Jumbo is comin for that trottier booty

What do you guys mean "not top 100th"? He's 17th... /s

Not in the Top 100, but Nieuwendyk is

Maybe not superstar level for his era

That's kinda the point of Top 100. You need to be a superstar in your era.

Tbf, Nieuwendyk had an incredible career as well. He had 1126 points in 1257 games or 0.90 PPG. Maybe not superstar level for his era, but still really good. I think they both deserved to be on that list.

I was more confused with the inclusion of Toews, Kane and Keith (3/5 of the modern day players chosen next to Crosby and Ovechkin) over Thornton. Certainly one day, but I think it's a little soon to have those guys up there over Thornton and a couple other players as well tbh. Thornton is the highest 3rd highest scoring player on the last 25 years behind Jagr and Selanne. Why wasn't Hossa selected either? They seemed to skip over the best of the guys who started in the 2000's.

I figure he could hit 14th by the end.

At this point kane and keith are definitely better all time than neiuwendyk.

Both have a smythe just like him, and regular season hardware. Toews i could see an argument for before him for his national team awards as well, but thats a harder sell admittedly. Whether either neiwendyk or toews is top 100 or not is subjective and not really the point of my argument

If you select Hossa then you select Marleau. Stats are nearly identical.
