How cute is that!
It's also great for the kids. They have reading therapy dogs, whose job is to listen to kids read to them. Develops kids' confidence, for one.
Fun story; when I was eight we adopted two bunnies that had come from a home where they were chased and picked up roughly by a young child. (when the parents found out, they rehomed the rabbits, cause they figured the kid would be harder to get rid of haha) I was going through a really rough time with my mental health at that age, and dealing with my parents relationship being very rocky, and some abuse from my mother who had her own mental health issues (she's much better now and we're working on the whole abuse thing)
Anyway, I would go out to the shed to feed the rabbits every night and sit in there for hours reading aloud to them. It helped them to get more used to people, and it helped me a whole lot.
Are cats a good audience though? I’m skeptical.
Only when they want to be.
It's shitty that op stole the exact same title claiming to be original op but at the same time the post is 4 years old. I'm torn. I'm keeping my pitchfork at waist level
I used to read to my cat when I was little. Probably depawnds on the cat.
You can tell its cute by the way it is.
This photograph is like 8 years old.
However, it's still cute AF.
Pitchforks or let it slide?
This program is doomed. Everyone knows a cat can’t see an open book without sleeping on it.
I imagine when they're cooped up with little company, some kid wanting to read to them is quite welcome.
This is awesome, I wonder why this isn't more widespread.
This is so fucking adorable. Love how the cat is looking onto the book with him.
Daww! and the cat seems to be enjoying the book too!
You already know they reading Cat In The Hat.
