This is Arizona Senator John McCain. He sold me and the rest of Arizona out to the telecom lobbyists for $84,125. John McCain has jeopardized our future for less than $100,000.

Let’s not forget about Jeff Flake. I emailed him recently about Net Neutrality and he assured me that I was wrong and Ajit Pai was helping our nation.

The worst part about McCain is not how beholden he is to these corporate interests but how much he tries to come across sometimes as a reasonable man, but still does things that are unreasonable.

Yeah I called and emailed him as well, same result as you. Make a Flake post! Help shine a light on their behavior.

I honestly think he believes that he's doing what's best for the country, which really just makes it scarier. How someone can be so out of the with the people but still represent them is just mind blowing.

Frosted Flake deserves his own post

This is a controversial position, but I ask sincerely:

"Why is John McCain a hero?"

Does the last 9 years of his life negate anything his hero status prior - starting with giving the Tea Party legitimacy by selected Sarah Palin as a running mate?

This is the same man who said just two months ago that he wanted to return to bi-partisan politics, but he's prepared to kill net neutrality and vote for the tax bill without reaching across the aisle.

I also email Martha McSally but she actually agrees with me which was surprising!

I might just do that! Do you know how much he sold out for or where I could find that info?

What McCain says is not usually what McCain does.

Vote republican, get republican.

Andy Biggs sold us out for $5,000.

According to this site https://www.theverge.com/2017/3/29/15100620/congress-fcc-isp-web-browsing-privacy-fire-sale it was $27,955

Why are there so many of these posts? Did something happen this morning regarding Net Neutrality?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Damn he’s an easy one isn’t he? Guess I’ll be making a post! Thanks for the link!

I just want to say that this is probably the most effective and impactful way to fight net neutrality, we know that Ashit Pai won’t back down so we have to put pressure on the public officials that can make the change the public demands! It also helps to put a face to those that have the ability to stop this

Now that's just sad. Have a little more respect for yourself Andy.

This man sold each citizen’s voice for 1.2138 cents. Not dollars, cents. That’s how little our government and our representatives care. The corruption in our nation’s government disgusts me, and I can’t believe how much it took me to realize it. Can we ever honestly trust another politician to represent us?

[beep boop, I am not a bot, yet I do plan to post this comment on each of the posts on the same topic with calculations for how much they sold each of us for.]

John McCain is disgusting

hes a lizard

To think, he was starting to get a bit of my respect for standing up to Trump, too. God, I wish he weren't so spineless, not as a Democrat, but as an American.

Don't forget Kyrsten Sinema! She just sent me an email saying that this is actually going to protect net nutrality. I have no words.

It's odd that she agrees with you because she received $40,500.

$27,955

He needs the money because he's a huge bitch

To be fair I'm still in bed. Who says you can't fight for a free and open internet AND stay cozy at the same time?

Thank you. I received an email from Jeff Flake yesterday. Now I know what the subject line of my response will be to him later today.

I had a momentary panic after reading your comment where I thought maybe it wasn't less somehow. Even basic math can be tricky when I'm still waking up.

Yikes didn’t know that. She said she supports net neutrality in her email but I guess money is more important than her own beliefs.

Guess today is the net neutrality day and I'm just sitting here wearing my slippers.

Sure thing!

How much did Flake get for his vote?

Agreed, I think u/pregnantChihuahua3 is on it.

We should have thrown him 7 to flip...

At least you got a response. I wrote to Trent Franks, Flake and McCain. Franks was the only one to respond. And this was it:

Thank you for contacting my office.  I appreciate the benefit of your views on net neutrality. I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should the House have an opportunity to consider this issue.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me.  I wish you the very best in life, and I hope you will continue to inform me of the issues that concern you.  In the meantime, please feel free to visit my website at http://franks.house.gov.

Most Sincerely,

Trent Franks United States Congress

Sucks a lot when Mcain shits on your parade. Wish he left when he was diagnosed

It's all an act.

It took a few tries to get Flake to respond to me. McSally responded immediately. McCain is still yet to respond even after multiple attempts.

I got a response from McCain once via email about a year ago. It was just the same generic kind of anti-government, pro-business rhetoric.

Not american, but expected McCain to be the most expensive senator on the front page. Why did ISPs pay more to the guy from Kentucky?

Yep I just posted it!

Pathetic loser. Vote him out and destroy his political integrity (not that he has any).

Your Senator is an arsehole!

If Mcain voted for it, doesn't that mean Trump is against it?

Thank you, OP, for letting us know that $84,125 is less than $100,000.

There must be some sort of batch push. I got a response from Flake and Sinema yesterday at the same time.
