Thanks again to /u/thePeachesChrist and /u/Tom_Salami for working with us to set this up!

It was really great but also REALLY FUCKING COLD! If you look at us at the end of the show, you can see that we are literally shivering and it was the middle of the night, outside, in the woods... but otherwise great fun. Coco and I were stuck in the attic together for HOURS

You're gay

well, "do you think i'm pretty?" obvs

OMG, all these questions about favorites- are you trying to get me in trouble?!? Both Bob and Jinkx have asked me to be their drag mom and even that created a rivalry. I'll say that when Sharon won, it was the first time I felt like the school of drag that I come from was really represented on the show and the fact that she won was extremely satisfying and I feel like it was a real game-changer and shift for the show

Hey there Everyone, I have to run to a meeting but have so enjoyed meeting you and your questions have been great. I'm gonna get back to answering when I get home tonight. Thanks ghouls!!! XOXO

Both of these questions are impossible to answer because they're all my babies and I really do love working with the girls for different reasons in different ways. HOWEVER, I have some that are real faves like "Return To Grey Gardens" with Jinkx, and "Sheetlejuice" with Bianca, and "The Craft" with Sharon and Alaska and Honey, and "Legally Black" with Bob, and "Mister Act" with Willam and Latrice

Honestly, it was Jinkx who had bothered me about doing it for a few years and I didn't really grow up with it so when I re-watched it to consider it for a show I really understood what younger people loved about it. Those three actresses, Bette and ladies are DOING DRAG! They're incredible, like Elvira or something and when I realized that- it was easy to get inspired to create the show

One Latrice Sized Kenya Michaels.

It feels strange and flattering.

What would you want to say to Little Joshua?

Some I haven't worked with in that way? Well, Varla Jean Merman and I have worked together but I'd love to create a show for her. I really like Sasha Velour and would like to do something with her. Also- I'd love to do something someday with Vaginal Cream Davis

How did you like judging on Dragula?

Would you rather fight one Latrice Sized Kenya Michaels or 100 Kenya Sized Latrices?

It was my combined discovery of Divine in the early John Waters movies with The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I was probably 12 when I learned about this stuff, growing up a Catholic school girl in Maryland

I really thought Victoria, James, and Bitch stood out as the front-runners. All VERY talented

I find my audience by putting one heel in front of the other and have been able to build Peaches Christ Productions that way... I'm comfortable in my sustainability because I know how to produce events and create content and write and direct. So the popularity of other queens only inspires me- it doesn't threaten me.

Hey Peaches, you're soooo pretty 😉 How does it feel to be known as such a legendary figure in the drag community?

It was for my senior thesis film "Jizzmopper: A Love Story". I don't recommend having your first time up in drags be filmed for all eternity on 16mm film.

You'd think it would be a Peach, but probably a really, crisp fall apple is my favorite

I often get confused with Charlize Theron. Pineapple on pizza- yes!!!

And sadly it's Charlize in the movie "Monster"

Awe, thank you for the kind words!

Just here to say thanks. You're as legendary as Ru, you and all the Trannyshack girls. As a straight, white girl who grew up on a farmland on the Wisconsin border and never quite felt she belonged in my uppity neighborhood/school, your shows have been something that always kept me going and (still to this day) get me up and chasing my artistic dreams.

I think drag is so accepted now that part of the thing that made our early performances so transgressive was that drag itself was socially unacceptable and that notion really fueled us to be angrier, wilder, crazier

I think drag is so accepted now that part of the thing that made our early performances so transgressive was that drag itself was socially unacceptable and that notion really fueled us to be angrier, wilder, crazier

Hmmm, well of course it's changed- that's undeniable but it would have to so I don't really see the value in nostalgic whining about how good it used to be and also enjoy sharing stories from the past if people are interested. I love drag and am really enjoying the young queens and the popularity it's experiencing. Trixie was my roommate in Ptown this past summer and I think we inspired each other, and learned from one another, and a generational divide can be an exciting and informative experience.

Frankenhooker Desperate Living Trash Happiness Spider Baby Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

I grew up really Catholic and was angry when I came out and started doing drag about the fact that the Catholic church had made me feel so horrible about my gayness. It was a partial re-claiming of something as well as a FUCK YOU to the people that told me I was going to hell.

On it.

You won't believe this, but I've been negotiating with a producer in Dublin. So, fingers crossed for 2018!

Who do you want to win dragula

I don't think Drag Race can or should represent all drag acts. It's a really well made TV show that's entertaining but drag is so much bigger an more than on TV show can represent. I think this is a good thing. Drag Race is its own thing and it's a great thing, but it's just one part of the wide world of drag out there.

Jinkx always has to take a pre-show shit.

I would say that to really understand where the SF Drag scene is coming from, folks should check out the movie "The Cockettes" as well as "Vegas In Space" and see that these groups were creating groundbreaking drag performance in the late 60's and early 80's. The SF scene is for sure pushing more of an artsy angle and a lot of it isn't "TV Friendly"... I think a local queen who would do great on RPDR is Mahlae Balenciaga- she's wildly talented

If you were able to hook RuPaul up to a lie detector machine like the cast of Dragula, what question would you ask?

I think Dragula is WONDERFUL!!! I'm a big fan of both Drag Race and Dragula. I think it would be amazing if Drag Race started having Drag Queen judges on... obviously, I'd love to be considered. But I'm not holding my breath.

I've been lucky, especially with regard to drag talent that people show up and act professional. Occasionally there's a queen who can't memorize her lines quickly or something like that but that's normal. The most unprofessional stuff is usually from non-drag performers

My first ambition as a young person was to make movies and I actually studied filmmaking and drag was a later passion and hobby and as I got older and mixed my love of horror movies and drag, my shows were sorta born and the shows included movies and the whole thing for me is really symbiotic and there's overlap everywhere in the "Peaches Christ" world between film and stage

Can that please be your new show

Peaches Christ, headbop you're juicier than the forbidden fruit! Condragulations my dear, you're the winner of this week's polygraph beauty awards.

This is actually something that I've been working on mentoring Erika Klash to do and she's working on a project that I'm advising her on.

Instead of putting out a DVD of one of our stage-shows I'm working on making a movie version of one, that we'll hopefully shoot next year.

What was your favorite show that you've created and what Ru girl was your favorite to perform in the shows with?

It looked like it was freezing! Ps you looked great! Look forward to hearing more from this AMA. Thank you

PAUSE- Peaches is at a production meeting for a lil while and will be back later to answer more questions! Thanks everyone for the love!

Oh good I didn't miss It! Happy to have you here /u/thePeachesChrist !!!

What inspired you to do Hokum Pokem? I lived for Hocus Pocus growing up and was glad to see it get the respect it deserves

Actually, YES! My Brazilian friend introduced me to her on Istagram and I follow her. I'd love to come back to Brazil! I was there in 2011 with my movie "All About Evil" and loved it. We won an award in Porte Alegre

I think if you're going to parody a celebrity's name you should make sure it's one that will be relevant for a LONG time : )

How did you come up with your drag name? It's brill.

Who is your favourite RPDR winner? Was there someone you wanted to win that didn't?

Of course! I cast lots of girls from all aspects of drag but of course the Drag Race girls often get the most attention- Heklina, Coco Peru, James Majesty, and so many more have been in our shows

Getting the script fully written

I usually become a fan of theirs, whether it be from seeing them onstage or on TV and then find inspiration from their character enough to be able to envision them in a favorite movie role. I'd say it's good to be nervous! Use that energy to create a great performance and after you get your first few laughs, trust yourself and have fun.

They were so doing drag. It was like a life inspiration. For some little gals and gays Carrie Bradshaw is the only SJP and for others it's Sarah Sanderson. Thank you for being you and keep it real.

Israel

I should create an album of posters!!! That's a great idea, but I think that since I stated back in 1998- I'm not sure I have every single one.

The Wizard Of Oz!!! Because I wanted it to be grand and spectacular and tried to re-create way too much of it and the whole thing was maybe more ambitious than I should have made it.

Let The Right One In is one of my faves!

Hi, Peaches Christ! What is your favorite fruit?

How did I not know you did The Craft w Alaska Sharon and Honey ???? Please revive it and bring it to Philly.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend a screening of All About Evil and loved it. Can you talk about the relationship between drag, horror and camp, and what compelled you to make the film?

I have. We did "The Witches Of East Village" with Chad and Coco there, as well as "Return To Grey Gardens" with Jinkx, Bob, and Mink... and more. I hope to come back again!

Do you think a show like drag race offers an easy way in for the general public to enjoy the counter culture of drag or do you feel it's more a hindrance in offering only one small part of the culture? In recent years of the show, we've seen more contestants who are "conventionally" attractive, even as boys. Do you think it should be a fair platform for all drag acts?

Bob, because Bob showed me a tattoo that a fan got of him once that is so terrible it makes me laugh anytime I think about it. I'd have that same tattoo recreated on my ass. I wish I could upload it here.

Hey there, I've been bringing shows to the UK for years and years! We just did Hocum Pokem in London and Manchester. I was almost banned in Belfast for being blasphemous and lewd. Regarding movies, I'd like to maybe bring to stage: Grease Troop Beverly Hills Scream The Devil Wears Prada The Women to name a few

pineapple on pizza- yes!!!

I have decided to stan forever

What was the "reality vs expectation" moment for you when you first started doing drag?
