I love this stuff. I've always been a huge fan of Andy Goldsworthy's work.
This would be even more satisfying in a circle, but this is also beautiful
A circle wouldn't work. It's on the equator. The reason the leaves are different colors is because the north side is fall and the south side is spring.
A collection of leafs of the changing seasons is probably not a study in permanence.
Fricking love that dude. Have you seen the documentary, "Rivers and Tides", about his work? Really interesting to learn about his mentality about the temporary nature of things. and how he will spend all day creating something beautiful for it to only last for only a few seconds or to have the tide or a river carry it away or rip it apart. Or for the sun to melt it. And that's part of the beauty and nature of his work.
Plus there are some kind of comedic moments that come as as kind of a surprise in an otherwise very calm film. Like him talking with his wife: "So are you going to do art today?" "No shit woman. Plus I got these dicks following me". And "you jerks best put down those cameras and help me carry these damn rocks" (obviously these are not direct quotes)
Just one gust of wind..
I like to make picture frames out of leaves. A couple years ago I made this . I plan on doing another this fall. Takes forever though.
Who cares what leaves do, they don't make rainbow carpets either, it's just pretty
Thanks for sharing that (:
Look at the end leaves, they seem extremely similar. The red end is already fading into violet.
Your upside down smiley disturbs me
