There are no private prisons in Canada anymore IIRC

It's the only logical choice in cases that people were arrested for doing something that will be legal.

Selling weed is still going to be illegal after July 1st. I think possession charges should be wiped off the books but trafficking should be reviewed on a case by case basis because there are ties to organized crime.

We dont have for profit prisons.

"Legalize and regulate" is bit generous. Last I heard it seemed like the plan was to legalize it at a federal level, and apply federal tax, but leave the brunt of the heavy lifting of legislative regulation to each provincial/territorial government.

Then dont bring it across the border... Borders are a federal responsibility and in the US the federal government has been changing its position on cannibals, and its not legal.

Cannibalism is a serious issue.

LOL

Does any country other than the US have private for-profit prisons?

Good. Private for-profit prisons have no place in this world. I have no words for how much i despise that whole system and the people in power who support it.
