Should Sunday's fight between Jessica-Rose Clark and Paige VanZant be for the inaugural /sub/mma Virtual Women's Flyweight Championship Belt?

Should Sunday's fight between Jessica-Rose Clark and Paige VanZant be for the inaugural /r/mma Virtual Women's Flyweight Championship Belt?

Should the inaugural /sub/mma Virtual Women's Flyweight Championship belt go to the winner of this weekend's fight between Jessica-Rose Clark and Paige VanZant?

Or should it be Justine Kish vs. Ji Yeon Kim? Agnieszka Niedźwiedź's next fight in *Invicta? Wait for someone else?

Here is the complete history of the /sub/mma Virtual Championship Belts:

Too high profile imo

all the others were not ranked when they fought/initiated the lineage

should be Justine Kish vs. Ji Yeon Kim

I don’t think you know how the /sub/mma virtual championships work...

Because it's not supposed to be the real champion.

Agreed. Winner may get a title shot if valentina or joanna don't move divisions. Kind of defeats the purpose of the virtual belt if it gets a unification fight right away.

Kish is the perfect balence of well known in /sub/mma and low ranked in the division.

The idea was to pick lower level a lower level contender fight to tag with the /sub/mma Virtual Belt. Then we'd follow the progression of that fighter, or whomever beats them, up the rankings and eventually to at title shot hopefully. Like a single game of fantasy mma we all follow together.

It was a little easier to pick the initial matchups in established divisions, but in a new thin division like WFLW its gonna be tough to find an early matchup that doesn't have at least some contender significance.

What?! No way! When did this happen??

Here is a poll

Yeah I feel that is perfect.

If you look at the body of this post the full lineages of each belt are charted. The fighters at the end of each list hold the current belts.

my fight suggestion is just 2 weeks away, just pick a fight like that. with fighters outside of contender-ship and real green

I agree, this could be a problem.

But with the division being so new, I don't think we are gonna get many matchups any time soon that arent going to create contenders. For example if Alexa Grasso had won the virtual belt she prolly would have fought for a title within a fight or two. I feel like the winner of this fight is as close to a title as the winner of Kish vs Kim, PVZ not withstanding.

If there are other ideas I'd love to hear them as well. I'm perfectly willing to wait if thats what most folks think.

Why isn’t it Nicco?
