2017: When rappers are making more of a difference than the US Secretary of Education.
Things I never thought I'd hear for $800 Alex.
I have a lot of respect for this man. Whenever I hear about him it's always because of some positive impact he's having on the world. Props to you man.
When Betsy DeVos was nominated for Secretary of Education.
He's personally donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and raised over $2.2 million more. Give the guy credit for taking action.
Same. I'm not a big fan of his music, not my style, but its almost impossible to not like him. I haven't heard a single bad thing about him honestly.
Edit: i suck at words, thanks /u/Itstheonlyway_k
Your analogies are bad and you should feel bad
I'm sorry but when was there ever any question that public schools matter?
2017: When people think being critical and not trying anything is justifiable because they're lazy pos. You're the 1 like/1 share of being a critic
You can say he's giving those kids... A Chance 😏
Don't forget the 30,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies he gave away at the beginning of the school year.
Perhaps nearly everyone agrees that public schools matter but that doesn't mean people are showing that they value schools with their vote or involvement. I was a special education teacher for the last three years in a poor district and it was incredibly frustrating to have increasing expectation with decreasing support and funding. In my area, districts were putting forward referendums for the community to vote on to get money for building operation costs (light, heat, etc.) and the communities would vote against it.
Are... Are you being sarcastic? Yeah those things cost money, they'll always cost money It's an investment in our countries future. How do you teach kids without any of those things?
