Sorry, we require at least 7yrs of experience..

with 7 years of experience with Duplo.

"We feel you may be...overqualified."

All that experience and it just shows him next to a bunch of unbuilt blocks? I hate to break it to the kid, but he lacks imagination

Don't forget Microsoft Word and Excel experience just cause.

It's awesome that they let him shadow the people who do the job. That must've been a great experience.

Then they hire a Mexican kid who will do it for less and they get a diversity hire as an added bonus.

/sub/recruitinghell

They're snakes you fool.

This kid is gonna be the person who actually manages to be a recent high school graduate, and has 10 years of experience.

Loving Lego is the first step to being a model maker,

Yeah we don't have fun here

A six year old?! When I was six, I got outside and messed around with my siblings. Darn kids these days being more productive that I ever will be in my life

Edit for context

You're in the wrong sub mate

The first step is actually getting a degree in architecture.

Comedy is allowed anywhere

"6 year old's parents applies for job as model builder"

I hide my Lego so brother can't get it

Probably would've got the job, except for above admission. 1). Doesn't work well with others 2). Monopolizes resources for own personal gain. Neither are good attributes in a corporate work environment.

And he can add it to his resume in 11 years that he worked at Lego as an intern.

TUNNEL SNAKES FOOOOOOL

The plural of lego is lego you plebian

Stupid child labor laws man 😭

Good bot

50$ says that at least 6/10 people with degrees in architecture got started on legos

"muh casual raicism"

Learn to take a joke

TUNNEL SNAKES RUUUUUULE

No :( but he got a day's work placement to see what it was like inside.

we should build a wall around bad jokes and make them pay for it!

"I see you've listed 7 years of experience with LEGO and Duplo and Word and Excel. That's 28 years of experience, however you are only 26 years old. If you were just going to lie on your resume, the least you could have done is check your math. Just... just get out of my office."

You are the 6297th person to call /u/GoodBot_BadBot a good bot!

/u/Good_GoodBot_BadBot stopped working. Now I'm being helpful.

How is this uplifting? If my friends little brother plays video games all day, and applies for a job at Activision, is that uplifting? No it's not, neither is this.

I read it as a shot at shady company practices not mexicans stealing jobs

legii

This guy deals with management

Good bot

WE'RE THE TUNNEL SNAKES. THAT'S US—AND WE R U L E!

Free PR and labor, why wouldn't they?

Did he get the job?

And we'll also require 7 years of experience with building in Minecraft.

Kid's gonna need a portfolio website to prove his mettle.

But the white man is the one being exploitative in this scenario, isn't the joke pointing to that?

Did he get dat check? You know bitches are all about dat paper

The mexican kid would only be there until they outsource it to some indian kids.

It's not racist. It's a realistic metaphor. It is actually addressing an issue that should be addressed, the issue of a Mexican having to accept a lower quality of life just to get a job and businesses preying upon that.

Every entry level job ever.

I'm quite accustomed to Reddit bleeding into Facebook, but not so much with Facebook bleeding into Reddit.

Good bot

You didn't read the part where they gave him a full day tour, showed him how they build and maintain the models, and he was super enjoyed about it? I think it's pretty uplifting to see them take the time to inspire this kid...

It'll soon be Minecraft knowing my nephew's

Seriously. Now this kid is going to be jobless, homeless, on drugs, and living off govt benefits bc he lost his dream job.

What a let down. /s

Pretty sure the guy was being sarcastic, dude.

We also need you to upload a copy of your cv and then also retype everything on your cv onto this really glitchy and inconvenient website that constantly wipes out your information.

For ages 7-99. at 100 you get the boot.

Can't tell if shitpost or not... going to go ahead and do the /s for you

Oh yeah, Merlin Entertainments (who own the various Legoland parks) jumps on shit like this. Legoland will already do workshops like this for massive classrooms of children, so I can imagine this was pretty much the same thing just with one kid and a chance to make themselves look good.

Source: Worked at a Merlin Entertainments attraction that was next to a Legoland location for three years. It was hell. Never. Again.

"Don't say racist things because stupid people will think you are being racist"

Who then fuck everything up and need to call back to the US devs and ask them to fix everything

sorry kid but that would be child labor X D

legopodes

...and receives first rejection letter. Welcome to the real world, jackass.

I think messing around with your siblings is a different sub...

Although I really hate when some of these kids these days spend hours, and I mean HOURS of watching kinder surprise eggs.

r/ThisIsStupidSpamPleaseGoAway

When he applies as an adult having to answer the question, "Have you ever worked for Lego before?"
