I’ll always upvote Chris “The Ref” Leben. Nice pics man

Not bad. I think these are awesome, but I would suggest that you adjust some of your camera settings. And I say this as a pure layman who just knows a thing or two about photography, so take it with a grain of salt.

These pics look absolutely epic. Like great wedding pics. Lighting is low, the focal points pop. Very impressive considering you were shooting an athletic event. But (and here's the big "but"), I think for photojournalist opportunities these would just be too dark. If you look at most photos that make the rounds from MMA events, they let in far more light (the camera settings ie shutter speed/iso/aperture). You can keep the aperture to get a shallow field of depth, too, even with that extra light.

Of course the name of the game in mma/sports photos is catching that special moment, which is a bitch in and of itself. But these are really nice, definitely an artsy take.

some of these are really good man, keep it up!

Oh wow - nice captures! 26 and 33 are great shots. I think we found a contender for worst tattoo though (44). Was it easy to get cageside? Did you volunteer or get a gig?

This is some good stuff! I like your framing most of the one but it feels a bit messy sometime. But that’s also what I like. Is it something you do on purpose? You could also check your white balance / post processing to make those white lights a bit less rough. It’s far from ideal lighting and makes some of the pictures look a bit cold.

This was my total amateur opinion by the way, keep on rocking!

What camera gear were you using to take these?

Yeah I agree that the photos could use bit more light but other than that they were really good

I thought the exact same thing when I saw that tattoo, what on earth was he thinking.

Dat resolution tho

Some real intense stuff there. I'm not an expert or anything, but they look very professional.

These are sick.
