Dude has no knees and he balls out every goddamn week.
He also played the Super Bowl with a broken arm.
Build that man a statue outside of BoA.
Showed up like an hour late to the Panthers camp once to tour Wofford a few years ago (I forgot camp was going on) and it had ended an hour earlier and Thomas Davis was there still talking to fans and signing stuff. He even ran back to sign a kids jersey after he started to leave and a kid called to him. Class act.
Replace Jerry Richardson's with Thomas Davis
In 10 or so he years he is going to be my Antoine Winfeild in the Who was great no one remembers threads. Fucking amazing player who just went out did his job at the highest level on some great teams. Not a lot commercials or sexy stats to throw him into the spotlight. The quiet professional. One of my favorites.
I know dude, he’d probably play with two broken arms, no lie. but think about those knees, it’s probably just bone on bone now. A lot of wear and tear, too bad he couldn’t get a ring. Unless he does it in his last year.... one of the good guys in the league. Great dude off the field, but man I wouldn’t fuck with him on it.
He has not gotten the credit he deserves over the years because of playing alongside the best linebacker in the league. You won't find a tougher guy than Thomas Davis. He's battled through everything, 3 fucking ACL tears. Played in the superbowl with arm looking like a stitched up football. Panthers legend. Not only a great player but an awesome human being, hope to have him as a coach in the future.
Win one for Davis! Win one for Davis!
Thomas Davis is the quintessential Carolina Panther. A heart that was unmatched. He beat every odd he has ever faced. He recovered from 3 ACLs in a row to become a beast player and then played in the Super Bowl two weeks after breaking his arm. What else is there to say? 58 is a legend.
Let’s go win one for TD58. The very definition of KEEP POUNDING.
We gotta go 2003 Baghdad on that motherfucker.
he’d probably play with two broken arms
I'm sure he'd get help from his mother. How well you think Ms. Thompson can read an A-B gap run?
Showed up like an hour late to the Panthers camp once to tour Wofford a few years ago (I forgot camp was going on) and it had ended an hour earlier
Damn, what's that, like a one minute camp?
He'd play through it. Davis is motherfucking Iron Man.
I don't think people realize this, he was originally drafted as a safety, and played some (most?) of his rookie season at the position.
He was there in the '06 Championship against Seattle, as that was his rookie year. Was moved to LB, I think his second season, began to gain weight, and then had 3 straight years of an ACL tear.
I love TD58.
Damn and he’s still a better human being than you
He was drafted to put a stop to that fucking Vick.
Yes the Raiders have been the paragon of clean wholesome play
Yeah and before Luke came along he was second fiddle to Beason, who was considered the #2 LB in the league behind Willis for a few years
At least somebody does
JR will probably sell on the condition that his statue stays up.
He broke his arm in the NFC Champ game against AZ and still played in Super Bowl 50. I wanted that game for him so badly.
Damn, man, Antoine Winfield WAS good. That’s a name I haven’t heard in forever, but he was a baller.
That’s cool man. I’m a grown up. I know my mom does stuff. Who she chooses to do that stuff with is her business. So by all means enjoy yourself!
Hoping his last game will be played in February of 2019
Every damn thread
/sub/pitchforkemporium of course.
Yea I’m sure it’s the best 30 seconds of your night
As long as she likes it
I hope he takes all the time away from the game he needs and comes back as our LB coach. I never wanna let this man go.
Can't forget when he broke a finger on a play, reset it right there, and then made the tackle!
That dude is seriously Iron Man.
He's putting a curse on them
The only pitchfork supplier I trust for me and my family.
His statue outside of the stadium should be made out of titanium.
Him and KJ Wright are by far the best 4-3 OLB´s in the league. Sean Lee plays M/ILB, if im not mistaken.
I still get queasy when I look at this . His arm looked like a damn football, and he played less than two weeks after that.
Btw, I saw your flair and thought you changed allegiances...then realized it was a bandwagon. Hope it's just to jinx them. FTF
I hope you mean UGA or we'll have a problem
I'm an idiot. Of course he would.
Stabby McStabface here with the hot take. I like it!
I just hope he doesn't get injured like Smitty
Damn Good Dawg!
Id throw Lavonte David and Anthoney Barr in the mix.
Lee plays Will/OLB in the 4-3. He was a MLB but he couldn’t take the abuse. Lee made All Pro as a Will.
Hey man, come down from your high horse, take that wood, build a bridge, and get over it. You guys are acting like this is bountygate or something.
Damn, say what you will about Marty Hurney but the man could draft a linebacker in the first round
Typo smh meant to delete the second one but forgot. To late now lol
Keep the Panthers there. I like this idea
lol no. he's not any more dirty than any other linebacker in the league.
Best run support CB that was excellent in coverage that I can remember. Especially at his size.
By far one of greatest dudes at camp. I got his autograph at this years. He made sure to try to stop for everybody. Had his kids with him and let them sign my book too lol.
It is. FTF.
