Okay, so that's my photo. 6 years a Redditor (not with this account) and I never thought I'd wake up, open Reddit and see my face at the top. Weird.

Edit: also the original non cropped version is on my IG...(with only 11 likes still), since I'm trying to get ready for work and can't do the paper verify thing at the moment. Same username.

Seeing faces recycled like this makes me think we are living in a simulation that was not programed to handle so many humans.

The original painting appears to be from 1891. It's no surprise that at 7+billion human beings on the planet some of our genetic traits are bound to repeat. Someone even sent me one where my "twin" was in a painting, was pretty spot on:

You are now a mod of /sub/hittablefaces

That's awildsketchappeared

Hey it's you, that guy from that reddit forum.

edit - Shameless plug of when Shitty and I met IRL

Hey it's you, that guy from that reddit forum.

edit -

Definite resemblance but she needs to work on her coquettish "oops I broke the pitcher but you're not going to tell on me are you?" look.

I thought you retired.

You're easily impressed. Try /sub/cheesedresses

Wow, they could probably unlock each other's iPhone X's.

It doesn't help that in Bouguereau's case we have no idea where most of his paintings are.

"Just start using lost paintings and stuff to model the new people; nobody will ever see them."

Huge collection of lost Bouguereau artwork discovered; to be displayed at Louvre.

"Shit."

Hey it's you, that guy from all the Reddit forums.

It's hard to keep track of reddit famous novelty accounts.

Fun fact - water pitchers were, for a long time, a symbol of (sexual) purity (along with other vessels like basins; a sieve was the ultimate symbol of purity, but that's another story).

A broken pitcher is, well, an obvious extension of that symbol.

Seriously?! Did you never post it to Reddit? I had a look at karmadecay for it. Better watch out. The sleazy dudes are already out in force.

I love this one. They even have exactly the same nose.

because some of us have great taste in fashion

I just liked it for you.

But why?

I was going to lose out on the karma anyway because I wouldn't post it under my main account, haha.

They have! There was a thread about this on /sub/tipofmypenis a few days ago

There really is a subreddit for everything, isn't there?

Well now you have this for your dating profile.

The guys that reposts* from all the Reddit forums

Such grate taste

Hey it's me, your programmer friend from school or work. I finally finished training the AI and I thought I'd test it out by running your face. This was all it came back with.

At Apple's announcement yesterday, they said their facial recognition would mix people up at a rate of about one in a million. That implies that each human has roughly 7,500 doppelgangers on the planet right now, at least as far as Apple's new toy is concerned.

I've tried to click on that link about 5 dozen times on my phone just now with no success. I give up

For finding famous art containing similar penises?

Are you saying she is a hoe?

She's up to no good for sure

First they take the dinglebop, then smooth it out with a bunch of shleem. The shleem is then repurposed for later batches. They take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo. Where the fleeb is then rubbed against it. Its important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all the fleeb juice. Then a shlammie shows up and he rubs it and spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There are several hizzards in the way. The blamfs run against the trumbles and the ploobis and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old plumbus

OP girl is closer to her painting than any of these examples.

Here I was born and there I died. It was only a moment to you, you took no notice.

Here's my look-alike painting.

B E G O N E T H O T

They're the same person. One of them just time travelled back from the future.

"When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I deactivated the face book and joined Reddit." - Reddit 1 Corinthians 13:11

I didn't know I needed a sub that's only people who looks like people in old paintings

I'm guessing it's the same person. Most likely a vampire

"He spoke, and the Subreddit came into being. He gave the order, and there it stood." Reddit Psalm 33, verse 9.

This painting was not intended to be subtle. "That girl fucks" - every Victorian guy ever

/u/warlizard ?

I think it's more of a "I'm sleep deprived from the long hours I work to make a living wage, and afraid that I'll be hanged for this crime"

This was posted an hour ago and I see no credit given to OP. Even copied the title word for word

It's everywhere on twitter, Facebook, etc. It was the best picture in a bored panda gallery. Reddit was slow on the uptake for a change.

379 likes so far. Can we get 1k? :)

This should be a sub-plot in next season of Silicon Valley. Guy makes fun app for finding lookalikes in works of art. Someone steals the code and turns into an app for finding lookalikes in porn and makes a fortune.

EDIT: Xin Jiang should be the guy stealing the code.

Time to patch the painting-person similarity bug in the next update.

It made its rounds on Facebook first. It was in a collection of pictures on some buzzfeed esque site that said something like "These people found their doppelgangers in museums." I clicked it despite being clickbait because your picture was the preview (first in the list) and I was staggared by your resemblance.

Anyway, figured you'd want to know.

Keep it up Mr. Shitty_Watercolour, you make my day with your shit water and colors.

Edit: Colours.

same

Started making trouble in the neighborhood definitely

It'd be cool to get all the closest 100 lookalikes together for a party crime spree.

he ain't saying shes a gold digger. but she is messing with a broke pitcher

You're just jelly you didn't post this first.

Eh, 3rd one gives her a run for her money. 5th one too. The rest just seem like the hair or facial hair that is similar.

It'd be cool to get all the closest 100 lookalikes together for a party

He was like an early version of the 'celebrity artist' during his lifetime and took loads of commissions all the time. He'd complete a piece and it would be shipped off to whoever commissioned it, but this was the 19th century and for whatever reason lots of the records of sale have been lost too.

Then he fell massively out of favour after he died so nobody was really going around looking for them. There are quite possibly hundreds of pieces sitting in random houses around Europe (or wrapped up in assorted attics somewhere) with the owners having little or no idea what they're sitting on. And given that he was French and his work was being bought quite frequently by well-off Western Europeans, I can't imagine the two World Wars helped. Lots of what we do have comes ultimately from American collectors. Every now and then one turns up though.

train an AI

I will now think of training a puppy as scripting a puppy.

This one's my favorite.

If you get off to everything then there are no fetishes

Hey! That picture is used on the cover of this book! I knew it looked familiar.

Someone painted a portrait of me when I was living in San Francisco. I came across the painting years later and it freaked me out because no one asked, I can't remember anyone taking a picture of me. But the figure has my favorite shirt on, striped and buttons. The same natural black bob in her face. The same baby cheeks. If you look close you can tell she is wearing glasses. It doesn't really look like me anymore, but when I was an emo artist on methadone living in the tenderloin, I looked exactly like the figure in this painting "Against the Wall" even captures the angsty hope that I had at the time. Hell, the boobs look just like my boobs did before I had kids. If the model wasn't me, then it is a very strange coincidence.

I was honestly freaked the fuck out. I messaged the artist, but never got a reply.

I didn't claim it was OC. I did a karma Decay search and found that it had never been on Reddit before. I thought that was weird as it's the best of these types of photos I've ever seen.

I've heard that the broken pitcher is a classical symbol for having lost virginity - it's been subject to a bunch of paintings and statues, after all.

Was almost sure that was gonna be Peyton Manning.

Ditto, had to open Reddit in a browser to get it to work. So much for "Reddit is better in the app" bullshit.

I love that they've given you a flair of that face now.

Probably not, for example, there can't be a sub called /sub/fuckyou

I stand corrected

famous art

I'm like 9/11. No one will forget now.

Link is borked

It's kinda messed up that the internet can make you famous without you.

Subreddits are spoken into existence

"Bring the breastplate stretcher before I soil myself!"

Great scott!

It's eerie how similar the woman looks.

Hey it's you, that guy who everyone wonders what he does for a living.

Cross posts. Which is encouraged.

I feel bad for my future doppelgangers

Bouguereau is one of my favorite painters. He was an absolute master that died in 1905. One of the most prolific painters too, with over 850 finished paintings to his name.

One of my favorite by him.

Edit: I could lose a good chunk of time staring at his paintings.

Or art painted with the penis, like Pricasso?

Edit: for those who didn't see the link I left below and think I just made up Pricasso.

Pricasso

that's Bill from KotH with hair

It's making rounds on Facebook as part of a clickbait montage. Probably the reason for this uptick in interest.

Everybody with a red shirt jump up and down.

I always wondered how, uh, plumbuses got made.

Here you go!

I'm not, but Bouguereau was.

She got in one little fight for certain.

I just gave it the 500th. What do I win?

Let me tell you something! 1 of my 7500 doppelgängers lives in my fucking town and he's a douche and works at wal mart and people really don't like him. I get asked if I'm him once a week, and it always just sounds like I'm lying and making up this alter ego that allows me to be a shitbird all around town. So, No, it isn't cool unless you we keep that shithead on the back porch.

This is America. We don't need none of them fancy extra letters
