sure a guy even smaller than Johnny is going to live up to the hype. He's a trading asset in my books.
There is more than one way for small players to succeed in the NHL. Very few small players play like Johnny does. Phillips plays a more similar game to Gallagher. Hard to say what he'll be until we see him in NHL games.
Nashville's record one year ago today. 31 - 22 - 9 for 71 points. Flames this year 31-22-9 for 71 points. Keep the faith people, Praise Scorch.
So you’re saying we’re not gonna win the cup
god damn it....
lol this is exactly the post I needed, cheers bahd.
Big air time!
This makes me feel better.
Injured in Nashville game, might not play Saturday https://twitter.com/KdotAnderson/status/966900756489019392
Hopefully it's nothing serious, a nagging injury would explain why he's slowed down drastically, let the man rest and return to form.
I like Ferland and he has improved greatly the past few years...but am I the only one that worries that if he isn't with Gaudreau and Monahan he can't do much? I mean they improve anyone they play with, but they inflate him quite a bit. A little like Colborne a couple yrs back.
Awesome we need his physicality coming here and not many people out there that can replace what he gives. Hopefully the injury or whatever it is, is not serious though
Somebody give this kid the A already, he’s clearly the heart of this team and seems to be the only one who consistently seems to care.
This kid's gonna have the C someday. Love him
Must be embarrassing for the guys wearing letters to realize a 20 year old is showing more leadership than everyone else combined
That being said, just because he's being vocal about it to the media doesn't necessarily mean he's showing more leadership than everyone else combined. Although I love Tkachuk, and definitely think he could be our C one day, Giordano strikes me as the type to air his grievances behind closed doors. Atleast I hope he's doing that right now, or we are in big trouble.
goal changed to chucky
He's a beast!
It's time to come home, Iggy.
Makes me so happy seeing him back on the ice. Can't wait for the day he wears the Flaming C once again, even if it's just for a day.
Pls go come win a cup!
Providence Bruins jersey, LA Kings helmet. Looks so weird.
It hurts but its true
Well if anything, if we do make the playoffs we’re gonna be a low seed so more road games ... yay.
I'm just here for the 5:00 free OTL giveaway.
What's the split for the remainder of the season?
Dude played three seasons for a college team after being drafted 104th.
hope so, pretty sure the dudes a masochist
Congrats! I really hope he turns in a good performance today
The last of the 2013 boii’s to make their NHL debut, congrats buddy
He keeps picking fights with guys that have like 6" and 40lbs on him.
Multiple bone fractures in hands from applauding too hard in the press box from last nights chronicles of Rittich performance
Good for him. The Flames may get something for Iginla yet!
How dare u disrespect Ben Hanowski like that?
Left-shooting LW, 22 years old. Among AHL forwards under 24, Klimchuk's 0.48 primary points per game ranks tied for 48th, while his 0.61 points per game ties him for 52nd. Guys around the same area include Lawson Crouse, Jayce Hawryluk, Oskar Lindblom, Mitchell Stephens.
Klimchuk's eventual roster spot probably looks similar to someone like Peter Cehlarik -- 9/10th winger on the depth chart who could chip in on PK and might chip in on PP if there's some tired guys.
